How to instal, where to find a battery driver? it woul really help me if it works like that guy said:
[...] my battery life seems to have increased dramatically. For instance, I had the phone on charge all day Thursday, received and made a few calls Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday without charging, then checked the charge on Tuesday and I still had not far under 1/2 charge. Previously I've had the phone whimpering at me at less time than that off charge with much the same usage.

I have just got a new battery from HongKong for my HD.
It is 1500 mAh and they claim 50-80% longer use after 2 or 3 charge cycles.
it is an X level High Capacity made by Momax, a very large company making batteries for many companies. Comes in full retail blister pack and is specific for the HD. I have used a normal Momax before but not the X Level, will report after a few days use.
Cost me USD $20 from Ebay about £13. ordered on 21st December and arrived today. Ebay seller is eshopmomax. their web site is www.shop.momax.net, included was a discount voucher for HKD $17 off my next purchase before Dec 2009..
oooh, sounds nice! Will eagerly look forward to your next post on this.
I wonder how much they pay for advertisement on this forums

Sorry but you will not get anywhere neat 50% improvement. At most you will get about 12% improvement going from 1350 to 1500. Claiming that the capacity will increase from 1500 to over 2000mah in several charges is very odd. Why not advertise it as a 2000mah battery - simply because it cant.

You don't need to apologize, friend. Keep telling us about your experience with this battery. I'm interested.
Thank you for your information. Dont bother with some people who made perhaps bad experience.
Really interesting site, interesting stuff and amazing shipping costs.
I'm insterrested too to know if there is really a difference. I'm a very big user of the PDA and my battery is empty in 10 hours
Yep,
Here too. I have to re-charge every evening/night.
Momax just got a new customer...
I'm interested too in knowing the performance of the high capacity battery after say 1 month. I ordered an after market one before but it became useless quite quickly. So this time, I ordered two original battery manufactured by HTC. I have the spare with me so that I need not stinge in the usage.
Interested as well... because after a month somehow my normal battery lasts somewhat more than half a day, even with medium-low phone usage (no Bt, wifi or data)
So, if this is the standard of the proper HTC battery, i'm more than interested maybe in a better quality and even aftermarket higher capacity battery.
Keep us posted on your experience (shipping, battery life etc...)
Update: Just ordered a battery, charger and silicon case for <40 Euro inc. shipping... might as well try myself
Every night?????
It sounds me terrific.
Me, in your shoes, should review my connection settings. Possibly, someone is connecting unceasingly and draining your battery.
Three days ago, I travel Pamplona to Malaga (near 1000 Km.), using GPS, phone, mp3, ebook reading, data connecting...
Yesterday I have returned, and, yes, I must to re-charging (7 %). Two complete days of intense use.
Think deeply who's eating your power, mate.
Regards.
Nacho Garcia.
I too seem to be able to get two days of intense usage before battery runs out. HD really surprised me with its incredibly long battery life. I might not have bought the extra battery had I known that the battery is that good. However, with the extra battery, I start forming the habbit of letting it run to warning level before charging in order to prolong its life, and I carry the spare when I see that the remaining level is getting low.

With my standard battery I would take it off charge and with moderate use (2 or 3 calls and check emails every hour by the time I got home after 8 hours battery was on about 20-25% so had to charge every night. Put in the new battery about 10am Yesterday, again low/moderate use when I went to bed at 11pm it was on 30%. By the time I got up this morning it was flat. Dont know what is draining the power.....
just bought one from momax yesterday and paid via paypal, it´s already on the way, I´ve been mailed a tracking number. Very quick service
Among others, both wifi and dataconnections will sap power, but you might just have a bad battery. Using the tweaks found on this forum (read the wiki) there's an option to release the dataconnection if unused (just like the standard wifi option) which might help. Perhaps you could buy one of these high capacity ones seeing as they're not expensive (otherwise you wouldn't have the HD ) and see if it makes a difference?
I live in HK and I bought mine Momex weeks ago, however, it's slightly bigger than the original and the battery cover was popped out a little bit around the volume button..didn't use that thereafter.... just thinking to buy a spare original one when it comes out in HK.

For those of you who have received your Galaxy S6 Edge already, congratulations I wish I was one of you ☺
Please report how your battery life (so far) is. I know it's a small sample but I'd like to know about.
Thanks
As far as i got to know, the battery life of Samsung Galaxy S6 is quite good and is having nice longevity. It offers the 2600 maH battery life which is much good from the other smartphone's that's in the market now days. http://cdn4.xda-developers.com/images/icons/icon14.gif
Got mine Saturday played a ton with it that day. Sunday was much of the same. The battery was so so. By no means will I ever rate a battery week one.
Today was more of a normal day and I was pleased with the battery life. It is difficult to say how it will be. I'm coming from a Note 4 so making comparisons isn't fair.

This is the only reason why I might skip the edge. I currently have Z3 and it is just so much joy to never be worried about battery life. I don't even check what is the SOT anymore since I know that no matter what I do with the phone it will last the whole day.
However S6 edge just looks so gorgeous and my blocky Z3 starting to look so last season..

Well, if you think like this, you can never buy a new phone. There would be many downsides of Note 5 and an that point you will think of S7.

