Hello everyone.
Last night my phone suddenly restarted itself, and when it did got stuck in boot loop. I cannot seem to get it to boot into recovery, even after letting the battery drain completely, but I can boot it into download mode. I have tried to use Odin3_v3.13.1_3B_PatcheD and the carrier firmware acquired here to fix the issue, but Odin fails to patch, giving this message

youre getting an auth error which means that you might be trying to flash firmware built for a different phone on it, even a differing carriers firmware will cause this, heck even trying to flash unbranded firmware on a phone that was originally branded to a carrier will cause this. What phone (exact model number/w carrier and/or firmware version its currently on) do you have and what are you trying to flash?
also, very similar issue found here by googling this term. Go ahead and click me. You know you want to.
You downloaded the wrong firmware.
These are info from filename for Android Q firmware for SM-G975U TMB:
G975USQU2CSKP
CL17369568
QB27584545
REV00
None of the filename in your odin screenshot matched, you DL'ed a wrong firmware.
Just use Frija to download your correct files, use SM-G975U for model and TMB for CSC.

Hello, thank you for your input, unfortunately I've also tried to use the firmware provided by Frija
and it returns the same error. I'm at a bit of a loss at this point.

Here are the instructions from Sammobile.
Extract the firmware file you just downloaded. You should get 5 files:
AP (System &Recovery)
BL (Bootloader)
CP (Modem / Radio)
CSC_*** (Country / Region / Operator)
HOME_CSC_*** (Country / Region / Operator)
Add each file to its respective field in Odin v3.14.1. Use CSC_*** if you want to do a clean flash or HOME_CSC_*** if you want to keep your apps and data.
Reboot your phone in Download / Odin mode (make sure your device is off) with the following button combo: POWER + VOLUME DOWN + BIXBY
Other options in case first option did not work or isn't possible.
Option 2 VOLUME DOWN + VOLUME UP then USB cable
Option 3 POWER + VOLUME DOWN + VOLUME UP
Option 4 POWER + VOLUME DOWN + HOME BUTTON
Option 5 (Note9) USB cable + VOLUME DOWN + BIXBY
Option 6 (Note10) POWER + VOLUME UP
Once in download mode, connect your phone to the PC, preferably using the original USB cable you got with your phone. Odin should detect your device and a BLUE box will show up with the COM port number. (Be sure, the SAMSUNG-drivers are installed on your PC!)
Do NOT tick any extra boxes. The only options to be ticked are F.Reset Time and Auto-Reboot.
Click the start button, wait for Odin to say 'PASS' in a GREEN box. Once the flash is complete, your phone will reboot, and you can disconnect your phone from the PC.

Do following: start Odin on your PC.
Open the windows taskmanager and stop all Kies processes.
In Odin, select BL and put only the BL...NA5.tar.md5 in.
untick Autoreboot
Now power off your phone completely.
Now start into Download mode by holding Vol- Home and Powerbutton.
Once in download mode, connect your phone with your PC.
When Odin Shows "added" press Start.
Wait about 2 minutes until Odin shows PASS.
Remove the phone from PC and hold the power button until the phone reboots.
Now you should have network.
If not I suggest, flash another custom ROM. It has to be 4.4.2 NA5 base. Flash it in custom recovery.
If nothing of this works, ask your provider if there are some problems.
I hope i could help.
Any chance your phone is barred?

