I haven't found a solution to this problem so I'm making a new thread.
I got my N4 a week ago, I'm on CM10.1 stable and Franco kernel. I know there are complaints about poor battery life with the N4 but I find mine is actually pretty good with exception of the Voice Calls. My voice calls are always the 1st culprit for battery drain (along with the screen - but that's normal). After monitoring my battery usage for a few days and doing some math, it's as if my battery drains from 100% - 0% after 3.5-4 hours of phone calls. This is a quarter of what's reported by GSM arena for 3G usage (don't worry, taken with a grain of salt) and what bugs me is that it's even far worse then my previous Galaxy S Captivate. Iv'e also noticed that playing 3D games drains less battery per minute then voice calls!
So, anyone knows what's the deal here?

From my experiences, phone calls always hold the top spot for battery usage. Not much can be done about it as far as I know..

quality of the phone signal will play a huge role in this too
My cell coverage is pretty good, and the main reason I think there is an actual problem is because voice calls didn't take up as much percentage with my Galaxy S while overall battery life improved with everything else.
For now I'm trying a new rom and kernel to see if that was the cause.
I haven't bought this device. I am thinking to but battery is a big question for me because its non replaceable. I will buy a used phone so it is a issue for me. Can you guys tell me hows its battery life? and is 16GB enough? How much is user available?
just got it, you've got like 11.5gb available and battery is fine so far i haven't charged it in over 16 hours and I'm at like 40%

By the way hows its low light/night result of camera? I was reading on "Post pictures taken from your Nexus 4!" and many users have said it has bad quality? Or they really cant use camera? lol
Nexus 4 camera sensor is small , 1/4 " and it really takes crappy photos im low light

the phone is like 6 moths old but i got it yesterday, it was my moms, the camera is OK but you have to play around in the settings to get it right for the situation, id say don't take low light hoots if you don't have to but its not that bad at all for normal pics
Camera is ok...Not so good, but not that bad too, just ok.
About battery life, depends on your usage. Mine usually lasts for 12 hours, with 3g on all day, using whatsapp, tapatalk, chrome, sometimes playing games...

Actually after the Google Camera update the camera takes decent photos, and after editing them with the built in photo editor they do look very good, as long as you know how to use it properly
Camera is really okay. It pales infront of current high end cameras like the one m8 or z3, but the shots are always satisfying. You really must know how to handle it.
My batterie life is also very good. It last at least one day with chatting, browsing, a tiny bit gaming, music and movies. On screen time always are 3,5/4+ hours. I think there is nothing to complain about.
i have the n4 since january 2013, and im getting less and less satisfied with the battery life.
im a heavy user, lots of browsing, listening to music on bluetooth, chatting, etc., and i used to get a day of use out of it easily, now i have to charge it to be able to pull through work and the usual evening beer.
i rarely get more than 2 hours screen on time, and im constantly on wifi or 2g, just a couple of times 3g, with about an average of -70dBm cell coverage.
every keep awake permission is revoked, and only a handful of apps get access to my location, so the phone is mostly in deep sleep.
average battery drain is about 2,9% according to system monitor for the last couple of days.
if battery life is important to you, id rather recommend the moto g.
Depending on usage and reception about 3-5h screen on time.

I've got problem with high battery usage by stand by on my galaxy s4 android 5.0
I don't know whats happening, i dont have sync enabled, nor GPS. After couple hours I've got 32% battery used only by stand by. Screenshots are avaliable in my albums
Hey guys, I am having a issue regarding my battery. It takes more than 3 hours to full charge and drain in less than 3 hours. I am not playing any game also in my device. I am just using WiFi not anything else.
I've had the phone just a week and if I am using heavy then the battery is pretty good, lasts 4 hours plus. Better than my G5.
However, if I am barely using and only sending the occasional WhatsApp and not much else, then the battery doesn't seem to last as long, for example it drained to 50% today with very little use, only 1 hour of SOT. Wifi and location were on, but Bluetooth off.
I've taken some screenshots of battery stars with gSam. Could someone help me decipher what is causing the drain? Or if this is normal behaviour?
Everyone is saying that this phone has amazing standby battery life because of 7.0, Doze, etc. So I am confused!

Looks like you have something running in The background keeping it from falling into deep sleep which is why. Unfortunately I suck @ troubleshooting these kinds of scenarios. My guess would be a Google service of some type. My brother had a problem with Gmail one time that was draining his battery while the phone was in sleep