I agree with Andy. The Z3's battery life was the stuff of legends compared to the crap life of just about every other smartphone out there. I miss mine too sometimes but honestly, I'm rarely without power so a quick charge is a reasonable tradeoff.
Battery life, like mentioned is so so. It's better than my last phone, but definitely not up to z3 standard.

For playing games and youtube this is quite good! Let us see your stats later. Maybe at 50%, screen on time and usage details like above. You're the first to give real details. Thanks
Anybody else getting abnormal amount of "Cell Standby" drain? For reference, I am also on Wifi Calling. This cell standby battery usage is usually higher than screen on time.
My cell standby is 1% and I've been using the phone since 9am.
I have WiFi calling off and power save mode off. Tomorrow I will test it with power save mode on. Right now I'm sitting at 61 after 1hr of hulu. I did some textimg ,phone call and a few videos on ign also. . Next update will have pics and details
Same here. Cell standby is killing my battery. Factory reset may help?

Did you all do the update?
I havent seen one yet (battery stats thread), and it's probably one of the top important features of a phone.
Heres what I've found so far: Edit: Will update tomorrow with better results.
Please be sure to include:
-Battery graph screenshot
-Screen on time screenshot
-Detailed battery screenshot (the one with signal strength)
Also throw in whether or not you use google now, you location settings (battery saving/device only/high accuracy) and anything else you did or didn't do to get your battery life results.
You should put thumbnails anyway... the images are too big
I'd like to see usage stats for a full day of true mobile use (i.e. no WiFi) on LTE. I get the impression that it will be better than my Nexus 6 but would love to see evidence of that.

I think the best test without actually having the phone yet is to compare the battery life of the Nexus 5X to the original Nexus 5 of 2013 under the same test conditions.
The Ars Technica test showed the Nexus 5 getting 400 minutes and the Nexus 5X getting 548 minutes using the same test. That is a 37% improvement of the Nexus 5X compared to the Nexus 5.
The Phone Arena test showed the Nexus 5 getting 4 hr 50 min and the Nexus 5X getting 6 hr 25 min using the same test. That is a 33% improvement of the Nexus 5X compared to the Nexus 5.

Based on those comparisons I'd expect the Nexus 5X to get about 35% better battery life compared to the Nexus 5 during actual usage. When I first got my Nexus 5 I was getting just barely 4 hours screen on time. At a 35% increase the Nexus 5X should get like 5.5 hours screen on time.
I can live with that. Plus, stand by time should be improved with Doze.
My Nexus 5X is coming late next week. I'll just have to wait and see how it goes.

Personal experience, I'm very disappointed with the battery life, having used my new Nexus 5X for a couple of days. Today, I used it from about 10am and it was down to about 19% by 4pm. I charged it for maybe 20 minutes and it was back up to over 50% - admittedly a fast recovery. But I just realised (about half past midnight) it has quietly died sitting next to me while I watched Netflix. As in, it's now off. What phone does that? "Doze" my ass!
I didn't think that a Nexus phone could realistically be this flawed when I pre-ordered it. I love everything else about it (except the slippery back that's itching to escape my hand), but I'm starting to feel cheated and I don't think I can get my money back. I wonder if there's any way a software update could help.

You have good service where ever you were at from 10am to 4pm today? Or even while it was down while you were watching Netflix. Cause poor service is going to kill any phone's battery.

Ill be doing the same thing with my Moto X Pure I got a few weeks ago. I really like what I have, but the 5x is tempting as the 5 was such a great device.
Seems good so far. Have only had it 4 hours. Will revisit this thread in a week to better surmise
When the S8 & S8+ were released, Samsung made a fairly bold claim that users would have 95% battery capacity left after a year. Being a current Note 4 user looking to upgrade to either the S8+ or the Note 8, I'm curious whether this claim holds any truth.
Thankfully, there is a great tool called AccuBattery which lets users estimate their remaining battery capacity based on charging data from a few charge & discharge cycles.
If you already have AccuBattery installed, I would love to hear what your estimated capacity is. Please vote in the poll and leave a comment.
If you don't have AccuBattery already, I can really recommend it since it seems to be a fairly accurate way of calculating your battery's remaining capacity.

Mine is at 97% so that's good considering I've had my phone for 7 months now
The health section will give you the estimated capacity, but it needs a few charge & discharge cycles to work it out. In your screenshot it is still blank.
Yes that is pretty impressive! This is all making me feel less concerned about the battery being non-removable.
Mine is at 96% after three charge cycles using the app. The phone is one week old.

This could be due to slight variances in actual battery capacity or slight inaccuracy in AccuBattery's measurements. Hard to know.
After charging 125,972mah I still have 3466mah capacity left.
I do my best to keep the battery in the 30-80 range

It requires quite a few charging cycles to get an "accurate" measurement. I have found that if you keep the app open on the health page the estimated capacity goes up while you watch, so I take the measurements with a grain of salt.
After 5 months of usage.
Had mine since release date and I'm down to 92%. I'm tempted to make Samsung replace the battery tbh!

Haven't checked on my current S8+, but on my first one which I had from April to September, it was at 3430 mAh right before I sold it, which is 98%.
I'm at 88% after 6/7 months... I'm very disappointed about this... In one year my battery will be about 2800mah... If so will use the one year warranty on battery to have a new one...
My S8+ is now at 80% capacity. 8 months old and already lost 20% So much for Samsung’s claim of 5% degrade in a year.
Mine has quadrupled that claim in barley over half of a year