My tmobile galaxy s7 got stuck on something like bbl error and in the center of the screen the android logo and the sbl error and upload mode nothing else not able to get on download mode or recovery mode totally stuck need help odin not able to flash anything none of the latest firmware nothing,..
Ehat i did was i flash with odin a verizon firmware or something like fof6 combo firmware with the latest tmobile firmware found on androidfilehost.
My phone is now bricked or what i call softbricked i need any kind of help on how to flash or a tool to forcely flash something to unbrick and be able to restore stock firmware any nice developer please help i still paying this s7 and i really want to revive my phone any help will be greatly appreciated?
I'm no expert by any means, just a dude that was in the same position a few weeks ago.
First you'll want to get ODIN, which is your flashing tool:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=3804544&d=1467772303
Next you need to find the stock firmware. Lots of sites will have it but 99% of them use some kind of bandwidth throttling crap. The firmware is 4.5gb uncompressed and about 2gb compressed. So if you can find someone hosting the firmware on their Google Drive that's your fastest bet, otherwise it'll take hours or days to download.
The latest firmware at the time of this post is G935TUVU4APIA. You don't necessarily need the latest, you just need to get your phone restored. If there is newer firmware available than what you flash to your phone, when your phone successfully boots you'll get an update to the latest.
Wish I could find a direct link for you but it seems these will always be moving around. That being said search for TMB-G935TUVU4APIA-20160927113301.zip. That was the file I downloaded and it contained the 5 files listed below, which you should extract to your preferred location on your PC:
AP_G935TUVU3APG1_CL8439036_QB10213096_REV02_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar.md5
BL_G935TUVU3APG1_CL8439036_QB10213096_REV02_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar.md5
CP_G935TUVU3APG1_CL8439036_QB10213096_REV02_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar.md5
CSC_TMB_G935TTMB3APG1_CL8439036_QB10213096_REV02_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar.md5
HOME_CSC_TMB_G935TTMB3APG1_CL8439036_QB10213096_REV02_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar.md5 (optional)
The first 4 of the 5 listed above are the important ones. The 5th file, "HOME_CSC...", from what I understand preserves your data should you need to flash over a working phone, but we'll ignore that file for this task. Note the "AP", "BL", "CP", etc., at the beginning of each filename - more on that shortly.
Finally, the home stretch.
* Power off your phone completely. If you're boot looping hold VOL DOWN and POWER.
* Boot into recovery mode by pressing and holding VOL DOWN, HOME and POWER at the same time. Release when you see recovery mode warning.
* Connect your phone to your PC.
* Open ODIN and make sure the phone is recognized. It will show up under ID:COM and have some assigned COM port like 9 or 10.
* Click on the BL button and select the BL_G935TUVU3APG1_CL8439036_QB10213096_REV02_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar.md5 file from your extracted firmware package.
* Repeat this process for AP, CP, and CSC files.
* Once all files are selected click START.
After some time your phone will be flashed with the stock firmware and everything should be back to the way it was when you purchased it. Hope that helps!
---------- Post added at 11:26 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:20 PM ----------
Sorry man, I can't read! Missed the part where you said you already tried ODIN.
You may want to do a factory reset first before flashing. I think you hold VOL UP, HOME and POWER to get there. Follow the steps to do a factory reset. Then try ODIN again with stock T-Mobile firmware.
tmobile s7 upload mode
the problem here is when I press vol up or vol down it goes straight to this
sbl error upload mode
and Odin detects as download mode but cant not flash anything I do have the latest firmware.

Sorry my friend, wish I could help here. It looks like your bootloader is jacked. Did you mean "sbl" instead "bbl" error? I think that's the secondary bootloader. And from the file you linked it appears you flashed the Galaxy S7 "flat" (G930T) firmware onto your Galaxy S7 Edge (G935T). Never thought that would be a brickable operation but apparently so. Unless someone's dealt with this before your only option may be to return the phone and see if they can either reflash it with some other proprietary tool or exchange it. I don't know how to push the stock boot.bin and sbl.bin onto these phones but maybe someone here does.
tmobile s7 upload mode
yes sir is a flat version of the s7
and what you are saying is correct.
well I will sit and wait for something to come up wit a light thanks...
well I think I fried thos device just gonna sit and wait for a developer to find some source of code to reboot this thing
does anyone knows how to fix this problem " SBL error upload mode " ? please........... thanks
Hi all
I've just received my Samsung Galaxy S7 (SM-G930F) with firmware version:
G930FXXU1APGJ
Which, as far as I know, is a taiwanese firmware. This would make sense, because I'm in Madrid (Spain) but I bought the S7 via eBay from a seller in Hong Kong.
My phone works well when connected to a WiFi network, but its behaviour is strange when I connect to my voice/data plan (Movistar). Although I can use the browser, things like Gmail, Google Play and WhatsApp work in a strange way: I can't send videos or pictures, Google Play doesn't even connect to the account (the screen goes blank) and Gmail doesn't send emails.
I've discovered this firmware might be the problem with my phone, and I probably should use the Spanish firmware. After reading the forums I've search in SamMobile and I'm downloading this one:
G930FXXU1BPKD
Which seems to be the right one for Spain (Movistar) (there's also a little code, 'XEC', but I don't know what that means).
I'd like to know if I'm right. If so, the instructions to install the firmware are as follow according to that page:
***
Flashing guide:
1. Download and extract a zip file containing your desired firmware.
2. Open Odin Tool.
3. Boot your device in the "Download Mode":
Press Volume Down, Power and Home buttons at same time for 5-8 seconds until download mode is active.
4. Connect your device to PC via the USB cable while in download mode.
5. Next, check the "Auto Reboot" and "F. Reset Time" options in Odin Tool.
6. Hit the AP/PDA button then browse and select a tar.md5 file from the extracted folder.
7. Finally press the start button to begin flashing the firmware update on your device.
********
But I wonder if someone could confirm if this is OK. I'm not sure if my S7 has to be rooted first to do this. I have not rooted it yet, but I've seen it's possible to do it (quite easily, i think?).
Thanks!
That's it you've nailed it.

