Thank you for building this ROM.
What version of Bitobession's kernel did you use?
Do I need to flash a dtb file to reset battery charging? I currently use KX10-003 and I have flashed the corresponding dtb.
Can you start a thread in the development forum for your ROM please?

Hi
I used the android_kernel_nvidia_shieldtablet-rel-24-uda-r1.4-upstream but needed to get some files from the stock lineage kernel cause Rom didnt boot
Dtb is only needed when you got problems with Akku charging i didnt need to flash them.
Problem is i cant post in developer Area cause of the Spam Rules form XDA

Is this a good rom for running dolphin emulator on the shield tablet? Would like to play GameCube and possibly Wii games on my tablet. Currently the updated dolphin ROMs do not run on stock due to the outdated Android os.

Hi
Sorry to say but Dolphin didnt support the Shieldtablet anymore since they switched to 64Bit
Core there are some older Dolphin builds that work for Shieldtablet but Speed is horrible and most Games dont run .
Greats Triodexe

I have tried your latest 4.8 ROM on my original nvidia shield tablet.
Full wipe and flash results in an endless boot loop.
Full wipe, flash and KX10-003 kernel will boot however brightness setting does not seem to stick between boots.
Thanks for building this ROM.

Hi
Did you flashed Magisk for Root?
I Have currently same problem with latest Version20.3 sometimes random Bootloops but it mostly Boots after 2-3 tries.
Guess i will go back to Stock Lineage Kernel and tweak the Governours/Shedulers inside there.
Btw working on F2fs to,But building Rom with F2fs enabled and changed Fstab didnt build the Rom.

Yes, I clean flashed ROM and flashed Magisk but got a bootloop.
I have your ROM working with KX10-003 kernel so that is good.
So far everything seems to work well.
I have had the tablet lock twice since I started testing but it has not been a problem to the point of irritation.

i only get random bootloop with the 5.8 Roms the 4.6Roms have no Problems.
Sideeffect of this trys i got CpuQuiet working again Cores shutdown now correctly on the 5.8 Roms .
The 4.6 Roms still not shutdown the Cores.
Hope i got the new Versions out soon.

Thank you for your work on this ROM. AEX has been my favourite ROM for a long time.
I won't try 5.8 as want hardware acceleration for video playback, so I'll stick to 4.6.
Does the 4.6 version contain security fixes for WiFi exploits like KRACK?

More information coming on..
Why you are not porting the Lollipop ROMs from u8860 ?!?!
Because they do not work. Why? Because ROM is made in a way that do not support u8800pro.
Sound quality in CM/MK/BeanStalk/BlueLighting?
Sound quality/volume is same in all roms. Quality is good and in call volume is okay.
Do you test these roms?
I test the Cyanogenmod and MokeeOS builds and I'm trying to test them immediately after desalesouche uploads them. Currently I'm not planning to test other roms.
Do you test the rom with dalvik or art?
So far I have been tested the roms with dalvik only.
Which rom is the best?
There is no answer for that. Personally I prefer CM roms and sometimes MK. Test different roms and use that what do you think is the "best" one and suitable for you needs.
Multi-tasking?
Difference's. The more you have apps installed the more laggier your phone gets.. You need to test which rom suits your needs the best.
Bluetooth? Does it work?
Should be ok, send a message if not. When you enable bluetooth, device name is "Huawei Honor" instead of Pro. I can't affect that device name when I do these ports.

I do not remember there were any minor bugs. But 44.3 is stabler, 44.4 is sometimes slower and not so good in daily use compared to 44.3. That is my opinion.

App to External SD card
Hi!
I tried Beanstalk.
It seems a very good rom. But i got a trouble. I cannot move apps to external sd card.
Since i go very huge-memory-eater apps i spent the internal memory right away.
Can anyone give some help?
Thanks in advance
I've tried all versions of des's roms. Even though I appreciate his work and devotion, those roms are NOT stable enough for daily use on pro.
Personally speaking, the best rom for pro right now is CM11 by CrysisLTU. I know it can be cool to have some of the neat features of des's roms, but they simply aren't optimized for our device (even though honor and pro are almost identical).
So, my advice is go for CM11 by CrysisLTU if you plan on doing some multitasking (eg Music & Browsing).

