having device shortly, not sure if i keep. At least I didn't return after 1 day like Xperia 5ii.
nice device standing out of the crowd of exactly same looking phones. Some tough spec omissions, where to start
big battery and fast charging
sd card
high freq display
recent camera (this one is on par with S10 at best)
s-pen (i believe pen has to be added to Flip/Fold in future)
stereo speakers
of little priority
usb3.2 instead of 3.1.. wait, it's 3.1 written on gsmarena, but it's just USB2!
ufs3.1 instead of 3.0
no aptxHD
wifi6 (on 5G version)
Damn i swallowed my flagship pride so much with those specs, but before rooting, i find there's this archaic USB2 only (which also means no DeX!).. I mean, what the hell.. You don't get microsd and you don't get fast USB either? Reminds me of those Onepluses with "Type-C but USB2" several generations in row, but that's also a matter of past.
Swipes from edge ain't easy thanks to the frame. I call it anti-Edge display. That frame however adds yet another protection (when unfolded).
nice:
0-30min is 52% on par with samsung flagships (not OnePlus league of course but still nice)
there's some nice resillence of battery in standby
physical fingerprint is lightning fast, but it's a 2nd such phone in row where this reader is hard to find with fingers (also thanks to black color)
very decent weight
decent non-Exynos rootable cpu
the form factor, uniqueness, coolness and double display protection actually
good app switcher (into multiwindow or popup mode), and easy to access (which is more important than the actual function), bit better than Sony SideSense which is hard to trigger
e-z Qi charging placement without usual readjustments, clear indication of charging (the mini display will show progress and estimation NONSTOP).. wirecutters do need to be informed
returned after 3 days: i was on brink when finding out about no DEx, then i found the new retail box from samsung-authorized seller isn't new and no longer can register for screen protection, so that was it.

Overall I give this phone a four out of five. Im probably not the best judge however due to the fact I'm coming from a three year old device in the Samsung Galaxy relay 4g. After having said that though, battery life is great. I can get through a full day without charging. And that's moderate to heavy use with GPS. Virtual keyboard is awesome. I miss swpe but don't want to switch and lose predictive text functionality with hw keyboard. The hw keyboard is pretty small. I knew this going in but was still she'll shocked about it at first. I'm slowly getting used to it though. I like the scrolling functionality but the fact it doesn't work on every app and not in the same way is a deterrent. The buttons have a decent feel but I guess if they couldn't be any bigger I would of liked a spacing around them. But overall not horrible. I haven't used the camera much, but from what I've seen its lightyears ahead of what I'm used to. Even the crappie 2mp front facing camera is an upgrade from the relays 1.5(I think)mp. Anyhow, the priv seem like a pretty good next gen phone. I do agree that the price is way too high, however, especially without marshmallow.
5/5 … as a former Nexus 5 user, I wasn't aware how I missed an AMOLED screen and MicroSD support until I got the PRIV. The physical keyboard was the main reason (was curious, and I never had the G1), but the rest of the package is better than I hoped for. The OS is mostly stock with useful additions by BlackBerry. The January security update came a day before Google even announced it here. (And BBRY promised to keep delivering updates ASAP.) It's just the perfect device for me. The only thing I was missing in the beginning was wireless charging (I got the European model) … but I bought 2 original desktop stands (for the price of 1 noname wireless one!) and now this isn't a problem anymore. I'm looking forward to more awesome devices from BlackBerry running Android already…
Absolutely a joy to own! It has everything I ever wanted in a smartphone and feels amazing to type on a hardware keyboard again!
I just got this phone yesterday and was disappointed at first. I guess using a Passport and Note 4 I was expecting more. However, I am enjoying this phone now! I do find the form factor to be great for my hands, which are small, because it is lightweight but sturdy. App download and install is a bit slow but I only got the update one day ago so maybe once it settles it'll get better. I really wish it had the Hub with swipe right and peek by swiping up slightly. That's all I have for now!
I love this phone.... My previous phone (Xperia Z) started failing so I searched all around my city until I was informed a local T-Mobile store had 1 in stock. I rushed to get it and I have to say it is epically legendary. I do however wish we could root it because I could use some of those extra features.

not having root it's a no no for me, and no Roms also...
but if bb keep the device updated, i'm sort of interested now...
i'm dying to own a hardware keyboard again, was so stupid to sell my D4.

