- now been repaired by local shop
- i got it from my brother, now after checking it has g935p !! means sprint !!! (but still in soft info saying international
but in download mode saying g935p
- i dont know what the local shop did, but fyi its still the same phone ( i guess hechanged motherboard or something)
- i rooted this device by following this thread : https://forum.xda-developers.com/ve...updated-02-t4048237/post81894809#post81894809
- rooted successfully, but got some lag, and i did a factory reset to make it much better
- after factory reset, while chking supersu saying that binary occupied (doesnt matter )
- going back to check bootloader version in system info, its mentioned it is 1 (from basband version) it was 5 before root and factory reset
my question, how its possible after root and factory reset the bootloader version goes to 1 after being 5 ?? and can i root it easily without boot eng which make the device laggy ?? please help

Use super su, and un-root your phone with the option for un-root. Or just flash stock rom that's match your model.
I apologize but I have tried to give supersu superuser status although supersu would have those permissions from kingroot, it could not update it's binaries. When I did a full unroot with kingroot, my phone still was not allowed to receive over the air updates via wifi. About flashing a stock Rom I can reroot with kingroot but I cannot locate any stock Rom for this phone. I did a lot of research trying to find one. Can you please advise to as to where to go so that I can locate the stock Rom? Thank you.

Getting the stock firmware
I have searched that particular location and my model is SM-G530AZ and it's not found in that directory. I am at a checkmate. Unless I can use a firmware from one of the Grand Prime phones with a similar model but that to me does not make too much sense... Or maybe it does. But regarding my particular model it doesn't exist (or so it seems. Can one please come up with a solution? Flashing the Rom is the only option at this point so need download stock. Thanx everyone. ?.

Since your model is a dual with lte i guess you can use the 530h firmware. but i'm not sure.
My Model's Definite Firmware
Thank you very much for that info. But its not a definite so I wouldn't go ahead with it. I find it very interesting that for every other model of the Grand Prime there is a definete stock software available for the user. But when it comes to mine there isn't. So if anyone can possibly find it I'll be so happy.

I am facing the same challenge with my G530AZ model aswell. I am not even able to see my Network mode menu to change after realizing my device can not receive 3G signal only Edge. I located this menu after rooting to unlock my phone however it has completely vanished as I may put it. Any news on a compatible stock rom will be appreciated aswell.
Solution for reverting phone fully into stock (SM-G530AZ) & any other Samsung
I wasn't going to let Samsung Customer Service get away with not be able to give me info on how to get the code for emergency recovery mode using Samsung Kies. I got the Samsung Rep to tell me how to get the code in Kies all the time (in emergency recovery mode). Have the usb plugged in first without the phone connected to it. Then hold down the volume down key on your phone when it's OFF and after the volume down key is being held down, connect your phone to the USB while the Samsung Kies program is running. The code should show in Kies after that. Then go to the tools selection in Kies and click on the Recovery Mode option and you follow the further instructions. I didn't try this yet but I will very soon. I wrote this right after I got off the phone from the Samsung Rep. I really hope that this is a true method that works. If yes, cheers to all!
Sorry, can't be so trusting with Customer Service Rep of Samsung
I apologize for my previous post in a way. Well first of all this model SM-G530AZ (my model) isn't compatable with Kies as in that I got a message from Kies saying that. Therefore there was no way for me to know that the holding of the volume down method will generate the code for the emergency software reflash on this model. Finally, if that Rep was able to make that mistake I doubt whether it works for phones that are compatable with Kies.

