[Q] How to check HDD health of Shield Pro 2017? - Shield Android TV Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I would like to know if there is any utility for Android that checks the health of Shield Pro 2017's internal hard disk. I searched for a Smartmontools port for Android, but I only found versions for Windows, Mac, Linux and BSD, but not for Android.
If this is not possible, could I connect my SHIELD to the computer and check the health with a tool? Which one?
Thanks in advance

Anyone?

Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 Pro install Windows 10

Hi there,
I own a Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 Pro LTE and wish very much to have Win10 on my device. For me it does not matter if it is dual-boot or single-partitioned, even if the last is prefered. Is there any chance to get that ? Someone has experience to it ? Sadly Google and forums search didnt gave me the results I wished for, maybe I just missed them. However I would appreciate any kind of help. I found some manuals on how to for the Tab 2, but still I would like some kind of feedback before I try on my own.
Basically I would start to create a bootable pendrive and plug it to my device and go through the standart install routine overwriting the full partition. I am just not sure if there is any kind of blockage, with which I'll mess up my device.
Alternatively I could connect my Lenovo device to my PC and change partition size, so that I get two partitions for dual-boot, boot with the pendrive and install than Win10 on the second partition.
What do you think ? Experience ? Suggestions and ideas ?
Thanks very much in advance.
I'd like to do this also but am concerned about destroying any Android system partitions which might block a full recovery in the event of disaster. Anybody recommend a utility to create a complete drive image before installing W10?
Hi
I found this
youtube. com/watch?v=vvw9CMMlDJ4
and this version of the tablet windows
youtube. com/watch?v=cb8Yt89g4Yw
Someone has done?
Kind regards
Those ChangemySoftware program is a fake. Forget that. Its just scam to make you participate in a survey.
The second video shows a device, in which the uefi allows a boot from usb, which the LT3P doesnt allow, sadly.
And thats where I am stucked. I want to boot from my pendrive, but the uefi boot menu does not accept usb devices. So I need a way around, which I couldnt find yet. Somehow an enforced usb boot from a custom recovery or from android itself. Anyone an idea ?
Any progress? I want to make double boot windows + android on my Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 Pro 10 LTE.
Some news ???
Yes please I would like to do this too with my rooted yoga tab 3 pro 4go ! To have dual boot on this must be soo cool.:good:
Uh, I have the bootable drive ready and connected. And I'm prepared for all the risks. But I just don't know how to instruct my tablet to boot from the flash drive.. someone please tell me if you know. Thanks

Can I run Linux distros on my Lenovo ThinkPad tablet?

Hi all, I brought a Lenovo ThinkPad tablet about a few years ago. But the device is getting old and it takes half minute or more to open applications such as Chrome Browser and Evernote etc.
I was trying to use multirom to install Linux distros on the device but multirom is not allowed me to install any Linux distros as it says the device is not compatible. So, I tried to upgrade my opeating system and I think Lenovo doesn't provide any upgrade of this device any more.
What you guys think about this? Can I make my tablet faster? Mainly, I would use my tablet to write articles or watch some Youtube videos in my free time. So, I just want to run most of applications or software smoothly without any lagging, that's why I am trying to put a lightweight Linux distros on my tablet. By the way. is it possible for you guys to give me the tutorials as well because it's not quite easy to find a tutorial about this topic. Thanks.