Yes, it does hang/lag. It heats up when we try to multitask. Else The phone is good. One more thing that is not upto mark> is the front camera.

i'm coming from the G4, which i have a lot of negative things to say about due to LG basically abandoning it not too long after launch - i said i wouldn't buy LG again but the super bright screen and android one lured me back in (plus i needed to know all the LTE bands would be supported here in canada).
overall i'm enjoying the device, the screen is gorgeous and performs very nicely in bright light. the operating system is pretty darn zippy and responsive, the CPU doesn't run too hot and although i would prefer more RAM it's performing pretty well all told. no real issues so far other than the abysmal rollout on "monthly" security updates (they skipped february and took until the 21st for march's). the default camera app is okay i spose, although i installed the gcam apk from the relevant thread here and have been pretty happy with it other than what i perceive as a bit of lag in taking images. the device boots up quickly, the fingerprint scanner is accurate and fairly fast, but i have to say that the speaker itself does not sound as "full" as my G4 in everyday use although it definitely goes louder - it sounds a bit shrill in the hand, but my bluetooth headphones sound just dandy. haven't actually tried wired cans, but bluetooth in general is quick to connect and my amazfit bip watch is much happier than with my previous phone. range is excellent and i've had no disconnect issues as of yet.
personally i can't stand the google assistant key, so i ended up buying "button remap" by the fabulous @flar2 and made it dance to my satisfaction, which had the side benefit of uncoupling the volume key controls so i can manage just the ringtone/notifications separate from media (pie has some weird ideas, imo). LTE reception is excellent, all the bands worked out of box and my Fido sim had no issues with automagically choosing the correct APN, and overall data throughput is good, call quality is good. handfeel is pretty decent, although without a case it's slippery as all out and i definitely wouldn't try to operate it that way. the design is not particularly inspired, and availability/price is atrocious and typical of LG not seeming to care about their mobile division. battery life isn't the best, i'm not sure why they went with a 3000mAH sized cell, but the fast charge works excellent - although the included usb c cable does NOT support the full 18w (my inline meter says it peaks at 12w, and i had to get a different cable to get it to charge at rated speed/voltage).
personally, i find the notch to be rubbish (nacho notch improved things visually) and the notification led is small, not bright, and seemingly not very adjustable. obviously the speed of security updates is garbage, as is the lack of an actual usb driver and the likely never to be unlocked bootloader is typical LG. the screen has a slight curve on the sides, which meant that the tempered glass screen protector i picked up with the phone doesn't cover the entire screen side to side which is silly as there was no need to curve the screen other than trying to look cool/riding samsung's tip ;b
overall the phone feels like kind of an afterthought by LG, and i don't get the impression that they're going to support this device very much. i paid $539 CAD for it on amazon and definitely wouldn't want to pay more for it, but android one and the screen are definite saving graces. perhaps not enough to justify it versus other devices on the market, but it is what it is. /rant
I concur with most of what you said. I got the phone for $0 with a two-year plan on Bell. They dropped the price quickly. The price you paid for the phone outright seems good.
I would add that sometimes the scrolling is jumpy and stutters, maybe depending on what site you are on. Sometimes it is as smooth as butter. Maybe 4GB is not enough. Also, despite having the option for and SD card, I think this phone should have shipped with 64GB.
The chassis is slippery as hell, bought a TPU case off Amazon and it makes a huge difference.
Because LG promised two years of software updates, we should be getting TWO major updates AFTER Pie, to Android R, but I'm not holding my breath. If it stops at Q, and LG tries to tell us it's because we had Oreo out of the box, the Android One program will lose a lot of credibility. Watch it happen though. I don't think LG will bother supporting a two-year old phone with the latest Android version.