Any luck on flashing the sm-g530az. I try most of the firmware from sammobile. But no luck. And, sm-g5630az firmware is not in Sam Moblie.
Only solutions I can think of...
Earlier in this forum a member said that you can possibly use the 530h firmware, being that they are basically the same firmware as ours although he said he's not totally sure. If Kies 3 and the newer version of Kies (the name slipped my mind, but the message pops up anytime one installs Kies 3 asking if you want to download it) don't work because a message comes up saying that the phone doesn't support initializing, maybe what that member said is the only possible option for right now. But now I'm thinking that you can do anything to your phone which will be "normal" looking as far as for the things which the customer service reps look for see if the phone was tampered with which voids the warranty, in a repair center they can wipe all from the phone and put stock software. But the issue with that may be that the binaries that are on you phone now may cause your phone to get bricked being that their software uses different binaries. This is when they plug it in by them the phone need to load to 100% and if it stops in middle the phone is bricked. So they told me that there is that risk. If you can fool them into trying to do that flashing process on your phone because they seem to think that the warrantee is intact and it doesn't get bricked, you are good to go (I visited a Samsung repair center and found this out being that I had issues with them). But in your case that may or may not be possible . Good luck.
Your instructions were slightly off. Here's what worked.
1) install KIES 3. DO NOT PLUG IN PHONE
2) go to tools -> firmware upgrade and initialisation in KIES
3) device id = SM-G530AZ ; serial number is under battery
4) allow KIES to download the firmware
5) place phone in ODIN mode/Emergency Download Mode (hold VOL DWN and HOME while powering on ) then plug in phone to computer via USB
6) allow KIES to send image to phone. Have some ice cream and egg rolls and do not touch anything.
7) PROFIT! After the phone restarts, it will take you through initial set up (like when you bought it)
YOU WIN!! Even the Mobile Data is Set-up Already!
All your screwups (soft brick, deletes systemui....) are forgiven. Don't do it again.

did this work on the build g530az of5?
Cricket has not yet made lollipop available to me (I keep checking), so I have not been able to test it.
I have the SM-G530AZ and I'm trying to restore stock using the method you provided but I'm stuck at 8% update/initialization. I've tried everything I can think of to unbrick my phone. Please help!

try again following those directions thoroughly, just worked for me earlier today, make sure you're on a good internet connection, and don't plug in the phone (which will be in download mode) until you absolutely have to. hope all goes well.

Only able to see odin mode (download mode) ..so i did some research and could not find sm-g530az firmware anywhere for download. So i went to cricket they told me my phone is no good i had to get another one. I was furious ..but didnt give up since im pretty mobile phone and computer savvy. I still did some research found this thread and downloaded kies 3 .it did not recognize my phone for connection ..so i downloaded kies 2.6 and kies lite.
It just kept saying connecting ..so i then followed ur steps above and it brought my phone back to life ..crazy how cricket and even samsun themselves did not know what to do as i was on the phone with both of them ..they told me my phone is no longer good ..smh ...anyways thank you sooo much ..saved me about $150.

Note 4 Stock-ROM

Hello Experts
After my Note 4 ( SM-N910F) suffered of a bad disease ( dont know what it was exactly but it didnt wanted to turn on sometimes)
i've came up to the idea of doing a factory reset. This didnt worked.
I just completed installing the original STOCK-ROM.
I just wondered why all my programms werent gone.
ODIN said that is was successful but i tought after installing Stock-ROM, my phone will be like factory resetted ( like when i get it new from the shop).
Does anything went wrong or is this the way it should be ?
My other question is : is it possible to install ANY stock rom of my model or does it have to be exactly the same PDA Code like mine ?
I mean for example when i install the T-Mobile Rom instead of o2 or DBT..
Hope you can help me with my, rather for you uninteresting, question
Sincerely,
bamoas
Nobody can help ?
After flashing the Stock Rom the laggs and freezing continuned, i tried to install a new Launcher ( Nova Launcher) and it worked a bit better
but also had some freezes still.
Today i wanted to turn on my phone ( it just worked fine the evening before) and nothing happened, like its dead or something like that
You can do factory reset in Settings/Backup & Reset.
Or you can flash your official stock rom via PC Odin with option "Nand Erase All". Be sure to backup first any important files in your internal sd card as this will erase everything in there.
You can't flash another model's firmware AFAIK.
can i use sim used in Bangladesh in samsung note 4 korean version SM-N910S? TIA.

O2U Note 4.... Broken?

So this is a bit of an odd situation my friend is having. He bought his Note 4 off eBay over a year ago, and it was (and still is) a rooted mess. And I mean a big mess. Now I'm trying to help him fix it, because he can't update his phone at all whatsoever from 5.1.1. So I send him 6.0.1 firmware for O2U and have him go into Download mode, odin, all that fun stuff. Download mode says SM-N910T. Settings says SM-N910F. Anyway, he tries flashing the firmware via odin, fails, I have him try multiple things (I'm pretty tech savvy when it comes to this type of stuff) but it always failed. Also, "Current Binary" and "System Status" are both custom, and the KNOX counter is 0x1.
So what I'm asking is, how to fix this problem for him? What steps should he take (or should I help him take)? Is this actually a T-Mobile phone from the USA, but rooted to work with O2 sim cards? The hell is going on here?
Thanks for any replies, and all suggestions will be taken seriously and addressed.
Install the Phone INFO Samsung APK by vndnguyen and see what it's written there.
Get the serial number - example: mine is a 910C with serial RF8H70D.... and so on (obviously I can't write it all here)
With this serial number try with Samsung Smart Switch on the PC and see what info you get. Also you have the possibility to get the latest original firmware installed on the phone.
Good luck.

