Hardware: SM-G900F (klte/Galaxy S5)
ROM: Unofficial Resurrection Remix
Hello,
I used this custom ROM for several months and suddenly, a few seconds after activating the mobile data the system UI (note the complete phone!) crashs, restarts and crashs again. I only could break out the loop by disabling the mobile data. Wifi and calls are working without problems. Sometimes it shows "no SIM card" under the icon of mobile data after the restart, but it crahs again.
First I thought it's a hardware error, but after reset of system data it works also with mobile data. When I restore my backup, the error came back.
I would simply reset my system data and everything is fine, but then all my data will be lost. For transfering data to this phone I used Titanium Backup and it works, but since this error occurs, Titanium Backup crashs also.
Does somebody have an idea what I can do to solve this problem without loosing my data? Thanks
Same problem here !
The only option is completely wipe the phone and install everything again (which is really annoying).
I used matlog to get a logfile if someone want to investigate this.

Here's the problem.
I've flashed Miui 2.1.20 multilang, on the first day everything was fine, then suddenly, while downloading an app my data went down. I mean only my data, I had network for calling and everything.
So I tried to reset to factory, and I had an empy phone, with MIUI obviously, but it still didn't work.
So before restoring the backup, I've flashed Cyano, samee problem.
I restored the custom rom with no better results and i've then factory reset it once more.
And here I am, without any data connection.
I've tried to call my mobile operator(TIM) to reset the APN connections, but it says that service is unavailable, but it seems that it is unavailable for me only, everyone's else works just fine. It's not the IMEI, i've already checked, and I've tried to manually set the APN, still nothing.
Does anybody have a clue of what happened?
Have you tried 2.3.5 official?
Yes, I'm using that atm but I still have no data.
Started with OMNI shown on galaxynote2root.com. Was working nearly flawlessly until today when I lost my mobile network (all services: phone, text, data - antenna was essentially gone). Not clear on exactly what I did when it occurred but I did flash 1/13/14 nightly manually via CWM (have done this with the previous nightly's without any problems). Tried wiping cache/data, Dalvik w/o luck. Tried formatting my internal SD also w/o luck. Doing a fresh install (as opposed to restore) did restore all mobile network services but of course I am now having to re-setup my phone. After installing fresh install, tried restoring w/o any wipe - again no luck.
Quite frustrating. I had read something out there that talked about remapping the tree (not sure what this means). In any case, is there a fix for this so I can restore my prior backups with mobile services working and also avoid this the future?
So here we go again; no service after wipe. Grrrrrrrr!!

So here we go again. Went to load the stock Sprint TouchWiz ROM. Wiped cache partition, wiped Dalvik, and did stand wipe cache/data. Had some issue with the stock ROM flashing so I went ahead and loaded my backup I just made of my newly setup OMNI ROM. And once again no network service what so ever. I really enjoy this ROM but it's thinks like this that push me back to the most supported ROM for my phone, the TouchWiz ROM. It's like I'm being held hostage to this Omni ROM in the sense that it appears that should I want do any wipe of any sorts or anything to that effect I'm essentially screwed and might as well just flash the the original ROM all over again.
There's got to be one of you Dev's out there that knows why this is happened and can let me know if there is a fix for this that will allow me to keep my setup as is. Someone who's knows, please response. If you need more info, please ask. I'm about to ditch this ROM over this issue. Otherwise, nearly flawless use of the ROM until this point.
Okay, so I was able to find a fix for this problem. After the complete wipe as described in my second post, I restored my recent backup. As mentioned above, no mobile service whatsoever at that pont. I then restarted back into CWM recovery and flashed the same version nightly as that of my backup and it appeared to do an update. I was then able to boot back into my restored backup with everything intact and all mobile services working.
Yes, I found a fix for myself but Devs why the heck do I have to go through that? Why cannot I not simply restore my backup and go on with life? Much headache over the past day or so over this.
So I installed the the 1/13/14 nightly as a fresh install. I stared messing around with advanced restore. When I restore only the /system folder that is when I lose all mobile cell services.
Phone is huawei u8800. aurorasp was in it.
I had a problem. It was restarting before turning on. I tried a lot of things but could not manage to solve. SO i wiped data from cwm and installed aurorasp+ and restored backup. Again it went into restart mode. I made advanced restore and restoreonly data, but again same restartinng trouble.
Before restoring data, the phone is working, no restarting.
I want to take this data. How can i take data, for example contacts, app datas?
WAiting help.
I solved. I used titaninum backup pro and installedf most app+data but forexample my desktop app icons, my settings for brightness , etc was not restored but it is good.
I tried a new rom (http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...galaxy-s5-stock-rom-final-fast-clean-t2888215) for the first time and it wouldn't work properly (no mobile connection, menu and back buttons didn't work, etc.)
When I restored my backup, I did it like I always did on my last phone: wipe data/cache/davlik cache, restore backup, reboot.
I can't get past multiple notifications that process.google.gapps (might not be exactly what it said) has stopped, and I can't do anything but pull my battery and try another ROM.
I recently switched from AOSPA after not being particularly impressed and went back to oxygen. However, after attempting to send a message I was unable to send one and noticed that I also am unable to receive. Phone calls and cellular data seems to work perfectly. I have flashed the proper firmware and reflashed the OS several times, but for no avail. I've also tried to clear cache l, but still no luck. I haven't been able to test the SIM card on another phone yet, but as the problem started as I switched OS I doubt that the problem lies there.
Some weird things I've noticed:
- Both Facebook and Google Messenger refuse to even attempt at sending a message, whereas textra pretends nothing is wrong
- In gsam battery monitor the phone line is greyed out
- Right after boot a message saying there is no service appears, but disappears fairly quickly.
Thanks in advance!
And this is after clean flash? Also without trying to restore any data using Titanium backup or other?
Clean flash, but I did use titanium backup. Guess that could be the cause. Seems like I'll have to do another clean flash anyway.