My short review of redmi K20 Pro / Mi 9T Pro in croatian language (there are video and photo samples): https://android.bswireless.hr/2019/09/xiaomi-mi-9t-pro-odnosno-redmi-k20-pro-najpovoljniji-mobitel-s-najbrzim-snapdragon-procesorom/
I've had and used this device (9T Pro 6/128 Black, M1903F11G) for a bit over a week now. My previous phone was almost 5 years old (HTC M8), so for me this is a huge upgrade in every way. It is fast and beautiful and takes great pictures even in difficult conditions. Finally I have an AMOLED screen again and it is gorgeous.
I have not unlocked, rooted, modded the device yet. Running MiUI 10.3.3.0 PFKEUXM. I plan to keep it stock for a month or so just to make sure that any gripes I might have with MiUI are not just a matter of getting used to. I will probably put Lineage OS on it.
All in all I love the device a lot. It looks good and feels good in the hand. I have not used other modern devices, so I can't really compare. Instead I will list nags / negative things, then you can decide whether these are things you care about.
- Pop-up camera.
This feels like it would be a weak point, as it is the only moving part. It probably also makes it less dust and water proof.
I don't use face unlock and I don't take selfies, so I don't care too much about this. I like that the screen has no notch in it.
- It does not have stereo speakers.
Dual front facing speakers on the M8 were much better, but came at a cost of screen real estate.
I care about this a little bit, but for media I mostly use headphones anyway and for alarms, notifications, etc.. this does not matter.
- Finger print scanner response is inconsistent.
Most of the time it works very quickly (less than half a second) but sometimes it takes longer or I have to lift my finger and try again.
This is my first device with FPS so maybe this is normal. I like the idea of FPS on the back (Motorola, LG, ...) but I can't tell from experience whether this is actually better.
- The FM radio has no RDS and the reception is not very good.
I am probably one of the few people that care about FM radio.
- Lack of SD card slot
...but with 128GB internal storage that should not be a problem. On other devices that did have SD card slots I have always used them to expand internal storage, never as removable storage.
love it!

I had a fingerprint scanner on the back on my previous phone and this is one of the main reason I wanted to switch to a phone with a fingerprint scanner under the screen.
I use my phone a lot at work and most of time it’s lying on the desk, so each time I wanted to either use my phone, check message/mails or anything else, I had to grab the phone and put my finger on the back in order to unlock it and that was very inconvenient, especially when you do this 50/100 times a day.
Now I only have to put my finger on the screen and that’s it, don’t even have to move the phone, I like it much better, even though fingerprint scanner under the screen is not as quick as the one on the back.
Love it. I handed some devices with notch and I couldn't stand it. It may look strange but even the asymmetric bezels in mi 9t pro hurts my brain. Lol.
Switched from a Huawei P20 Lite to European MI 9T PRO and it's a huge improvement.
PRO's
- no notch
- better display
- updated hardware (resolves tasks much faster)
- better camera
- larger battery
CON's
- no expandable memory
- MIUI still strange to me (would've loved stock like OnePlus)
Overall I love it

In the middle of switching from a Mi Max 3. Not fully switching until I can unlock and root it.
Pluses -
LIttle bit faster than the Max but not enough that I'd not go back.
Better camera.
Cons -
No sd slot. First phone I've had without and not sure I like it.
Tiny screen. The Max series has been perfect for me and this is a major decider as to whether I keep it as I read a lot of pdfs and movie watching.
Unknown - battery life. Tiny battery in comparison and I'm used to 13+ hrs SOT so this could be another decider.
Meh - amoled isn't as much of an improvement as I'd been expecting after 2 years with lcd.
Had a zte zmax pro for years... talk about an upgrade! i did days of research, and continuously went up and up the chain of cost until I felt like I landed at the sweet spot for price and modern performance with the Mi 9T Pro. Just before ordering I realized AMOLED has "OLED" in it :highfive:. I live in the US so after showing coworkers they were shocked. One even commented how they basically paid 3 times as much for a phone that is similar (at best) than mine. Yup :victory:
Overall am amazed by the quality and performance as you can imagine. Now just looking for a daily driver to stick with. So far MIUI isn't bad, but I'd like to see whats out there. Thanks to the devs who continue to work on what they love, and allow us to use our devices to their fullest potential.
Love it too
all I need is no notch and it does , that's all
For the price, phone is really great . It's super fast, quality is good. My main complaint is lack of sd card slot, but it's not really big problem

