I recently flashed the new StatixOS 3.0 (Custom ROM) from the ug plus roms thread. I wanted to return to stock since there was an annoying bug on it. But after I flashed the latest stock rom from lolinet and ran all the commands to revert the state of my phone, I also ran the command fastboot oem lock to lock my bootloader. Now my IMEI is showing "0" and I can't reflash the stock rom again, since it gives me a " (bootloader) flashing permission denied error.
I can boot into the OS, the fastboot and the stock recovery.
The "OEM Unlock" Button is greyed out with: contact your carrier or connect to the internet. The WIFI works so this must be a bug.
Can I flash it via stock recovery any way or bypass the greyed out OEM unlock button in any way?

in bootloader screen i can see in red « PHONE Unlocked » and just under in green « FRP Lock ».
in nougat settings, OEM unlock is grayed out in disabled position in settings (maybe it's normal as i unlocked the bootloader already).
i already flashed before successfully TWRP and stock recovery both in MM and nougat without problem, but it's not working anymore.
« flashboot oem lock », « flashboot boot », etc… are giving the same error. only basic things like « fastboot » reboot works.
I googled for hours my problem, it's all about people having their bootloader not unlocked.
Any idea?
Well, i reply to myself, the FRP Lock was the problem, and a bug in B301 prevented me from setting this to off, i had to do a rollback procedure to EMUI4 (rollback update + full firmware update) so that i could disable FRP lock by setting the OEM unlock option (which way available after 2 reboots).
be prepared to have backups, hopefully one day we will have full firmware for nougat available!
edit: dunno how to mark a thread as « solved »
Hi, i have the same Problem, FRP is locked and bootloader unlocked...how did you rollback to EMUI4? I cannt enter TWRP...is it possible to unlock FRP in fastboot mode? THX for your help!

Well, i placed the rollback files in dload folder of the external sd card then i entered recovery to apply it.
It is not normal that you can't enter any recovery, you shall try the 4 combinations to be sure (boot with or without the cable connected, and with either vol up or vol down), one of the combination will bring you to fastboot and another to the installed recovery. Try also with both up and down pressed just in case ^^
I seem to have lost the ability to unlock the bootloader of my XT1700. I previously had unlocked the bootloader and installed TWRP and SuperSU, which took a while to figure out, but it worked. Today I tried to install a newer version of the stock firmware using SP flash tool (from here), which seemed to work fine, except now I find I am unable to reinstalled TWRP or SuperSU because I cannot unlock the boot loader.
When the phone boots, I still see the "device unlocked" message, and I have enabled oem unlocking and USB debugging in the developer options menu, however when I go into fastboot mode, if I run the "fastboot oem unlock" command, when the phone prompts me to press up or down, I get an "unlocking failed" error, and Fastboot reports "Unlock operation is not allowed"
Any ideas on how I can unlock this device again?
So it seems like those firmware images must have locked boot loaders. I ended up installing an xt1706 firmware instead (from here) and was able to unlock the boot loader successfully.
Anyone know where to get xt1700 stock firmwares with unlocked boot loader?
Hi,
I've tried all the following steps in the video and I got the error "flashing lock is not allowed". I've already flashed stock rom and recovery and wiped the phone so it's as stock as it gets yet I still get the same error when I enter "fastboot oem lock". Please help ASAP!!!! I'm trying to update to Android 8.0 but the update keeps failing because my bootloader is unlocked
Thanks in advanced.

Go to developer settings.. check the oem unlock option. If it's off, bootloader won't relock. You need to turn it on. If it's greyed out & can't be turned on, then you need to root your firmware or flash custom rom & turn it on.
When you have this problem, only magisk will help you turn on allow bootloader unlocked when it's grayed out.
So, you have to flash magisk, turn on allow bootloader to be unlocked in devlopper settings, then flash a clean OOS, make sure there's no modification like custom recovery or root, then relock your bootloader.
Good luck!
use command "fastboot flashing lock" instead of "fastboot oem lock", this will lock your bootloader
hope this tutorial will help you....!!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CQYCSdDUdAU
I had the same problem and solved using magistik, reenable unlock volta loader and After relock.
Hello all! I have been trying to unlock my bootloader on my SGP311. I have searched the threads, followed the instructions, and still have problems. i initially looked at my service menu to determine if it is unlockable and it said yes. I then went through the steps to unlock it and it kept saying failed. Then, it finally worked, and my tablet rebooted. i got dual recovery loaded and then proceeded to wipe and install lineageOS from recovery. recovery kept failing to install the new rom. i then had to reflash a stock rom because the tablet wouldnt even boot into recovery again. now my service menu simply says rooting status: unknown and says nothing about the bootloader. What the heck happened?

You can't install LOS Rom from the dual recovery (XZDR). By flashing stock ROM, you bootloader may be locked again.
Check this guide to unlock it, and install LOS.
It simply will not let me unlock the bootloader anymore. And I can't seem to find a firmware that I can flash to get me to the appropriate version
so far, part of the problem is flashtool in androxyde still using the command fastboot -i 0x0fce oem unlock 0xkey. windows 10 denies this command every time and should be fastboot oem unlock 0xkey. But even doing so manually through the cmd prompt, it still will not let me unlock the bootloader. does anyone have a ftf file that has an unlockable bootloader? seems mine locked up completely when i reflashed the rom

bootloader is in device, not in firmware, so no such firmware exist you ask for.
Hi,
I am having a problem trying to relock my bootloader.
i am selling my g4, so needed to remove my custom rom, flash stock and relock my bootloader.
I downloaded and flashed via twrp the stock 8.1 ROM on the g4 plus page. ( stock rom in twrp format)
That went fine.
Then I booted into fastboot , and entered fastboot lock command fastboot oem lock
It said the android image was not valid?
So I then entered fastboot flashing lock
it rebooted fine to the stock android , but now the bootloader warning says ''your device has loaded a different operating system'', and thens boots 8.1.
DO you think I should go back anf flash stock rom ( not a twrp flashable version), using fastboot commands, ending with 'fastboot oem lock' ?
Just dont want to brick it, as it is now sold!
Many Thanks for any help

P.S. the TWRP I am using is a custom one ( i think )

Use LMSA flash rescue option if you have a Windows machine
(Lenovo) MOTO Smart Assistant (PC)
then see
Relocking the bootloader

THanks for the reply.
Strange, thought I had already updated this
I went back to stock firmware and decided to flash with fastboot all individual files.
At some point, I got the same ''verification failed' but the command line suggested flashing system, boot, and ( something else, cant remember) again.
i did this this, and this time, no errors occured, and I had a complete install, with a locked bootloader, and no bootloader warning screen.!
Yay - result
Thanks again for your advice - I will remember it for the future.
