Google Play store not working because you forgot this to install:
Google Account Manager
Google Services Framework
Google Play services
You can try this:

Good tutorial but I didn't do any of that to install MOD EDIT - Removed? Thought you found a workaround to get Google Play Store working....MOD EDIT - Removed is a great alternative to the Play Store though.
thanks for the tutorial
You are welcome... It's true that if you don't need apps that ask for google services you can jute use MOD EDIT - Removed app, but that will limit your app selection to almost half of google play store

Thats true, a lot of apps at least need the Google Services. So even though you can get them from MOD EDIT - Removed they wouldn't work. Good point.

Yep that's very true. A lot of apps require at least the google services. So even though you can get them from MOD EDIT - Removed...they wouldn't work without installing those google apps. Good point.
Hello inwisso,
Thanks for your Great tutorial and for the workaround to get the Google Play Store working on the Fire Phones !
However I have noticed that if I install the "Google Play Service" from the 3er link:
http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google...ices-8-1-14-2244331-030-android-apk-download/
Although the newest APPs from Google, like:
YouTube v10.37.58
Google-Drive v2.3.283.31.34
Are now working flawlessly, some streaming APPs stopped working, and also sometime the FireTV freezes and also Crashes...
Apparently the version of "Google Play Services" of the 3rd link, is affecting in some way the smooth work and the normal functionality of the FireTV units ... Use with caution !
So, I was forced to use only the 4 Google APPs from the 1st link, and I have decided not to update the "Google Play Service" to a newer version:
https://onedrive.live.com/?cid=73036323a69e3cf1&id=73036323A69E3CF1!1484&authkey=!AIVXLFXAOWDeM0Q
Does Anyone here has experienced the same strange behaviors on their FireTV, or has tested any of the following latest versions:
Google Play Store_5.9.12 Released September 15, 2015)
Google Play services_8.1.15 (Released September 15, 2015)
Google Play services 8.1.18 (Released September 26, 2015)
Thanks, if you guys find a better performing "google play services" version I can update the link.
Are you using fire tv or fire tv stick ?
Inwisso, I'll try to test various versions of the "Google Play Services" APP, and let you know what works best ...
However, as the new YouTube and Google-Drive APPs requires the latest version of "Google Play Services ", I doubt that these two are going to work.

For YouTube viewing there's always the "YouTube for Android TV" app.
Can't login, but it works well enough, I find v1.0.5.5 works best as the latest v1.1.16 crashes on the Fire TV Stick.
http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/youtube-for-android-tv/youtube-1-0-5-5-android-apk-download/
As I said before, it is that apps like YouTube and Google Drive, that have been updated most recently, all need to run the latest version of "Google Play Service," but unfortunately when installed then affects others FireTV APPs, that worked well before.
Hopefully with the NEW upcoming FireOS -5 "Bellini", that will be released in October 5 to all the FireTV Models, and that is based on Android 5.1 Lollipop (API level 22), we could then have more compatibility with all newer APPs.

https://developer.amazon.com/public...re-tv/docs/device-and-platform-specifications
Who knows, maybe we could also install some new APPs Exclusive for Android-TV and launchers, as the "Android-TV Leanback Launcher":
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.leanbacklauncher
http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google...-launcher-1-1-2-1994870-android-apk-download/
So then we have to wait to October 5, to see what it is and how this FireOS-5 "Bellini" works.
I really hope Amazon has been able to do an excellent job with this new version of the FireOS-5, and that they will come with some new things and fixes !!

Thank you for the tutorial. I tried it but I can never get Google Play to connect.
This is my second stick. I returned my previous stick and got the Google Nexus.
I won this one and thought I would give it it a try. Maybe there was a patch between the posting and Dec 2nd.
I also had the stick lock up and had to unplug it and let it reboot.
Can someone who has Google Play store working on Fire TV/Stick confirm if Vudu app works or not?
Thanks!
Would this work on fire tv 2?

