QI charging cable capable of transmitting data? - Hardware Hacking General

I would like to cut this ribbon cable on these these aftermarket qi charging pads (https://www.amazon.com/Receiver-Com...words=qi+charging+usb+c&qid=1582063189&sr=8-6) and either solder a usb port for a flash drive or solder it directly to the flash drive itself.. Do you think that will work and the phone will detect it as a storage device?

is simultaneous charge & USB host mode possible?

Has anybody tried this: 1. Setup a powered USB hub plugged into the Micro OTG cable 2. hack the cable from right after the OTG cable to where it plugs into the hub, so that the voltage pins are exposed 3. solder in the voltage pins to a usb connector so you can plug in a normal charger [5V 2A] 4. check to see if you can use the USB hub and charge at the same time
I currently have a Asus transformer TF101 and the primary use is watching clips off a 500GB usb HDD. I really, really want to get a N7 and sell my TF101, but if charging & simultaneous host mode is not possible, I would be slightly hesitant to buy it, because I would be eating up the battery much faster than I would like.

[Q] USB flex cable? help me please

So I plugged in my phone to a car charger and next thing you know I try plugging it in to my PC my TV and neither will recognize it. I'm guessing. The car charger fried something in my USB port flex cable. So before I go and buy a new flex cable I wanted to know if its something within the flex cable that burned out and thus won't allow the data pins to correctly connect... What do you guys think

[Q] any idea to add wireless charging for D802??

i have done some research on Qi inductive charging so far. now there's a wireless charging receiver on ebay which we can use by pluging the coil connector to USB port. i wonder if we could soldier the receiver connector to the usb connector inside the phone.

Put SSD inside SATV and connect through USB

Hello,
I'm thinking on buying an SSD or mSATA SSD to use as adoptive storage, putting it inside my SATV 16GB and somehow pass an USB cable from the inside to the outside to connect it through USB, this way the SSD would stay inside the SATV and I don't have to worry about carrying it around.
Anyone have any ideas on how to pass the USB cable from the inside to the outside of the Shield without drilling any holes in the chassis? The idea would be to site the SSD on the place the PRO have the HDD and connect it through USB.
Did someone attempt this? Smile
Thanks!
You could do that, but I think the only viable solution would be to strip down the connecting usb cable, and solder wire directly in the usb plugs on the SATV.
You could probably do it from the inside. You can finde some teardown pictures of the SATV here:

To see the connectors in the USB cable, you could use a site like this:

I don't know the points to solder the cable and I'm afraid I can damage the port.

Charging Cable broken

The pins inside my data cable are broken and I want to buy a new data cable but I don't know which one to pick. I have http://m.banggood.com/REMAX-Alien-100CM-2_1A-Flat-Noodle-Style-Micro-USB-Charger-Date-Cable-for-Cellphone-p-996648.html[/URL] this cable which supports output upto 2.1 Amp. Will it provide the same power as original data cable? If not then suggest some good data cables without adapter. My adapter is working fine. I have S7 Edge.
