Well I got lineageos gsi to work with this tablet by a little googling. I don't know if it's because @Magendanz update his twrp build it whatever but it works. This couldn't have been possible for his hard work on this device!!
I'll post a tutorial later. I haven't tried any other gsis right now but I got opengapps to work as well.
Bugs I have noticed so far:
-mtp doesn't work but debugging does
-a little laggy but could probably be fixed via kernel tweak

I tried Liniage 17 on my SM T580s and it lasted about a couple hours before I yanked it off. Could it, (Liniage 17) just be full of bugs because it seems widespread with that software? And are we not going to get an OTA Update to Android version 10?

I'm pretty sure these bugs are mostly gsi related but yes we are going to get Android 10 in q3 or q4 of this year unless Samsung has a beta program for the tabs

Just flash the factory image and be done with it. Stock is pretty good.

Its not the ROM that sucks, It's Open Delta that sucks.
This is a common problem with open delta.
You will find the update located in: sdcard/open delta
Just reboot to TWRP and flash the update from sdcard/open delta in TWRP.
Best of luck
You are probably using Omnirom. 1. Omnirom has not released an official lollipop build till now so you are probably using an unofficial build
2. Opendelta won't work for unofficial builds.
I came here to share with you this mod which, I believe, many seek.
I think it was created by the developer of this forum (http://goo.gl/n4kNIj). If possible, run there and thank.
Tested with Pure White Stock 5.1, all went well. I had problems with the mods of the Cataclysm 5.1 Stable.
If possible some good soul solve the problem with the Cataclysm, I appreciate a lot.
Flash with latest TWRP.
Use at your own risk, I am not taking any responsibility for their losses.

It worked...
But the text is a bit too large
So how I do I undo it ?
Try the attached patch.
Have you tested on which Rom? Knows how to solve the problem with the Cataclysm?
Will it work with Cata?
Cause problems in Cataclysm. Have not tried restoring with the patch, I performed a clean installation.
I'm hoping someone with a lot of goodwill can solve the problems with the Cataclysm.
Ur just sharing this, didn't actually make it right? If you actually made this mode, would you mind making another one for the latest Cataclysm April 14 build? Thanks in advance!
Does it work with Boostpop rom?
Hi, im going straight to the point.
InvisibleK updated and uploaded his device tree, vendor and kernel on github for the Verizon G Pad 8.3 LTE Table aka VK810.4G and i just build the rom against his work.
So far so good, rom is kinda "functional"
Wifi works
Bluetooth works
There are some graphics glitches, gps, sensors and telephony doesnt work yet TM.

I took the firmware here. https://updater.invisiblek.org/vk810
I got mine to Android 9... VK810
[VK810] InvisibleK's Lineage 14.1 ROM for the VK810 Verizon GPad 8.3
Hello all, I have recently run across InvisibleK's ROM for the VK810, with LineageOS 14.1! This is my first post after years of lurking XDA, and thought to make a thread here since this is not mentioned anywhere. It appears to function normally...
forum.xda-developers.com
How to install it? I always stuck at LG logo after installing.
I mean, something is wrong... I tried to flash LineageOS + gapps and it didn't install nothing from Google even though I have flashed gapps package normally (as I always do)... It's like I was flashing only LineageOS...
I noticed something pretty interesting in their website today. It says:

This message wasn't there some weeks ago... What changed? Is because of this I'm unable to use Google apps? At first, I thought it was something related to LineageOS, but all other roms I have tested do not install gapps (it doesn't show any errors while flashing through twrp). I always used nano package.
To solve the issue I needed to download an old version of gapps from July to be able to install gapps normally. Is it happening to you guys as well? I'm still confused.
I got a bootloop when flashing LOS on my Nexus 6 with the newest Open Gapps. Had to use a older version to get LOS installed.
Hi
I have the same problem with lineageos 16 and open Gapps (arms 9 nano and mini) on a A3 2016 sm-310f.
Lineageos is ok.
Have you an idea to resolve the problem ?
Thanks
Hello everyone,
since this awesome Tablet isn't getting Updates anymore I tried to build my own Android Version (10) with help of the AOSP Documentary.
Everything works smooth and fine, but when I try to flash this freshly created build, I get an error:
"Device product is 'baytrail'.
Update requires 'goldfish_arm64'."

I tried resolving the problem by getting to know what exactly is goldfish in the first place. So I found, that the 'goldfish' is in the Android Kernel for 4.x versions. I simply just don't understand why the bootloader is attatched to a specific android version. Strange.
Additionally, Lenovo Support gives the whole Open Source .zip for both Lollipop and Kitkat versions, so I have full build .zips of the "old" versions.
Is maybe the boot.img file the problem? I extracted it from Lollipop.
Any help will be appreciated.
Same issue.
I think you need to edit the upadte-script.
Hello. Could you please share your previous build that worked? Will it work on the Tab 2 - 8 inches?
