I have no idea if any custom ROM (in any of the phone's variants' forums) work on the Rogers model (N900W8). Anyone get one working?
Thanks

Yes u are missing out, any model tgat has a number or letter after two 0's is goodm like n9005/n9009/n900w8 ect. Its same phones just different country.
DONOT flash n9000 or n900 u may brick your device these two have different chip cpu. N9000 is totaly different, n900 has 8 cors.
Ive been using Tmobile rom also tried n9005, most of them have wifi working but if not there are plenty of kernels that fixed it.
Its all early stage, but there are few features added, and I like custom kernels to be able to UV and lower frequency.
Make sure u do back up and dlin latest recovery which ever tipe u using, and dont flash n900 and n9000 .
need some help, im editing my build prop, i have an internation i9505 which is cool i am using the i9505g rom, which works very well but the model id is incorrectly i think it should be showing jfletuexx or something similar, im in the uk using a EE model 4g s4.
can anyone tell me the correct info
ro.product.model GT-19505 ( changed this myself removing the G)
ro.product.name jgedlteue --- This is the part which i think i need to update.
the goal is to have all the correct market apps showing and functiionaly so the phone is a 19505 again, but only to other apps.
thanks
ive actually managed to answer this myself by going ot the CM site and looking for the usual download.
its JFLTEXX
Hi all,
Been trying out a couple of different custom roms and somewhere along the lines the Model Number of my phone changed from N910G to N910F.
I'm now on the X-Note rom and I am wondering if there is anyway to switch the model number back to N910G? I tried asking on the X-note thread but it was ignored.

Flash a custom ROM that's based on n910g firmware or change model number in build prop it really doesn't matter model number as long as phone works with rom that's y you where ignored because you answered your own question u flashed n910f ROM that's y model number changed
I'm kind of wondering the same thing except I may be more noobish. Lol. I have a sm910t note 4 and I flash the maximum overdrive rom, my model number changed. I just wanna know, if I wanted to change the rom to something else, do I download a rom for what I know my real number is or was? Or do I look for one compatible to this new model number? Sry if it's a stupid question. This rom I'm currently using makes my phone think it's a note 5. I know that's the reason the model number changed, but please, all u android experts, help out bcuz I don't want to destroy my phone. Also since I flashed this rom, there a red text line saying something about kernel. What does that mean?

It will be because the rom you have currently flashed will be based on a firmware from the model it changed to. I currently have a note 7 custom rom on my note 4 n910f. My model has changed to n920f on about phone. If you change your rom again flash one for your original model.
As for the red txt does it say "kernel is not SEandroid enforcing"
Yes it does.

Hello guys, I just wanted to know if I can install a firmware of another region on my note 4
for example: Installing N910C firmware on N910U model number
Please help
It's impossible.
Are you serious?
It would be much better if people knew where to post threads like this...also I don't think you can do that.
Its not possible to flash between model numbers, however its possible to flash firmware from another region... As long as its the same model number.
I know you can flash C on H as long as you remove the modem file first.
I have come to understand there is very little support for the SM-S820L when looking for a custom ROM. Is there any ROM for a different model that would work on this device and not cause an error? Or is there any way to modify a ROM for a different model so it will work with the SM-S820L?
Im wondering about this too,i also have to SM-820L and havent been able to find notthing on it
