Hello
I'm runing S5 Rc Elite rom on my Note 3 N9005 International version. If I want to make update to a CM11 4.4.4 rom can I go back to my 4.4.2 Rc Elite rom after? I don't know how to check if my bootloader is locked or not. Anyone?
Thank you!
You can go back and forth between TW 4.4.2 and AOSP 4.4.4. I have done it several times.

Use [APP] Phone INFO <<SAMSUNG>>.
I see the number of bootloader but where I can see if it's locked?

If you are with KK you have the good BL. No need to flash last one, it's useless; I'm still on NA6.....

If you have an application (APK on Android device or EXE on computer...), you cannot know if it is unlocked (full functional version) or locked (trial version), until you actually run it.
And the bootloader is also the same. You cannot know if it is locked or not, until you (or someone else) test it.
Isn't it?
As far as I know all N9005 bootloaders are unlocked.
Here is a thread on bootloader/modem update: [GUIDE]For Flashing Baseband/Modem/Bootloader N9005.
Have fun...

I want to sell the phone on - which I'm a bit sad about, as I quite liked this one !
I've downloaded the stock ROM for CyanogenOS.(two versions, one is fastboot)
How do I return this phone properly to stock - with the ZUK boot logo, I'm guessing that it doesn't really matter if it's rooted or the bootloader is unlocked as it doesn't warn on these things - but I'm guessing I need the stock recovery and make sure it can get OTA updates??
I've looked and I don't see a guide on this??
Anyone wanting to know how to do this:

I don't know why it's showing you this when you've installed stock rom/firmware. But did you have root or unlocked bootloader?
I really want to put a custom ROM on my phone (Asus ZenFone Laser 2 - ZE500KL), obviously without bricking it. Because I can't find RessurectionRemix or LineageOS already built, I'm going to try building by myself.
I can't find any good tutorials, but I tried this one, but I got an error right when installing the libraries... Because I know no one is going to build it for me, can someone suggests a step by step tutorial? (I have amateur Linux skills, I'm not any pro, but not any noob)
You can find LineageOS/AOKP/RR for ZE500KL here. here
Make sure you get the Z00ED version.

Well, I found that post but didn't notice there was an "Z00ED" in the title... By the way, some steps would be good to install it, because if I brick this, I'm dead... I know the steps, but making sure of them would be great...

You unlock the bootloader then you flash TWRP.. After that you wipe DATA/CACHE/DALVICK CACHE and you flash your ROM and GAPPS (ARM64).

So, if something go wrong in the process, I would just need to do the exact same process but with the stock ROM right?
Make sure your bootloader is unlocked before flashing twrp, go to fastboot and type this
fastboot oem device-info
if you see this -->> (bootloader)Device unlocked: true
then you are unlocked, then proceed to flash your device twrp latest version.

Yes, It's unlocked. Tomorrow I'll try flashing TWRP and then Lineage OS...
I found the TWRP here.
If someone could give feedback about this site I would be grateful!

You need to flash the stock recovery and then flash the stock ROM. There are plenty of tutorials on XDA to help you with that so don't worry.. You can find more in the General section of this forum

The second on (androidfilehost)
Before installing make sure you are on Android 6.0 and you unlocked your bootloader using the official unlock: http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/ZenFone/ZE500KL/0518-1134_SIGNED_UnlockTool_ZE500KL_AndroidM.apk
You should find your twrp here in xda or twrp.me

Just 2 more things I wanna make sure:
1. Do I need to root to flash LineageOS?
2. On that LineageOS post, what is the AOKP? xD I already checked the website but I didn't get what it is, and if it comes with the ROM...
You dont need to root because the rom is already pre rooted. But you can change root to SuperSU or PHH Superuser if you want.
AOKP are custom ROM developers/modders.

1: you don't need to root
2: AOKP is a custom ROM based on CyanogenMod/LineageOs but with extra features (Like Resurrection Remix has)
Thank you very much to everyone, Im just rocking LineageOS 14.1 on my smartphone! Until now, no errors!

I will try your method but firsr I have a question: If i restart my phone I get a message on my screen that my phone is unlocked and can't be trusted. So that means my bootloader is already unlocked and I don't have to unlock it again? So I only have to flash revolution recovery and find the file in firnware finder?
Is there a instruction how to install revolution recovery and where to find the file...?

Too late bro, I've discovered that if you change the kernel of the rom (with one which is working with the new bootloader) you'll be able to boot it.
At least you made it. Good luck with your new ROM!
