Yes, i read about this too..... I have the Developer Option available already (a few taps on the version number) but no Google UI option there, just 3 options to chose from. Or do you know how to get more options?
I did a try a russian "2014-10-14--10-16-45 K920_ROW_S126_140825.7z" with their "twrp_2.8.0.1_recovery_K920Pro.7z" file but it "killed" my phone....
I can still access the Lenovo Re ovey and the root menu though.. But the operating system just hangs at the Chinese 4G logo.....
Im not able to restart the TWRP again. I start to dislike this odd phone now after spending 30-40 hours to try to get google play, gmail etc to work.. I should have bought a HTC or Samsung instead..

You shouldn't do that at the early release of the phone. Even any phone. You need to wait for the official rom release. How about you try fastboot and flash the twrp/cwm recovery. From the recovery use sideload to reflash the stock rom. Keep in mind that you should wait for a review or someone who actually successfully flash the custom roms/non-official rom. Except root, theres a number of successful root.

I know but i was desperate to get Google to work... Bricked or Chines system is same same for me...
Fastboot and TWRP cant find any device. Factory reset or wipe did not help either. Can access boot menu and Lenovo recovery, but need a recovery file first, and then we have problem with that i cant access the phones internal storage.... And this crap has no SD-memory either...
$700 down the drain for sure... Still have to buy a new phone though, and im still in China... Have to fly to HK to get a new phone... This is going to be expensive.
Thats what happen when you flash the unofficial rom. You know the risk. Make sure you have installed fastboot driver and adb driver. Im sure you can reflash the rom after you able to enter fastboot

Drivers are okay and have worked before. But now when running ABD Devices command, it show "? unautorized" so i get stuck there.
I SOLVED IT....... Except that the both SIM-card shows a red X.. but everything else seems, camera, GPS, WiFi to work AND it has GOODLE PLAY etc now.. Anyone know how to make the phone to work again?
I have tried ABD, Fastboot, TWRP, MiFlash, QPST, QMSCT_DL_EMMC_TOOL but nothing worked except following this instruction
I used the files in the Bin-folder of K920_ROW_S126_140825_user_1408251128 rom
https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Lenovo-Phones/Lenovo-K910-Vibe-Z-bricked/m-p/1611710#M6838
Flashed back to the Chinese version and the SIM-cards works again... Any idea why the SIM-cards stops to work on the ROW rom?????

Hey bud! Welcome to the **** show.
Okay so I am currently trying to debug this myself and have help and am struggling like no other!!!
However what I can say is that CM13 from before June 5th might work. Aside from that try to get a img of stock to restore to your phone.

if you have TWRP, go with the rom that is titled "stock rooted deodexed".
When I was having problems with my ZE551kl (not anything like the one you've described), that was the only ROM that worked for me.
The audio out port (earphone port) does not work with that ROM, but otherwise it is FANTASTIC
also, check out this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/zen...ne-2-laser-t3399441/post67336853#post67336853
Could you then update to the next version once that rom was installed?

Did you follow the instructions? - http://developer.sonymobile.com/services/flash-tool/how-to-download-and-install-the-flash-tool/
You have to copy "Customization.ini" file, as written - usually that's the problem...
Yes, I followed those instructions, but the error still occurs

- see if you can keep it from updating, (maybe a checkbox during installation, or a settings option)
- see if you can find a different version to install
- uninstall/reinatall
- maybe make sure you're running as admin
- if what you want to do is update ta, I've read that the update is included in latest fw, so you could flash w/ Flashtool
Besides that, not sure. I know many people have used it successfully with those instructions.
Hi,
Thanks for suggestions. I've tried them all to no avail.
If you have a link to an alternative version, let me know. I tried 0.9.18.1 but it doesn't detect my device properly.
Sorry, didn't understand the last line of your post - "if what you want to do is update ta, I've read that the update is included in latest fw, so you could flash w/ Flashtool"
What is "ta"? I would like to put the stock firmware back on the phone. Currently it is running Resurrection Remix.
Thanks...

