Hi guys. n00b here.
I have Chinese copy of an xtrons unit for my bmw x5 e53. It was sold as android 9.1 but cpu-z says api 27 which is 8.1.
Its 8227l
It also says the unit already has root access but the current rom installed has very limited functionality it seems like a lot of the normal android stuff is locked and not visible in settings.
I would like to install a stock android rom and I have tried a few suggestions from other 8227l threads but the unit wont install them. Can anyone direct me to a compatible rom/firmware to get this head unit to function normally
I currently don't have any options for bluetooth settings or usb tethering etc. Settings menu is limited.
Details fromCPU-z

I have a very similar unit. In fact, as far as I can tell the specs are exactly the same.
The only difference being the manufacturer tag.
See here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/an...s/help-android-6-unit-identification-t3858386.

So my unit doesn't seem to look much like yours but it has the same OS and MCU versions. Did you ever get a working root for this?
Thanks.
I Have the exact same unit. Has anyone figured out a way to get a better radio app on it. The one built in is terrible
Unfortunately, no. I can't find any information on anything. No firmware, no rooting .

Right now I can't access my gmail account on the radio, it throws me out of the interface when I try to do so.
so i decided to upgrade the radio.
Could someone tell me how to do it? Or point me to a website where it says how to do it.
Thank you!

Hi all, sorry if this has already been posted here...
I've found a bunch of semi-relevant forums but nothing that seems to work fine for me.
I am looking to update my firmware on my android headunit.
Specs are as follows:
Model: t3 (K2001_NWD_S212109)
Manufacturer: Allwinner
Board: exdroid
Hardware: sun8iw11p1
RAM: 770 MB: (~1 GB)
Storage: 1.94 GB: (~2 GB)
Android version: 6.1.0
API Level: 19
Build ID: K2001_NWD_S212109.20170511.21343500
Can anyone please point me to the location of a firmware?
I am currently able to run Android Auto through the Headunit Reloaded app. But am figuring that a much needed update will help improve performance.
Cheers
Jordy
I am getting so confused looking at the various options here and am hoping someone can point me in the right direction. Basic info:
Model: D02022HA16 / 8227L (HiFi version)
Specs: 32GB ROM / 2GB RAM
Android: 11.0 (system reported), 10.0 (AIDA64 reported)
It's tagged as the brand CAMECHO on Amazon, but it wasn't from the Camecho seller. It has some PODOFO apps included. The ZLink app that drives Android Auto is garbage, but I bought HeadUnit Reloaded and it's pretty smooth. The FM radio is borderline useless; stations that my old ATOTO unit picked up without issue are "poppy" in the native tuner app.
Overall, the software is kind of janky and so I'm looking for ROMs I can replace it with. I feel like most of the threads on here are specifying YT9216xx, but I can't find any reference to that anywhere in the system. It looks like Android 8 API27 SUPERMOD for YT9216BF YT9216CFJ YT9216BJ YT9216BFJ YT9216CJ by @ExtremeMOD would work, but I can't figure out a way to verify it before trying (and don't want to brick it.
Any help in figuring out what I'm working with would be appreciated! More detailed information about the unit is below. Thanks in advance!

You can try our Android 8 package safely by following the instructions.
If it doesn't work, simply restore your backup.
A proper backup will solve bootloops and bricks. All instructions are included

Followed steps in https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...rp-custom-ui-brick-recovery-and-more.4318121/
Replaced Step 1 firmware with https://4pda.to/forum/index.php?sho...&_x_tr_hl=en-US&_x_tr_pto=wapp#entry115168364
Step 2 TWRP was 1GB version.
Radio Patch was not needed.
Works perfectly!