I was in love before this bad news! "First the speaker sounds awful. Second just one speaker under. The upper part just for phone call. Nothing will happen while watching videos. At least the bottom one is front firing speaker." https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=KvhdxaS84tg&feature=youtu.be
Have been using it for 1 week. My first impression
Speaker volume very soft.
the torchlight is VERY dimmed. you can't use it to walk through a dark room
the padding on widgets too much. its takes about 1/2 of space on each end (top / bottom) or (left / right).
First weeks impression as well: Can confirm about the torchlight, it's dimmer than the light from the nokia 7 plus or xiaomi mi 9t f.e., but you can use it to find your way through a dark room, just tested it out.
Nova launcher doesn't really work without loosing the Android 10 navigational gestures, on the Xiaomi Mi 9t it did work, but the gestures were in eachothers way. Because the xperia 10 II has near vanilla Android it doesn't really bother me, just miss the abillity to change the amount of dock-items and the abillity to change the icon themes. I don't miss it that much to give up on the android 10 gesture-navigation.
The sliding bookmarks in the Lightning-browser also don't work on the 10 II with the gesture-navigation, it does with the 3 buttons.
Rooting seems do-able since you can unlock it at the Sony-site; I guess you could create a boot image with magisk manager-canary and then flash it with fastboot. I don't see the need for it to try it myself, since I use a vpn with adblocker, so no need for adaway. (There are other alternatives anyway nowadays if you don't use a vpn, apps like Blokada, Adguard or Block This.)
The LTE-indicators seem low a lot of the time but it works. Speakerphone is ok, nothing special. Sound through the headphone jack sounds good and clear.
You can do at least 2 days with the battery with normal use. If you let your kids watch netflix the whole afternoon you probably have to recharge to get through the evening.
You want a screenprotector and a cover for this phone, it feels pretty fragile at least. But in the days I had to wait for my cover and protector It didn't get damaged though.
The thing I like the most about this phone is that my NFC pay-app from my bank finally works again, it didn't on my xiaomi mi9t. The location of the Fingerprintscanner is very nice, it works good enough. It's also nice to know the phone can stand some rain or a glass of beer in the pub. Overall I recommend this phone, it's a good phone for a good price.
Sorry if this is a stupid question. I know the Xperia 10 II has only one speaker. But it produces stereo sound through earphones, right?
So, impressions after two weeks of usage :
(comparing mostly to my previous Xperia XZ)
First of all, you can actually use Xperia 10 II with one hand, which is nice.
There is no feeling "OMG it can sleep out of my hand any moment" (which is usually the case with most of modern large smooth-edged phones).
It's not so good as very first Xperia Z (which had kinda-rubber edges), but still feels reliable enough.
Fingerprint sensor is better and worse. Better, because it's faster. Worse, because you almost never can unlock phone with wet finger; XZ could do it, well half of the time
This is probably because of smaller size of sensor. Anyway, with clean fingers it works nearly perfectly.
Screen is really good.
Automatic brightness is very handy in current (very sunny) weather -- no need to constantly change brightness up-and-down when going indoor/outdoor.
Camera is noticeably better, especially in low-light conditions.

Yes, of course sound is stereo via wired and wireless headphones.
I switched about 4 weeks ago, coming from a Pixel 2 XL. On forehand, based on reviews, I knew some things were going to be worse. Nevertheless I decided to give this phone a chance instead of the Pixel 4a.
This is what I like so far:
Battery life
Turns out I can easily manage between 1 and 2 days with this phone (2 XL was giving me 0,5 day in the end).
Screen
Quality is pretty good for this price segment and I wanted to give the less usual form factor a try. Loved my S8 for that reason.
Build quality
It's not that bad, imho. I like the fact that it's quite light and the fact that it's still in one piece after a 1,5m drop on the streets (although that may have just been sheer dumb luck).
IP65/IP68 rating
We Dutchies tend to cycle a lot (even in the rain). I also like to give my phone a good rinse these days, once in a while. And after having an IP rated device in the past (Z2/Z2 tablet), I can't get used to a device not having an IP-rating anymore. Therefore it became a requirement when selecting a new phone.
A pretty clean Android experience
Okay, it isn't a Pixel but it sure feels pretty clean out of the box. Facebook is the only app that "bothered" me (other than that it was nice to have a choice to [not] install apps) but since I would be installing it anyway it didn't really matter.
3,5mm jack
Using it quite a lot at work, doesn't require me to charge BT earphone/pieces all the time.
Camera's (more than one)
This is my first phone with multiple camera's, and I think I like that. I like especially the wide-angle one, helps me capture shots I couldn't get before.
Things I like less or don't like so much (but knew before I was buying):
Camera's (speed + quality)
They are just slow and the photo quality is "meh", especially when you're used to Pixel 2 XL photo's. A good excuse to dust off my Canon G7 X Mark II
Pixel experience (new Android versions/quick security patches)
Got myself another phone since support for the 2 XL is ending. Giving Sony a chance here (Z2 experience was great actually). I knew (security) updates for the 10 ii would come later, not sure how much later. Not impressed so far (still waiting for October patch) but I kinda expected that too.
Performance
It's just a fact, the SoC isn't the most powerful out there. In my daily use I can't really notice it, although when multitasking or when you want to do things in a hurry you can just "feel" it's an average processor. Luckily I don't play games on my phone since I can imagine that's not going to be a smooth experience.
Overall I'm quite happy with the phone. I sincerely hope that Sony finds a way (and the will) to speed up and improve the camera usage, that would be awesome.
Would recommend when on a budget; 7,5 out of 10.

