Actually I tried flashing the twrp image file. And it also shows success in the CMD prompt. But then my phone freezes on the Fastboot Mode screen and the TWRP doesn't show up. Then I have to press the Vol + and Vol - Keys along with the Power Button to boot it up again normally try helping me out.
i had the same problem
do you have android 10?
Install twrp through magisk
try this, root without twrp, it worked for me
TWRP dont support Android 10
Twrp works normally on Android 10.

Can you get to the bootloader screen so you can use fastboot? If so try flashing the TWRP recovery, it's a great recovery.

I can press the power button and both volumes and it gets me to download mode... from there, every option i try just gets me back to recovery. when i press start, it sends me to recovery. when i press shut down and then turn it on - recovery. when i press restart bootloader, it still takes me to recovery afterwards. wtf happened here man? never seen this before.

If you can at least get to download/fastboot mode, either get the stock recovery.img file or extract the recovery.img file from a custom_recover.zip, such as CMW or TWRP and place it in the directory where you have the fastboot util on your Windows PC, plug in the device into your Windows PC. Then type the folowing in a Windows Command prompt(without the quotes): "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img". Once that finishes then try rebooting back to recovery.
If you that doesn't work you may have a damaged bootloader, you can try extracting the bootloader(bootloader-manta-mantalj12.img) from the stock ROM and flashing it with the following command: "fastboot flash bootloader bootloader-manta-mantalj12.img" then you can type: "fastboot reboot-bootloader" to reboot directly to the bootloader.

This happened to me yesterday.
Step 1 - hold down the power+volume up+volume down
Step 2 - plug up USB cable and use fastboot to flash the "touch" recovery version. Usebthe method as before, you might need to point your machine to the "naked driver" in dev section to get windows to see the fastboot device driver.
Step 3 - once you are in touch recovery you can just use the touchscreen instead of power button

You can just "adb reboot" from any computer with working adb and drivers.
This needs to not be flashed by default from Rom Manager until they get it taken care of. Twrp and cwm touch work just fine.

Seriously. Can we please sticky a thread or something that says CWM isn't stable on the nexus 10 yet. It would save a lot of people a lot of trouble.
I had the same issue get rid of crappy cwm and flash twrp, flash it by downloading the 1.3 nexus 10 rootkit selecting option 6 i believe with your n10 connected to your pc, it will fix your issue

After attempting to use this tool:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/v20/development/lg-h918-t-mobile-one-click-recowvery-t3491969
It appears that I do not have any recovery installed or it appears I don't have a bootable recovery. Previously I got the custom TWRP recovery to work but the installer went ahead before I was able to wipe data. Now I cannot even boot into stock recovery. even the command "adb reboot recovery" just makes the phone start up normally. Volume down + Power makes the phone start normally as well.
attempting to run the tool again will cause it to deny flashing the custom IMG file as it tells me my recovery is already modified and won't continue unless I turn off verification (highly ill-advised) It refuses to flash TWRP.
At least I have a working phone and not a boot looping brick but is there a way to get stock recovery back just so I can try again? I have been told I need to re-lock my bootloader and hopefully that will restore everything back to the way it was so I can start again.
Any help is greatly appreciated!

If it is the stock recovery it will only format your system to how it is out of the box.
If it goes into TWRP then you'll know.

I made a mistake by flashing the SuperSU zip without booting into the system first. Can you tell me how to boot into recovery with the hardware buttons ?
Turn off your device then hold down power off + volume down button when you see lg logo release the power button for a second while keeping the volume down button pressed then press and hold down power button again with the volume down pressed. Your phone should boot up into factory reset menu click yes to factory reset. Don't worry click yes to factory reset. It will boot into twrp.
NOTE:- It will only work if you have latest twrp build installed, won't work, if you have first build installed.

If you still have the first build, you can still enter the recovery by adb with "adb reboot recovery" while the factory reset scrip of the twrp runs. It won't be immediate, you'll probably lose your data but it will work

That "something" that twrp does is probably the factory reset scrip, so you have to keep the phone plug and adb running so while it's doing "that something" use "adb reboot recovery" command

Ok so I got everything back to normal thanks to you guys. But I have a question. I found that there are 2 aboot.bin files in the system. One is in dev/block/bootdevice and one is in dev/block/platform. So do I run the command twice for both or do I do just one ?

These are the same. Just do
Code:
dd if=/sdcard/aboot_v10f.bin of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p5
assuming aboot_v10f.bin (the patched aboot) is on the root of internal storage.
Thank you very much to everyone that helped. Everything worked perfectly. Had some problems with the official TWRP app so I used Flashify to flash the recovery. For now I am going to use the v10f rom until there is a custom one ( hope we get LineageOS soon ).

I've managed somehow to brick my phone. Booting stops at "Decription Unsuccessful" screen. Reset phone will not work. Cannot access recovery. ADB says phone unauthorised. Any assistance greatly appreciated.
Are you able to get into EDL-Mode with pressed Power and Volume Down-Button?
Boot into TWRP recovery. Select "wipe". There, you should find a button to change partition system. Change the data system partition type from f2fs to ext4. Your phone should now boot succesfully.

You could now use the Axontool for instance and flashing "Fastboot, then (re)flashing roms, TWRP, et cetera. If you're able to connect via adb (to reboot the device), you should be able to follow the guides in this forum.
So I flashed the stock pie rom from this forum, came from pixel experience 9. After I flashed the ROM I also flashed the twrp installer and when I rebooted it says the system has been destroyed and press the power button to shut down. I can boot the phone in fastboot but it doesn't recognise it even though the drivers are installed and it worked perfectly before. The miflash program also doesn't recognise anything after I press refresh.
Is there anything I can do?

Thanks for the solution. Worked for me as well for similar problem. A simplified step by step if anyone still couldn't get it to work.
Power off your phone as asked by the Error Message
Press Volume Down + Power button simultaneously to boot into fastboot.
Load Command Prompt in the ADB/Fastboot folder in your PC (ADB and other drivers need to be installed)
Type "fastboot continue" and press enter
And you are done. If your phone is not recognized by the PC (after you put it to fastboot mode) make sure you have proper Drivers installed for your devices. You can use MiFlashTools to install required drivers automatically.
