Dear All,
By any chance is anyone know if it is possible to get dark notifications on LOS16 with and without being root?
There is a dark mode in there which turns (al)most all system into dark mode, however, notification area remains all white which is kind of annoying in a dark mode.
I am a bit new to LOS and Pie altogether, all I know is on my Xiaomi devices that area is dark too (probably thanks to MUI) and I cannot find a way to have them dark too so far.
Thanks in advance.

Hey Guys,
I have figured out how to get rid of the ugly green screen issues with 3rd party kernels for MIUI.
Goto Settings
Display Settings
Turn automatic brightness on
Adjust the slider until the screen is at the lowest (before it turns green)
Go into advanced mode
Turn on Use Custom under Light levels
Light level to dim - set to 10
This should fix all the issues with green screens!
I never had any green screen on miui, with official or neo/vorbeth/glitch kernels.
I was curious and tried what you posted above, and I can't do step 4
3. Turn automatic brightness on
4. Adjust the slider until the screen is at the lowest (before it turns green)
If auto brightness is set to "on", I can't slide..

That's odd, maybe the new versions fixed this problem. I guess coming over from cm7 if you have custom brightness it will turn to green with miui

it worked, thanks! my dim level was set to 5, changing it to 10 worked perfectly.
strange... never had this issue when i was on miui and that was yesterday.
i have the same problem, i went at a local repair store, and the guys overthere told me that the colour module is broken !!! anyone knows something about this???
they say that in my case i need to replace the screen in order to fix this issue... if anybody have other idea...
thanks in advance !

Hello everyone. I understand that some of my questions might already have solutions. I did do a search but the results I got were either irrelevant or no solution found across long threads.
1. Brightness
I noticed that the minimum brightness in Nougat is higher compared to that in Marshmallow. Before, I could barely see my screen in a bright room at 0% brightness and even in a dark room 0% was too dim. I would have to 10-15%. Now at 0% in a pitch black room, it still feels a bit too bright and my head hurts from it.
My question is: is there a way to lower the brightness further or is my nougat update buggy? Like perhaps for you guys, the lowest brightness is the same as in marshmallow.
2. People's edge.
The colors around the rings of my favourite contacts are gone. I found a thread that mentioned it but failed to see the solution. Is there a way to fix this?
3. My settings shortcuts (the one located on top of the settings menu in a 3 x 3 grid i believe) is gone. I cant seem to access it anymore. Did Samsung remove it?
4. Gallery app
My gallery background is white which doesnt look as good as the marshmallow version. Specially because its white whenever I tap a pic to bring the picture menu up while black when the menu isnt on. Thats really annoying as I spend a lot of time in my gallery.
Can I revert the gallery from nougat back to marshmallow?
5. Does samsung intend to deploy a bug fix or is this the final version?
I must apologize if any of my questions are silly or worse. I am not used to upgrading OS or even fixing bugs.
Thank you for reading my long post. I would give you a potato if I could! :3
Hi
The AOD seems to be bright in the morning but when it gets darker in evening it remains readable for only a few seconds and then dims down so badly that one cannot read anything on the AOD at night when there is pitch darkness.
I did set the brightness option in the AOD settings but that doesnt seem to help at all.
I'm not using Auto Brighness control also for the display.
Anyone else seeing this particularly at night?

Yes, in low light conditions the aod is to dim...in normal light conditions the aod is good!
Hope they fix it in an update!
Are you using any type of screen overlay?
Sent from my LG-H872 using Tapatalk
Yes i use Lux-Autobrightness, but deactivated the overlay-right. Otherwise some system animations wont work...like blur in the power off screen, also you cant install non playstore apps with some type of overlay active (android security-feature). But Lux is not the problem, aod is also to dim without lux! Aod simply sets the screen brightness to low in dark enviroments.
Went from Note 3 to Unlocked S8 and I rely a lot on the LED. The Note 3 was nice and bright. Not so on the S8. I cannot see if from across the room. Light flow does a good job of giving me the colors I want and I rooted the phone. So does anyone know how I can go in with a file manager and change the code to make the LED brighter? Thank you in advance!

I am at work and didn't have time to check my phone, but in accessibility settings on iPhone there is an option to make flash light blink when there is a notification. See if S8 has anything similar.
Hello, I installed LightFlow to control my Galaxy S8 led color.
What should I do to reset the colors of the led to the factory color and brightness ?
you have to uncheck Samsung root modus in light flow settings. That bring the LED back to original brightness...... at least that helped me.
Unfortunately, the S8 LED can only display very few colors correctly.

If I will make a hard reset of the phone, it will reset the led color ?

for sure! But it is a very rough solution
just uninstall light flow should bring back original settings
Hi there, My Mi 9t recently received a system update to the clock. Ever since the update, when the alarm is sounding, the display (which used to be white on black, dark theme set) is now white on light grey.
This looks horrible and I'm sure it was never intended to look this way.
Does anyone else have this problem? Is there a fix for it?
Hope someone can help.
Thanks
I bought this phone 3 days ago, and just today I set the alarm. I saw a grey screen too. I thought it was like that...
wich color was it?
On alarm settings there is an option to set the backgrownd automatic, white, dark.
Hi there, I'm glad someone else has the problem. Originally, when the alarm clock was ringing the display was (black on white, in light mode) ( white on black in dark mode). This problem is only when the alarm is ringing, all other screens are fine. It is still the same which ever mode you are in. Must be a bug !!
I have checked this and I'm also getting this grey color when alarm is ringing. So I believe it's a bug also.
Mi 9t Alarm bug
Hi there, thank you for checking. Does anyone have any idea of where the best place is to inform Xiaomi of this problem so we can hopefully get it fixed?