HI
I own this device since just some days.
The sensations are quite good, the overall use is smooth and solid, the interface is well usable, the camera pack is really ok and I can also
witness it resists in water (about one minute in 50cm of water, not a spontaneous test! )!
I use this as a camera phone. And its awesome.
Somewhat love it
Couldn't find "Realme 6 pro (overall) review" -thread, so I decided to post my overall impression here.
Using this phone for about 1 month now.
Body is very shiny, so you'll have to wipe it with a towel all the time due to fingerprints.
Alas, not all bloat-ware can be uninstalled. For example, a "Game Center" and an aggressive "App Market" app, (which pushes itself between you and your favorite Google Play Store) - both cannot be deleted from device easily... But bloat-ware is so common, you hardly expect to get a phone made by more cultured folk nowadays! On the brighter side, I found numerous useful new options in this phone, which are result of Android's improvement. (Of course, there are several good items from hardware category too, including x2 optical zoom etc., but they are advertised, so I knew about them prior to buying this model). Instead of repeating things which are mentioned by mobile-selling websites, I'd rather tell you here about really bad "surprises", which aren't mentioned in most reviews. For example, Android's Control Panel is, alas, at the top now, so forget about easy one-hand operations which you used to enjoy on your older phone. Well, there is "one-hand" special mode, but it is useless for me, cause it makes everything too small. Camera has three not-so-obvious problems: 1) slow-motion mode records somewhat blurred videos; 2) digital stabilizer doesn't work when it is most needed, that is - when we use zoom [even if it is only 2x -zoom..., alas, what to do?]; 3) worst thing: during video-recording, audio is being recorded in voice-activated mode (or is it super-noise cancellation?). Alas, you can't switch off this setting; as result, first letters of each phrase that you try so say in your video are being cut off. Simply put, you get abnormal soundtracks to all your videos.
Unfortunately, phone reviews which I've red on other websites prior to purchase, didn't mention these hidden shortcomings..
Battery discharges a bit faster than I expected after having another phone with same battery capacity. Even with 90Hz mode switched off I had to recharge my phone at least once per day. Of course all depends on how exactly you operate your phone most of the time. Well I use my phone for anything but gaming, and I use it for about 7-8 hours daily.
Brightness of screen under sunlight is almost zero, but here I mean really sunny day.
Other than this, I'm happy with Realme 6 Pro, cause it is not very expensive model anyway.. Of course there is no point in purchasing bad phone only because it is cheap. But Realme 6 Pro isn't that bad actually. Few camera-related problems can be solved by using other camera apps instead of factory app. Still, alas, there is no solution regarding blurred 60fps videos! But let us hope that things will get fixed in future updates. If you know of any other brand without mentioned problems for similar price, then perhaps you shouldn't buy Realme 6 Pro. As for me, I didn't know of better phone with similar price tag. This is how I got this strange fellow. Definitely it is good phone for most purposes.

I agree display is too dark under sunlight. Sometimes I can't see what I'm actually filming.. But happily at least it has 90Hz mode. For reading news and other textual content it's a good phone. As regarding camera, it harbors three ugly "surprises" (I speak of them in my post above).
The best overall budget phone I've owned, bar none. Easy to root and recover from errors, especially with the excellent support here on XDA. I enjoy experimenting with android phones, and this one seems always to have a next level to do that and recover from seeming disasters.
