I can not get my power button or my call button to work on this HD2 I have been working on. Initally the phone had a bad motherboard but I am pretty sure the power button still worked on that motherboard. I switched the motherboard out with one that I knew worked but then at least the power button didn't work. I got the phone to turn on and operate so I did a factory reset and it will turn on fine now. But the power button and the call button don't work. I looked at the hardware again and saw that the ribbon cable to the buttons was ripped a little so I replaced that and still the two buttons don't work. I don't know where to go from here. The buttons do press down and click like the other buttons and I have made sure the buttons are lined up right.

I have sort of similar problem where my screen also stops responding after a few minutes of powering on.
Hi hoping someone can help me. I have tried to repair my Hd2 by changing the LCD and digitiser all in one, volume flex and the main button flex, obviously the phone has been completely dismantled.
I have changed the screen once before without too many problems. I finished and put it all back together, screen works a treat, but none of the buttons work. When I put in the battery in, the phone starts automatically (without pressing the power button, which isn't right) and boots to Magldr but none of the buttons work, none of the main buttons or the volume up or down works. Any ideas?
Have heard sometimes after changing some of the button flexes that the main board doesn't recognise them.

I ve recently bought a broken screen G900F ,an galaxy s5.After i repaired the screen i switched it on to see there s a pattern lock.once i tried to put it to download mode to reset it,screen comes up with push volume up to get into download mode but volume up button doesnt work.I think volume down button is stuck thats why it doesnt work.when i switch the phone on its always on safe mode which indicates volume down button is stuck? i even have replaced the volume flex but didnt help...
is there any other way i can get this phone restored or volume button sorted?any help will appreciated...
thanks for your help
Sounds like you need Something like http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Back-Hous...K_Replacement_Parts_Tools&hash=item43cae3361a
You could try using some alcohol to clean the inside of the volume buttons, in case an dirt got in there, since, I'm presuming, the phone was dropped, hence the broken screen.
i have manage to locate a i9100 jig to put it on download mode for now.but still have to get the volume sorted somehow.
thanks for your help
A JTAG jig will put you into download mode.
For a malfunctioning volume switch, check to see if the part is stuck, bent or dirty.
If you can't restore operation, then replace it.
It's not clear if the parts are available separately. They appear to be included with the rear frame.

Hiya!
The phone seems working properly except the LCD screen is black.
When I press the volume button I hear the beep noise and can receive calls.
If I put the USB cable windows does not recognize it. I see a device named 3 cdc-acm 4 cdc-ncm.
I have another S4 works great with the same PC so it is not a driver issue.
Can I fix that phone? DO you think it is hardware or software issue?
thanks
Volume down + home button + power button does not work
I dropped my beloved Mi9T today and the power button is now jammed in & unusable.
Before I take it apart to try & fix I wanted to check whether the "Hold down the volume down key and connect your phone via USB cable to your PC" trick works to power on our phones.
If someone could confirm either way that would be super helpful.