I disagree, I have used CM11 build 20140621 for a month now as a daily driver. It's stable, it's not laggy or sluggish and everything works. But some of the builds is not stable and the performance is poor so they cannot be used as daily driver, like CM11 build 20140701 seemed to be sluggish when I tested it. I have not tested some heavy multitasking or playing high-end games (if you do not count 2048 ) with these roms.
I should test CrysisLTU rom some time..
Thank you very much!

yes VGchat you are 'in', have PM'd you and I will get you instructions and a dropbox link to download later tonight.
I should also say that this rom is basically CM13 with RR built on top and is a stable as CM13 currently is on N5110 (that is VERY stable).
So far I just got it installed. I notice it's still CM warm, it's a tad toasty compared to CivZ rom I had on previously and compared to other CM13 roms for this device, the heat trend continues on the underside. Which cpu governer would work best with this tablet for battery life/performance/stability?
Youtube seems to run perfectly.
Stylus support is detecting and interacting with the Stylus just fine.
There is a faint bit of static feedback now & then from Bejeweled Stars but it plays better than it did on CivZ rom. Less laggy.
Overall the UI is pretty fast & smooth.
There doesn't seem to be any GPS issues. One Weather can find my location just fine.
I'm not sure how demanding a game this one is but Giant Boulder of Death pushes this tablet to it's limits almost. Noticeable input lag sometimes and music lag is definitely noticeable.
There is a issue with video recording. It will not do it, instead it spits out an error about it as you mentioned in your PM. However it can take pictures.
Thanks VGchat for your comments.
Video recording not working comes from CM13 I'm sure. Everything else sounds pretty good.
Unkilled runs pretty well in game for me, though cutscenes are a little stuttery.
The heat issue I'm hoping is just from initial setup, cataloguing media files etc. and will have settled in a couple of days.
I don't know what governor would be recommended, it seems to use pegasusq by default.
I will try Boeffla kernel over the weekend, which should work as it does with equivalent CM13.
I'll look to making a release thread at the start of next week, if anyone wants it before just PM me.
Maybe you'll be able to fix the camera issue with this thread, GL.

N5100 version
I have also made an N5100 version and passed to A_sh_ to see if it runs...
I have also confirmed by restoring my backup that the video problem originates in CM13.
If you need a N5100 tester you can count me in. Running RR on my bacon
So long as you keep Boeffla seperate from the rom, I'll be fine with that. I never did care much for Boeffla Kernel on my Note 8. (I tried it on the civz rom and the other popular cm13 rom, with less then impressive results). I think the Kernel Adiutor is working pretty good for this rom.

You mean when N / CM14 comes about?
Depends on what RR team do and whether an official / unofficial CM14 is made for Note 8.0 or whether MM is the end of the line...
I'm sure RR will continue with N as they have been going since ICS.
If I still have the tablet, want to keep updating it and am able to continue, then I will.
N5120
Wot no N5120 requests yet???
I have an N5120 build also sitting waiting on AFH for a beta tester to come along and gobble it up..

It would be great if you update it to N, but I was simply talking about CM 13,when new nightly are released.
Ah! I initially thought you meant nightlies then thought nah, gotta be N you're enquiring about...
Yes to nightlies - the beta testers have had 2 nightlies so far.
I can usually find time to make 2 builds per night every couple of nights. Builds take my laptop around an hour each (8 core i7..).
Current builds with testers, which will hopefully be released, were synced at about 7pm uk time on the 20th and include all CM changes up to "you are now a developer" which I felt was the ideal point to call it a release ????
https://www.cmxlog.com/13/n5110
If you want access now just follow me on android file host and I will add you to the beta group.
Thanks for your answer. Of course I didn't think you could update the Rom every CM nightly, I was just wondering if it's easy for you to update sometimes without having to work too much. I can't be a beta tester at the moment, but I'm thinking of trying a new Rom sooner or later: I'm still using a kitkat firmware and, after some years, I feel a little bored
You don't grab specifically by nightlies, just the latest on what is there for both CM and RR. To grab and make a new build it is just 3 command line commands. Once you are setup it is very easy.

