I'm wanting to return my phone back to stock. Has anyone had experience with this website. So far it's been alot better than sammobile. I've flashed a stock firmware from this website onto my tablet and it has worked fine.
I'm causious with the S8 as its my daily phone and don't want to brick it.
Also, if anything bad happens during the flash process using ODIN is it easy to return back
(I'm guessing ill just have to flash TWRP - This happened on my old S6 and worked fine)
Thanks
EDIT: The website worked fine for me and i was able to download a firmware and flash it correctly. Its much better than sammobile imo.
So, for anyone wondering weather this site is good - its great
Ive tried it now and i got a error message

You are flashing an older version than what is on you phone. You can not downgrade firmware.
For latest firmware you can use samfirm or frija to download firmware.
spawnlives,
Thanks for your feedback. I've manage to flash the stock firmware and it all works fine

I am posting this to help people who ran across the same problem I did the past 24 hours, which drove me crazy and it was quite difficult to find any info on it.
I bought my N9005 on eBay from a Hong Kong seller. I just updated it with Kies and noticed that sammobile.com has a newer MJ8 firmware, so I figured I'd just download it and flash it via Odin.
Kies shows my mobile as XME (Malaysia region), but I guessed it should work just fine, and boy was I wrong.
Moments after trying to flash it, it failed, but it did manage to flash the beginning of the firmware, which was the new MJ bootloader. That newer bootloader does not allow any other firmware with older bootloader be flashed on the phone. Not even Kies's emergency recovery was able to revive my phone which was stuck in emergency download mode.
When trying to flash I got all sorts of errors, such as:
invalid ext4 image
and
CHECK FAIL : fused : 2 , Binary : 1. (when trying to install the older XME Malaysian Firmware on top of the new bootloader)
To make a very long story short, after almost giving up and start waiting for a Malaysian firmware with the new bootloader to be released, I ran across the UK MJ6 BTU rom which does have the new bootloader too and decided to try flashing it. To my amazement - this worked and my phone is back to life! phewwwww!
This is a download link to the BTU MJ6 firmware:

my brick story in short is------ brought note 3 sm-n9005 from ebay from a Hong Kong based seller. pics of ap, cp and csc are attached. rooted with chainfire's and installed cwm6 by chenglu. A few days back, flashed bobcat rom version 2(mj7) and later 3( mk2 ) without problems. Was looking for different themes .yesterday flashed balckchrome from s4 forum that also went smooth. Unfortunatly flashed another theme for s4 which was not meant for andriod version 4.3. Pretty stupid .went into bootloop. Had nandroid backup tried to restore but couldn't.
Flashed another rom mk2 from cwm. again bootloop .took the odin route and flashed stock deodesk mj7 by Djembey from this thread.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2461929
Failed again. Then downloaded latest mk2 from sammobile website. The same error (invalid ext4 img) in short failed on all ccounts. Have run out of options. The last thing in mind is to wait for some new bootloader after mk2 which might rescue me as mentioned in this thread that new bootloaders might help... Any guidance will be appreciated. Thanks
@pyarajaani
Try this:
1) Get X-Note v6 custom rom.
2) Use Odin to install CWM recovery.
3) boot the phone into CWM recovery and copy the X-NOTE rom (MK2 based) to your phone or card.
4) Do a complete wipe/factory-reset from CWM
5) Install the X-NOTE rom from CWM
And let me know how it went

Why did you suggest X-Note but not another ROM?
3 reasons:
- It's MK2 based
- I am using it
- It's excellent
And besides, if the method I suggested works, he can always replace a ROM later on if he wishes.

Nope, I didnt mean what is the best rom to use.
The problem is that how to bypass the bootloop issue.

No need to mess with kernels.
Were u able to install cwm via odin and then boot into cwm?

yes...I did that n installed X note rom from cwm. BUT I suspect that cwm is not fully functional. Why I m saying this is that I have a nandroid backup of bobcat mj7 rom...which cwm isn't able to detect even. ..nevertheless. .cwm is installed.
1) Which CWM version do you have installed?
2) Did you do a full wipe/factory-reset?
3) Did you try also advanced formatting (of system partition together with the full wipe) and then install the ROM?
4) Did you try all the above with the latest TWRP recovery instead of CWM?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2467255
Try to flash this file by cwm first and then flash any rom after you want

Hello everyone,
My device got bricked since I flashed it with Odin yesterday, and now even I re-flash using official firmware, it failed as well……
The model of my phone showing in Samsung official site is G935-P (Sprint version), But that shows on download mode is G935U, maybe the eBay seller had flashed it with G935U firmware…
What version of firmware should I download to recover the OS now? And what could I do to Un-brick my device? Someone who could give me some advice or assistance? Thank you all!
Try Smart Switch. It will automatically download the correct firmware for you.
Hmmmmm what update were you trying to flash in odin and i would check the back of your phone bc it should say exactly what model it is (935x) just to be sure then flash the LASTEST firmware to get yourself up and running then if you want Ufirmware go ahead flash that

