Does the Cricket variant of the S5 (SM-G900AZKZAIO) have an unlocked bootloader?
Yes it sure is unlocked. Just found this out 2days ago after owning the phone 6months:good:
I am looking for an LG V20 that I can unlock the bootloader and root the device. Which variant do you guys recommend? I am currently on ATT and would like to know if the ATT version can be unlocked and rooted. If not which one can I use for ATT and unlock it?

I think all the variants are currently on versions that have patched Dirty CoW. Up until recently, on T-Mobile, you could at least downgrade with a KDZ, but the latest version has anti-rollback.
I think the US996 might be your best bet. You won't have WiFi calling, but it at least has an official unlock, even if it can't be undone.
I'm new to a lot of this stuff. If you have unlocked att lg g6 phone by carrier code why can't you load any g6 rom on it. Or are there more specific chipsets

There's a difference between Sim unlocking (which is what you have; carrier unlocked Sim), and Bootloader unlocking (installing custom rooms; AOSP, etc). Unfortunately, the only G6's that can have Bootloader unlocking is the international version, but others like TMobile, I do believe have root access.. So for AT&T models, we're out of luck and it will probably not get a Bootloader unlocked but (((maybe))) in the future, we will have root.
Or would I be stuck with the verizon version?
i have a tmobile bought 6t, i rebranded it to intl. software, so im now bootloader unlocked, verything is good, im coming from samsung and iphone, so now my question is, im not rooted, just bootloader unlocked with intl software, is there a stable custom rom that is rooted already?
