IR blaster on stock ROM not bringing up remote list - LeEco Le Pro3 Questions & Answers

I assume it's trying to pull it from a defunct server? When trying to add a remote it just keeps spinning and never pulls up any list... Any solution?

[Q] PA 3.5, Unified Remote & Tasker issue

Hi,
I'm not entirely sure where the problem is located (besides behind the buttons).
I've been using CM 10.1 with Unified Remote, a Tellstick and Tasker for almost 2 weeks now, and it's been flawless.
Alarm goes off -> Turn all lights on.
Run app on phone -> Start same application on HTPC.
You get my point.
When PA released it's HALO-included alpha build (3.5-ish?), I felt the urge to try it out.
I set it up the above applications in the exact same way that I did in CM 10.1, however, it seems as if Tasker can't run ur-addresses.
I tried re-installing all mentioned apps, just in case the way I installed them may have caused a malfunction.
No luck.
I can remote control everything from inside Unified Remote, but not from within Tasker, where I usually run Task -> Browse URL
Seems like the phone doesn't recognize "ur" as a valid protocol in the way it accepts ftp or http
After a few tries, I restored my CM-backup, where everything runs just fine.
Any ideas how this might be? Is PA connected in any way? I doubt it, but I can't find any relevant information elsewhere.
This has been resolved. I installed PA 3.55.
I guess it was fixed after a factory reset.

IR Blaster for unknown remotes

I wonder if there is an app that can record each button (one by one) of my custom IR remote and then save the command so I can send it through my S4. You know, like in old days, record IR command of each button than save it as a remote for the future.
I just want to control some unbranded products that will never be supported by WatchON or any IR Blaster app out there that count on a list of regular codes for each brand.
Thanks in advance! :fingers-crossed:

I am also Looking for something Like this. Somebody Can shed light on this?
Unfortunately our S4 lacks the hardware to receive IR signals- it can only transmit. I believe the HTC OneX has the learning functions as well. Wonder if one could use one to copy the remote and transfer the files to the S4.

Use your PC keyboard and mouse to remotely control your Fire TV (requires root)

Setup Synergy (server) on your PC.
Sideload Synergy Android Client on your Fire TV.
The client can be setup from the Fire TV remote. Press "Right" from the empty textarea at the bottom to select "Connect".
The client will continue to run, even with the Fire TV is asleep. Just use escape to wake it, though you will have to reconnect after a restart.
I haven't found the right key combinations for Home or Menu, but ESC works for Back. I'll update this post if I stumble across them or someone posts them below.
For help setting up the server on your PC, see the Synergy User Guide.
Tip: I personally prefer to use hotkeys to switch between screens, rather than moving the mouse off screen. If you choose to use move your mouse from screen to screen, I highly recommend setting up a hotkey to bring your focus back to the main screen, for when you lose track of your mouse.
Note: An older version of Synergy is still available to download for free on SourceForge, though I haven't tested it with the android client.
I also ran across ShareKM (Share Keyboard & Mouse) in the related threads when posting this, but I haven't tested it, either.
Using a keyboard and mouse does not require root.

Or you can just plug the hundred different mice and keyboards into your fire TV through a hub and it works natively unless I'm missing something about synergy.

Relax guys, he is just pointing out options. This would be useful say for someone that does not have a stand alone mouse or keyboard but has a laptop they can use to make the random selection here and there.

This is to remotely control the Fire TV with the local keyboard and mouse on a PC or laptop. I have updated the thread title to clarify.

I haven't been able to get it to work for me. It just tells me I wasn't able to "Failed to connect to Wolvey:24800" on the firestick side. I changed the computer name to Wolvey since the previous one was the LAPTOP-;kjasdf and I was too lazy to sit there and try typing that over and over again. I restarted my computer after changing the name as well. Not sure what I'm doing wrong.
Also, I was wondering if DeskDock was tried out as well since it seems to be considered to be a more stable alternative?
Thanks

[Q] Multi-User Support?

I just got my Nexus Player yesterday, and set it up, but could not find a way to add a second account. After doing some research, it looks like this is a feature that was left out for the moment.
Question is: Is anyone out there working on adding this feature (via ROM, app, however) or is there already a way to do it that I may have missed? Seems like it would be a key feature for a "living room" style device, unless Google expects everyone to live on their own or buy multiple devices and use multiple inputs just to switch accounts.

Mass Deployment and Control - Help?

Hello,
I recently bought 200+ Amazon Fire tablets cheap. Glass is damaged in the top left (beside the camera). Unable to access via touch.
We want to deploy a number of them in a school, one at every classroom doorway to show classroom schedule, announcements, etc. Possibly even have do things like showing big red pointing arrows for alarms and such.
At the same time we need a way to control (full access to Settings) all of them remotely. All at once, specific groups, and individually.
Am I looking at rooting all of them? Is there a way to do them all at once?
I'm looking at Enrollment as a first step?
Unlock brand new tablets without touch? How?
Will android enrollment allow me to do what I want?
Or what am I missing?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Or is this even possible? Ultimately we'd mount them on the wall and cover the entire screen with a sheet of plexi. If not, any ideas for use in a school? We'd have to use bluetooth keyboards and mice...