Yes I have similar issues. I have Fire TV BOX and I just side load connecting the box to my PC over Ethernet. No problems there I can get the files over.
The problem is that some programs work fine with Google Chrome to browse the web which is really cool...
but.....
On a lot of apps like "Vice" / Viceland TV, it boots up then says something like "your version of Google Play Services is not compatible please uninstall it" So anyway I can get the latest Google Play Services .apk but look there are 28 VARIANTS! http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/google-play-services/google-play-services-9-8-77-release/
How do I know which variant I have on my FireTV BOX of Android that the Amazon front end is running on?
Is there just a simple Google Play Store and Google Play Services I can download once and it will auto-update?
Thanks
I have tried with no success installing Google Play services and Google Play store on my FireTV BOX.
FireTV BOX version Fire OS 5.2.1.1 and I have no problem getting the apk's to my device by side-loading over Ethernet using adbLink and adbLink works find for all other app, so it must be either I need to be rooted or I have the wrong Google Play Store and Google Play Service .apk's
Can anyone help me one this with my FireTV BOX version to get Google Play Services and Google Play store on my device so I can run apps which require Google Play Services?
Thanks
I wonder have any of you ever thought to disable the "Not In My Home" (com.amazon.tv.nimh.apk) service? I gather it's a fairly new (Firmware 5.2.1.1), thing. In case you haven't worked out what this does it basically blocks (from Amazon's POV), unwanted Apps.
Now I'll confess to not having bothered to do my Homework in this, myself. There seems to be little hope that this is the one thing keeping Google Play Services, and by proxy the PlayStore off the Fire TV2, but I haven't seen anything that dismisses it either.
But, the idea that One could in theory, at least side load the Leanback Frameworks onto such a Device, has at least given me some hope that I might be able to get it working on some Chinese Box. One of these days.
I suppose, a better question to ask here, considering I still a noob to this AFTV2 Box; Would be did either of Google's Services / PlayStore, even ever work on the AFTV2?
someone has managed to fix it? i had an apk called mega tv player runing perfect until yesterday that my fire stick was factory reseted by mistake, now i can't load the app or any other apk that ask for google play services.
MOD EDIT - Removed has older apks of apps if you need them (currently a reliable site, but don't blame me once they start distributing rootkits.. ) - also, there are at least two methods out there to patch play service dependencies "out of" apps I know of.
Google and find out.
This thread is rife with warez haunts, and it's not even Halloween!
Thread closed until OP releases a new video/or prepares instructions that does not have warez as an option.
Thank you.

Lack of google play in ZTE Market

hello after reset the phone I noticed that there is no google play store in zte market, so i had to install it on my own from web sources. what is curious google play services were already preinstalled on the phone, as well as installing Play Store was like updating it, but without it the app coudln't be found anywhere on the phone
so any idea what happened to Google Play, and if it is safe to install it from web sorcues, this time it was xda-dev.

im afraid there is no Play Store there, in any of the categories

Pick the right version
It was there before. Since I took new updates of zte market, it isn't there. Not any of Gapps. I used to always install it from there.

Lol it's obviously safe as long as it's APKMirror or xda labs, or places like that.
When I used MiFavor 5 for the first time there was a version of Play Services installed there, but you had to go to Apps and enable it. Also GApps didn't help at all.

@ BurakSefaSenturk, the Google Play app can not be deleted, so you can try to back up and return to factory reset. If you want to download this APP, the office website would be the better choice.

Yes you can delete the Google Play app if you are rooted. You can delete any app if you are rooted, even the calculator, clock...

Problem to install Play store on two separate android accounts on one fire 8 HD

Hello,
I installed Google play store on a fire 8HD kids edition according to this guide:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/am...-install-google-play-store-fire-t3486603/amp/
Everything worked great.
Now I created another adult account on the same tablet.
This means there is a parallel new android account (2) on the tablet which already has Google play installation in a different account (1)
Installing 1. Google Account Manager 5.1-1743759 &
2. Google Services Framework 5.1-1743759
http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google
Worked fine in the second account, but:
3. Google Play Services 11.5.09 (240-164803921)
https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google...-apk-download/ and
4. Google Play Store 8.3.41.U-all [0] [FP] 170066753
https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google...-apk-download/
Stop with the error "app not installed".
The play store in the first account is working nicely.
Any hints how to get Google play store on both accounts?
Thanks for your help!

Correct no known fix, that I have seen.
Jesus. Hours of looking for this issue and this it it? A brick wall? This blows.
I had the same problem and find out it was because after installing all the APKs on the main profile, by the time I went to install in to the secondary (or Kid) profile, the "Google Play Services" got updated to the latest version (even with auto-update off).
And apparently you cannot have two different GPS APKs on the same tablet even if in two different profiles, so I used "Apk Extractor Lite" to create the package (instead of going to APK Mirror or the likes... you I am an computer engineer therefore I am lazy) and install it on the secondary (or Kid) profile.
The problem and solution is illustrated also here: --- uhoh ... cannot post link... will update later when I can

Google Services Versions to Use

Hi,
I have had a Fire 10 for a few weeks and installed Google Play etc. I assume that once installed they would get updated automatically in the background. I have noticed that Play Services and Play Store are on 11.9.51 and 8.5.39 respectively but Google Account Manager Services Framework are still on 5.1-1743759. Is there a reason for this and if I can advance them on which version should I go for?

Google Play Store Alternative !

Anyone know of a good google play store alternative or a play store mod that does not require Play Services "the battery eatter"
Play Services is not eating any battery.
However you can use something like Aptoide if you like.

F-droid is like playstore without Google.
You can also try the Yalp Store to download YOUR paid Google apps using YOUR own account. Yalp store is available in F-Droid.
lineage os micro-g for athene. absolutely google free!! just do a google search(the pun) for it and get rid of google!!!