Easiest thing is prf from this forum, http://forum.xda-developers.com/son...503-14-6-1-236customizedinpre-rooted-t3265543. Next easiest is probably Flashtool/Xperifirm, http://www.flashtool.net/
As title says, all attempts to flash a custom ROM result in error 7, I have checked that my version of TWRP is up to date and the ROM is for TRLTEXX. I have also tried removing the 'assert' section in `updater-script`, which caused another error where the `update-binary` file cannot be found. Can anyone help me figure out why this is happening and how to fix it?

First, if you just bought this phone, what I would do is double check the phone is really 910f. What's it say behind battery? Also boot into download mode, what info does that tell you. When you plug into Odin what model does it say. Reason I say this, I've seen others buy what they thought were F but they were really 910p.
If all the info checks out, I would download twrp again just to make sure you got good file. Downloads can mess up rarely.
Let me know what this tells you.
Had the phone for about a year and a half now, battery cover, behind battery, about page, and download mode all say N910F, the same as the version of TWRP is supposedly for, I have flashed both 3.0.1.0 and 3.0.2.0 of TWRP using Odin with the same result, error 7 on all attempts of installing a ROM. The ROM I'm trying to install is the Resurrection Remix ROM for 6.0.1 TRLTEXX, but others have the same error.

Hi Forum users
have a problem in attempting to ROOT my phone
SAMSUNG GALAXY S8
been a novice user made a mistake
hopping I can still win.
will give very brief Description for the moment hoping to get some help
Basically phone booted into Standard ROM b4 I had finished (last step applying ROOT)
I now get an Error that boots and reboots) the error is
"Only official released binaries are allowed to be flashed"
can still get into Download screen, but cannot get to recovery (TWRP)
Oden can still connect to download screen.
I think what I need to do is a Factory reset again, and hopefully get back into RECOVERY
any suggestions or help would be gratefully received
thanks
PS
happy to give full description if needed

You will need to flash firmware via odin.
You can download firmware with updato.com or sammobile.com
Thanks for reply
Thanks for the reply
Ok just to be clear
I have already flashed TWRP
SO I have a bootloader installed
but cannot access RECOVERY MODE
SO I can access Oden in download mode
which Firmware are you suggesting I Flash
Just had a browse of those sites seem to be mainly Northern hemisphere
I am in Australia
But from what I understand we have the same CPU as the European ones

1. Flashing firmware will delete twrp.
2. Being from Australia myself all firmware are on the website. You will have to filter out for Australian firmware.
3. Do you know what firmware you are on.

Hmm didn't take note of that B4 starting
but I think my Model numbers is SM-G950F if that helps

before stuffing up
will this affect things or will that be overwritten

Flashing stock rom will restore you phone to it's original state. So you will have to install twrp and root again.
For information about firmware and Odin maybe this may be of some help.

If you are not sure about your firmware install the latest version.
On the website they will also have dates of when the firmwares are released.
You can use also samfirm or frija ( PC applications ) to download latest firmware.
OK will follow that info
and do the Firmware update
As I don't know the firmware number, will have to try the latest version
will do a bit more reading when I have a some time and give it a go
thanks for the links.
Will let you know how it turns out
THANKS
Few more Questions
OK done some reading
filtered out some relevent Files, (I hope)
one file took 16 hours to download (they where feeding it at 50kbs).
So have two files which where listed as XSA carrier,
others where Telstra and Optus.
As I am not aware of XSA carrier was hopping that it was some sort of generic carrier firmware
Is that correct ??
One is version 8
the other is version 9
So should I go with the version 9 ?
Sorry for all the questions, just want to make sure I get it right
THANKS

XSA is unbranded firmware ( it's what I have installed on my phone).
If you are locked into a carrier flashing other firmware will not unlock you from that carrier.
Not knowing what firmware you had before and because of download speeds you may have to use version 9 ( PIE ) firmware.
To check software version no. ( bootloader ) you can check in download mode. It should have a line saying AP SWREV: B : * - the star is your bootloader version. So you will have to use this version or higher when flashing firmware.
Make sure of your model number when searching for firmware. S8 = SM-G950f

Are you talking about stock or custom recovery and what is the issues you are having with it.
Depending on you bootloader version number you can not down grade firmware.
I tried to install stock recovery, the problem is: odin installs sucessfully recovery but when i try to go to recovery is not installed