Looks like its an refurbished note 4 original motherboard is N910T and faked with N910F software cuz N910F has more value in Market.
So the bottom line is you have N910T Tmobile note 4 and you have to flash N910T firmware but after flash firmware from odin you have to immediately boot into stock recovery by pressing 3 button combo and do factory reset to get clean fresh opreating system otherwise it will get stuck in a bootloop at samsung logo.
First boot after flash and factory reset can take upto 10 minutes.
You can get firmware from www.sammobiles.com/firmwares
Or from link below for faster download.
https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=890129502657581810
Remember once you flash this latest marshmalow firmware there is no way you can ever downgrade to 5.1.1 again.
Good luck

I also used samsung-firmware.org. I would use sammobile but I only had enough on my card for a 48 hour upgrade.

Got a used Note 4 sm-n910F with wrong firmware installed on it

hello, i just bought a used note 4 (SM-N910F) today.
And when i went into the download mode to install latest stock firmware using Odin, i found that the product name is wrongly listed as SM-N910T3.
Eventhough the phone is shown as N910F on the box and in the settings menu too.
Anyways, i still went ahead and tried to put the latest firmware of n910f into it using odin and i got the error message - emmc write fail aboot.
I then came out of it and tried to factory reset it from the settings menu which then took me to the recovery menu for some reason instead and showed me various options including wipe factory data reset.
And below that i was getting this error message in red that "dm-verity verification failed"
I still went ahead and performed the wipe, during which i got the error message "e failed to mount/preload (no such file or directory".
After that i rebooted the phone and thankfully after waiting for 15+mins it booted up and seemed to have reset the phone.
But now I'm pretty sure the earlier owner messed up n installed the wrong firmware for it besides rooting it (as shown by the knox trip count).
So my question is, how do i install the correct firmware for it?
thanks for any help.. will be greatly appreciated.

Your original model is SM-N910T3 thats Tmobile note 4 usa model not the N910F European model.
Your original.model is shown correct in download mode that's your motherboard model.
Probably its refurbished device with Modified software and box and sticker behind the battery just for looks like N910F international model because N910F has more value in market.
I personally had same experience before as you i bought N910F online and i found it was N910P sprint usa model in download mode.
Dont try to flash any N910F firmware your device may end up hard brick and completly useless
you can flash N910T3 firmware it will flash without errors.

Samsung Galaxy S8 (SM-G950N) - stuck in Factory Binary

Hi guys
So I recently (4 months ago) bought a secondhand Samsung Galaxy S8 device (SM-G950N) . The phone was simlocked to Korean Telecom KTC (probably because it was bought in Korea I would assume), I wanted to factory reset the phone, so that I could use it for myself. It then asked me for Google info and such, which I wasn't provided with when I bought the phone (Stupid me!) So I searched Google for a way to bypass Google Frp, which lead me to a YouTube video with positive comments and tons of likes. It wanted me to flash something called 'Factory Binary' (it looks like a testing tool for developers) onto my phone through Odin, so that I could enable USB debugging. And everything went smooth, until I had to flash a firmware appropriate for my phone. I was lead to SamMobile to get the firmware update for my model, but sadly there wasn't any PDA for my device specifically (SM-G950NKOU2ARH1). I was supposed to flash a firmware to my phone, so that I could "Enable OEM Unlocking" (which I probably should've done before resetting the phone - now, I understand why people on forums always mention to enable Oem beforehand) and then resetting the phone 100%, but now I'm stuck with Factory Binary, OEM Unlocking disabled and no way of flashing any recovery or firmware to my phone without the 'FRP verification locked' message in Odin.
I've tried TWRP flashing (Recovery Image) but can't process with OEM unlocking disabled.
I created an account in here, in hope for some help with my problem.
Sorry for my English!
Best regards,
Krayzieridah
G955N bricked in factory binary always.. Please help..