I'd flash the PHE version instead of the XEC
PHE is for Spain and not connected to any company
For Spanish info you could also have a look at

Good to know, thanks! Downloading that one right now from this thread at HTCMania
Oh my god. After starting the process in Odin it has stopped in 1 second (succeed: 0 / Failed: 1) and the S7 screen shows the little white progress bar just started and the message "Do not turn off target".
I have quitted Odin, but I have not done anything to the Galaxy S7. It's still connected and showing that info. What should I do?
Could I have bricked the phone!?!? :/
Fortunately everythings ok... except I've been unable to update the firmware. After that first try, I have observed that there is something that I'm doing wrong.
1. I put the S7 in download mode
2. I launch Odin and connect the S7, it says "Added" and the blue button with "O:[COM3]" appears in Odin's window.
3. I add BL, AP, CP, and CSC from the uncompressed firmware I've downloaded twice (I've found them also at Updato, fast download)
4. I see that the only options checked are "Auto Reboot" and "F. Reset Time". The "Re-Partition" option IS NOT CHECKED.
5. I push Start and it fails inmediately: it says re-partition has failed. How is that possible it that option was unchecked?

I've also factory reset the phone, enabled USB Debugging and OEM options under Developer Options, then accessed Recovery Mode, wiped data/factory reset and wiped cache, and then I have gone to Download Mode to try again. Nothing.
What can I do to update my S7 and install the Spanish firmware if everytime the re-partition error makes it impossible?

Have you solved the problem? I have exactly the same chase; galaxy s7 Hong Kong (ofertitas jejeje), error when send images on whatsapp...
A month or two ago my Note 4 notified me of a software update being available. I told it to go ahead and install. Once it was looking like it was done and went to reboot itself, I ended up getting a screen that said "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again." I called Samsung for support and after troubleshooting they told me to take the phone to the Samsung kiosk at my local Best Buy. The employees there were unable to fix it. I contacted Samsung again and they said they could reflash the firmware for a fee of $70.13 which I was willing to pay since I love my Note 4. I sent the phone in with the battery per instructions, waited for repair, and when the phone came back it was not fixed. Included was a message saying it was beyond economical repair. How did they know how much I am willing to spend to fix my phone? Also they did not return my battery. I contacted Samsung and They DID end up sending me a battery, but told me they could not fix my phone since it had been rooted. I know for SURE it had not because I bought the phone BRAND NEW. Now I am stuck with a phone that will only turn on to an error screen and don't know what to do.
This is what appears on the screen.

Just download the specific firmware from sammobile and flash it via odin.
The first line says, 'odin mode', that means it will be detected in download mode.

Flashbtge revovery firmware from this thread.
Read the instructions carefully.
Reporting Via N910G.
I'm 910C version...
I can flash twrp with Odin and custom rom with twrp....But I can't flash official firmware with Odin..
I can't even get it to turn on now.
Hello everyone,
Hope you're having a nice day,
So I Factory Reset my SM-J530F.
When I enter from scratch, it says that I have to write my previous Google Account that was synced to the phone, which I completely forgot.
So I try these FRP bypass methods on YouTube.
Basically these are the steps I followed:
1) Turn off my phone
2) Access the Download mode
3) Sync my phone with my computer
4) Odin: I'd already downloaded the COMBINATION_FAC_FA70 MD5 file (for my model), and this 4-file patch that included the AP, BL, CP, CSC_OLB files (Which I later noticed that they had J530YDXU1AQ written on their descriptions instead of J530FXXU1AQ which is my model, but I thought that it's not too important)
5) I flash with the COMBINATION file. It succeeds.
6) Phone goes to Factory Binary mode.
7) I go to Settings, then Developer Options and I enable OEM Unlocking.
8) Switch off the phone, then back to Download mode
9) Now, I try to flash with the AP, BL, CP, CSC files... and it FAILS. I forgot what it exactly said in the Log since I closed the Odin window, but something about Secure fail : Bootloader.
Now, what I meant by "sabotaging" is that I attempted this so many times, but no results. To the point where I can no longer reboot my phone to its normal "Welcome, choose a language" interface since it's now stuck in Factory/Binary mode.
I noticed one more thing: the OEM Unlocking enable/disable button is sort of freezed (I can't either enable or disable)

I apologize if this was too much details. I'm clueless whether I completely damaged my phone and there is no chance to take it back to its normal state. What do I do? Any options to just repair it from scratch and also bypass the FRP Google Account while I'm at it?

It's stuck in the Factory Binary mode.
I restart the phone, and it goes there.
Factory binary mode?

This is my model: J530FXXU1AQE5
I searched the whole net for its firmware but I only find the COMBINATION file.
If you know somewhere where I can find it, would really appreciate the help.