[MOST ROMs]DaysPowerOneHour [TE]

Hello there,
Due to some Thermal and Kernel limitations charging on some of the roms are slower than it is supposed to be. Did a workaround and edited the Thermal engine to get the almost MAXIMUM current the rom/kernel can get.
DaysPowerOneHour,
At the average of 1.7A/H it will take 109 min or 1H49M to charge your device fully(the current measurement was taken while screen was on, if the screen goes off the current can reach up to 1.9A in some ROMs). Means in 1 Hour it will charge 0-60+%, for most of the users that enough for a Day of use.
All you have to do is download the correct zip attached and flash it through recovery, no wipes needed.
Note: do give it max of 2 reboots and replug the charger to see changes.
**flashing on some AOSP ROMs may result in bootloop, in such case flash the iDarko version **
**flash at your own risk**
**don't complain me that your bacon got fried**LaL
**Do Use The THANKS button**

N by updating.
Darkobas by intense07 (must work on official too)
##SEEMS ITS NOT WORKING ON MOST ROMS,TESTED BY MANY USERS AND MYSELF, BUT IT DOES WORK ON DU AND H²OS##

And when the display is off, it cranks it up to 1.8-2A (again, as supposed)
PS- Try clean installing the build after 20160903 as the OP changed the charging level after that, listening to all of us.

[ROM]CyanogenMod 14.1 jgcaap builds

Hello everyone, after a great success on building roms for bacon device. I've decided to share my work with other devices. So now I share with oneplus 3. After positive feedback on the rom today I'll publish here the rom.
Kernel and Device tree are untouched so everything should be working smoothly. You can use a custom kernel in case you like, but i'll only give support to stock kernel as I do not yet own an device. So CM bugs are basically also our bugs, and from what I know there is none. Still I'm open to suggestions.
Download
GAPPS
Features:
Updated SQL to 3.15.1
Optimized Build with custom toolchain on ROM and Kernel
Proguard 5.3
Snapdragon Camera
More coming soon
I'm a very praticle user, and my aim will be to get a very fluid stable system, at same time with speed and battery, keeping most stock possible with the optimizations which will improve for real our experience.
Thanks

As you might know, all credits go to CyanogenMod Team.

Thank you very much man 5 stars from me.
@jgcaap
Is there f2fs support in the kernel?
And have considered adding any of @arter97 fixes and improvements from his cm13 kernel
Thanks for your work

Plz dont quote the whole thread
Loved your builds on oneplus one when I was using it for month.
I will try soon.
Between stock cm from 13 till now, having strange bug fp scanner, sometimes fp sensor stop working, we need manually turn on screen.
If same happens, I will report back.
Also same was in stock cm13 but not happening in @Sultanxda rom.
also, this is not happening in aosp based roms, so its deep in cm.
.
thanks,
Jgcaap has always been my inspiration , and one of the reasons I optimize my ROMs heavily . Gonna surely give this a try , bud
Hey its good to see
flashed it yeah
ROM Flashing steps please..
Opengapps should be OK? The Gapps link in AFH in the OP post #1 doesn't seem to be a valid link.
Also FW version recommended? 3.5.5?

Original CM 14.1 is 586.22 MB why yours is 673.1 MB, instead of slimming it; what have you added?

