Have you opened Shield TV to see if there is header for serial console port? Nvidia Jetson TK1 and TX1 all have serial console port, you may be able to see boot loader messages from serial console.
Factory reset

When this happens, all you have to do is either plug it into a computer or certain android devices via otg cable ( for example: the original Shield). Disconnect the power on the Shield TV. Wait about 10 seconds or so. Plug the power back in. As soon as the light has been on for about 2 seconds, hold down the power button until the bootloader screen comes up. The stupid thing is that even if you don't need to get anything from anywhere else, your Shield TV still has to have another device plugged into it's micro usb port otg style in order to get to bootloader/recovery/forced recovery/factory reset and so on

This is very important hint for bootloader/recovery. I was wondering why I could not get to bootloader anymore when tried to dual boot Android and Linux, I forgot to plug the OTG cable to a PC.
Hello, I bought a tablet that had a broken windows. It just boots up to a screen asking for recovery media. Unfortunately when I plugged in a usb keyboard to access bios I decided to fiddle with the usb settings, and result, now usb devices are not recognized I was trying to find a way to make a usb hub to work in order to have a keyboard attached simultaneously with a usb stick, to install windows.
Now I am stuck with this, since I cant find a way to reset the bios, is there anything that can be done since no key combination will reset this and no reset button exists on this tab?
can anybody help out on this matter or is the device a lost cause? Somehow I can't believe, only things I need is a bios reset and a usb hub that allows me to use a bootable usb stick and keyboard for install?
I try update my nvidia shield tv 2017 but now the System bootloop on Android circles animation (dont start box).
- I try fastboot with Controller but dont work (many, many times)
- I try conect to pc but dont connect device with fastboot
bricked bootloader??
I dont have solutions.... please help.
Sorry my english
Try un plugging the power then plug a USB keyboard in and hold the A and B key and then plug the power back in.
same problem for 3 days, can not enter fastboot mode. my shield is in bootloop
Shot in the dark, but have you tried different USB ports on the computer? I know in my case, some otherwise working ports will not work with the shield. Seems to be very fussy when it comes to which ports I choose. None of my front ports work on this desktop, I have to plug into rear ports in order for my computer and shield to see each other.
Also be sure to use the original cable that came with the shield.
Also make sure USB debugging is on.
Any fix ? Same problem
Have you tried "adb reboot bootloader" in command prompt when the android logo is looping?
I have no Android logo i have no os just twrp and twrp with no access adb and fastboot command dont work on NVIDIA logo
If you put lineage os on a usb stick can twrp read the usb stick? If so, you can install the zip file of lineage with gapps...once that's installed and booted up, you can enable usb debugging in the developers options and fastboot and adb should work again.
Hi all!,
For some reason my shield stopped working, it only boots in safe mode, but no other option in the fastboot seems to work. Tried to plug in the shield to pc with a usb c to usb a cable but it is not showing up in device manager so I can't flash it. It was on stock, nothing was modded before also. Is there anyway to fix the no device on pc? i've tried to different pc and 2 cables, my phone works with those cables, it is only the shield that doesn't connect using the farthest usb from the hdmi.
Hi there all, I have an old Android TV box which when powered up gets to the logo screen but doesn't load/boot, I have tried the reset button but it doesn't take me to the options menu or reboot the system..I have the correct .img file with firmware of the the device and I have tried unsuccessfully to flash it using Amlogic USB Burner via double male USB cable connecting the box and pc..I have also burnt the .Img file with firmware onto and SD card which was then plugged directly into the box..neither method has worked..I have faithfully followed the instructions for both methods and the software for USB burning and SD card burning are Amlogic tools...so fully compatible as the Android Box is Amlogic also...any help would be appreciated.