Thanks, I've tried Smart switch, but it doesn't work, fortunately, it's resolved by flashing the latest G935U firmware

Hello,
I flashed my factory unlocked Samsung Galaxy S8 with the Verizon carrier firmware awhile back in order to gain some carrier features. Since then I have gotten a new device and want to flash my S8 back to the unlocked firmware. Flashing to the Verizon firmware was uneventful, but trying to flash it back to the factory unlocked XAA U1 firmware always results in a SHA256 Invalid error right after I click Start in Odin. I've tried the Prince Comsy version as suggested on a few threads, but it just gives a failed to write error. I have also tried another firmware version download (from Updato), different versions of Odin, and different PCs.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Anyone?
Still haven’t been able to find a fix for this. Tried with a patched version of Odin to bypass the SHA256 check, but it’s giving me a different error. I’ve attached photos of the exact error messages below. Surely someone here knows something about this?
download latest firmware
its maybe because you are flashing old file with v1 bootloader

Well, you were pretty close. For anyone who is interested, the issue I’ve discovered is that the current Verizon firmware has bootloader v4 on it, and the latest U1 firmware only goes up to bootloader v3. Looks like I’ll just have to wait it out.

Yes, I was getting that error because the unlocked firmware I was trying to flash had an older boot loader than the Verizon firmware that was on the phone. Had to wait until an updated version of the unlocked firmware was uploaded.

I don’t quite remember, I sold that phone soon afterwards. It has something to do with the name of the firmware, I’m sure Google could help you there.
Hello guys I really need your help!
I had a Nougat stock rom on my S7 Edge and when Fortnite was released I installed it but it was so laggy and asked me to update to the new version of android. So I found a custom rom that was perfect was called "Black Pearl" S9 ported to S7
then I opened fortnite but it seemed like the rom was rooted or something fortnite asked me to turn of OEM lock so I did so and since then I got the message " Custom binary blocked by FRP lock.
so now I can't figure what to do, I am installing a stock rom with odin but it keeps saying FAIL! FAIL! everytime maybe it's because of turning off OEM or something.. I don't really know what to do now! HELP!
Help me please!
FRP lock does not block official firmware flashing through odin.
It just prevents custom firmware from being installed.
You have to flash official firmware its the only option, choose the correct region when you are downloading the firmware.
If you don't know what region your original phone firmware was then use samsung smart switch to emergency reset the phone.

I download my official firmware and odin keep saying fail after like half an hour! it doesn't seem to work bro that's why it's not as easy as you think it is I know how to flash the roms and have flashed them before many times but man this time is different idk what to do
It doesn't accept installing any roms even I tried installing twrp.img but it failed? so what's the problem guys help if you can cuz I am broke to buy a new phone right now!
Hey guys, I have a problem and I need your help... Yesterday I flashed via Odin3 UK official stock rom on Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge (Android 8.0)... Everything worked okay, did some updates through the phone... I saw that Samsung Health app doesn’t work because it said that software was modified... So I searched YouTube and found that I need to root the phone... So I downloaded TWRP recovery 3.2.3... I flashed it via Odin3 without any problems... I downloaded custom unofficial Samsung rom (Android 8.0 by Jays)... it works well, Samsung Health app works also... it has latest patch from January 2018... but the phone can’t get official updates via OTA... so I decided to get back to stock official rom from Samsung... I downloaded 3 different roms with different country(Android 8.0) but every I try to flash via Odin3 fail... I don’t know why but I can’t flash it... The binary of phone was firstly custom then it changed after trying to flash to Samsung Official and system says custom... TWRP is missing there now and anything I can do is get to download mode... One important thing which I saw is: RP SWREV (B:3, K:1, S:2)... also when I try to flash the phone says under this: SW REV CHECK FAIL(BOOTLOADER): Device: 3, Binary:2... I tried different AP in Odin3 but still without changes (also saw Kernel fail: Device:1, Binary:0)... I want to get the phone right on official firmware... I hope it’s not bricked... Any tips or help will be appreciated (I read a lot of posts here but nothing help)...
Hi.
You can only flash roms that have the same bootloader version as your phone or higher.*Downgrading is not possible .
Go to Sammobile and search for the latest Firmware of your device ,download and flash it via Odin.
Good luck
Yep, search latest firmware with same binary your binary is B3 and you cannt flash any old firmware like B2 or B1