@jgcaap : as mentioned earlier, there is same but in your rom also.
Fingerprint sensor stops working some time, need to wake screen manually.
Also, torch gesture not working.
Please fix these issues.
Nothing happen when switching profiles by built-in button. Any idea how to fix that? I trying to change in settings few options but without solution.
Used your ROMs on the OPO.
Everything working great for now apart from the known CM bugs. FPS fails sometimes and alert slider not working?

Use notification slider APP from playstore, as a tempory workaround
Mine is working. After few reboot, it was alive.
So for now, the only bug is cm bug I think ( battery icon cannot be changed )

Installing now, and will dig into it once I get home from taking the kids to school!
Ok, so far it's running great. I haven't gotten to really dig deep into it like I planned due to a busy day, but I did learn that YouTube still runs like trash. I honestly think it's the app, not the ROM, since it has been this way across several ROMs, and more than a couple devices. I found a little bit of screen flicker when plugged in and in landscape view. This cleared up immediately by disabling ambient display (which I don't think is even usable on the nooks anyway). Other than this, I have nothing to report, all is working as desired!

Did you know that the person that make marsh, lolli, n, etc for the nooks, is making aosp 8.0 for HD and HD+?
I found sources on his GitHub, https://github.com/airend/android/tree/tmp/oreo.

Ahh, good old amaces. He's been at it for a long time too! I bounce around ROMs from time to time depending on what I want to use my Ovation for. His ROMs are pretty solid and stable too, but I wanted to give old-school KK a try again. I've alwayse liked the split-screen menu layout it used over the newer versions too.

I used to have a working Hummingbird, but it's got a bad battery, and I haven't replaced it yet, so I'm not quite as versed on it as the Ovation anymore. I do know that he's got a following of people that test on the Hummingbird since he doesn't have one himself, and aside for trivial things like the boot screen's orientation being upside down, his' ROMs are known for being quite stable. I remember my Hummingbird feeling faster then my Ovation, but that's also due to the GPU not being taxed as hard as it is on that 1080p display. I remember I had MANY hours of use in on that Hummingbird with his ROMs at the hands of my kids. So much use the battery wore out. Never had any issues with it on the software side that I remember. Now you have me wondering if I can mod mine to fit an ovation-ish battery into it for longer life...

I haven't tried, or heard of before now, unlegacy on my ovation. So far, your ROM is a very well done re-release of CM11. As for the other, newer ROMs on Ovation, yes, they run quite well. I've only tried amaces' ROMs, and he put a lot of hours, and software tweaking magic into getting it to runt he way it does. I'm going to try this new stuff tonight I think. Just to see what it's about.
Update: I can't get Un-Legacy to boot, so I would say it's not as stable as hoped

Strange, I used it for the first time on hummingbird, and it boots.
Yea same, I only used CM and @amaces ROMs.
I can't wait to try Android Oreo on Nook HD, and if it ever comes out for the Galaxy Tab 2.

Sorry, did you flash the LineageOS 11 (4.4.4) ROM or the 7.1.2 one also mentioned in this post? My previous experience with anything newer than KitKat on this device was that performance was too slow. I'm back on CM 11 at the moment but would be tempted to flash a newer ROM.

I flashed the recommended 7.1.2 and seems to work great for my use. I use it mostly as a media player in my shop. for google music, tunein, iHeart, and HDHomeRun, but HD HOMErun stops streaming after 30 seconds, must be due to 512meg memory on the system. But Plex works with out an issue.
Its connected to a car radio in my shop and works great and responsive. I do leave it plugged in beacuse its always in the same spot.
Thanks again, if I start having any issue,' ill let you know.

I do have both a hummingbird and Ovation - both on the old 4.4.4 ROMs as anything newer had too much lag. Which ROM exactly are you trying to install and what recovery version are you on? I seem to remember that the 4.x ROMs needed the old recovery to install.

It gives me an error for all recoveries. Can you make a TWRP backup of hummingbird factory re-set LineageOS 11, and send me it? CM official givers errors and LineageOS 11.
