Phone isn't opening - Xiaomi Mi A1 Questions & Answers

Hey guys, i have a problem. I didn't use my Mi A1 for two weeks. Today i tried to open it, but i can't. Power button does nothing. When i plug it to charge, it shows "mi unlocked" screen. And after that shows battery battery percentage for a second, and the screen goes off. Power button is not responding. When i unplug the charge cable, again it shows battery percentage for a second, and the screen goes off again. I connected it to my PC, but it doesn't see it. What should i do?

Probably drained battery

Is my phone dead?

Noticed my E900 was unexpectedly powered off. Tried to switch on and got the LG logo for 3-4 seconds, then... nothing. Seems to power off. Failed to boot?
Subsequently, power button did nothnig. After removing/replacing battery and powering on, I get the same LG logo for a few seconds, then nothing.
The LG logo tells me it isn't a dead screen. Connected to PC/Zune and nothing seen.
Are there any button combinations to do a reset?
I have ordered a new battery, but I think that's unlikely to help.
Any thoughts?
Thanks.
Mark
I had already tried charging the phone of course, and had left it plugged in for several hours. No change, still as dead as ever.
But later I connected to a PC. No sign of life from there, but I happened to leave it connected. An hour or so later I noticed it was displaying the almost-full-screen picture of a battery, with a small fraction of green at the bottom.
So it seems the battery had been totally drained to the point it was (almost) unrecoverable. Perhaps it was the low-current trickle from USB that got it going again.
Back up and running now. Glad I didn't panic and buy a new phone!

is it a brick?

Galaxy S4 GT-i9505, all stock, no custom roms, no rooting. With battery at approximately 15% phone died. First thought: battery dead. But phone not charging at all. Current problem: Sim+SD removed, insert battery, phone shows logo for 1 second, then dies, tried rebooting but nothing happens. Battery removed, after inserting WITHOUT pressing power button the same: logo 1 second and dies. Battery removed again, insert tried entering recovery mode, phone shows logo and blue letters "recovery booting" but after 1 second dies. When connecting charger nothing at all happens, no power up no logo nothing. Any thoughts? Searched forum but found no solution.
Sounds to me like the battery is completely dead. Try leaving it on the charger for a while? Try another battery?
It's the power button. It's stuck, that's why the phone turns off after 1 second and why it turns on when plugging it in.
Try to wiggle the button unstuck. You can soflty hit it with your finger.
If all else fails take it to have it checked and repaired. But I'm 90% sure it is the button. Had a similar problem on another S4.
Tried another battery. Nothing. When connected to charger also no red light to indicate charging of the battery. And no booting when charger connected.
if you have a multimeter, you could test the board connections on the power button.
1st. replace the battery.
Also not boot......??
Then Flash bootloader and fresh Firmware
Good Luck??

Weird behavior when charging while powered off.

Hi
Suddenly when powered off, I saw that when I plug in the charger, the battery icon pops up in the middle (as expected) the charging icon comes and that's it. It just shows a empty battery with a lightning icon. The weird part here is that i'm unable to turn the phone on the normal way and if I unplug the charger (even for minutes) the empty battery icon stays on and still can't turn on.
The only way to turn the phone on is home+power+vol down and when in download mode, choose cancel then restart.
I'm rooted on a custom rom, but haven't really changed anything.. Tried formatting and reinstalling everything.. Not seem to fix it.
Any ideas?
No problems on mine. Turned it off, plugged it in, got the battery icon with the percent of charge and three dots moving up from the bottom of the screen to the battery image. Pressed the power button for a couple of seconds, and it powered up like normal. I'd raise it with your ROM developer.

Sudden shutdown,Power on only when plugged to Charger(80% battery). Powr button Stuck

Suddenly one day,When I switched on Mobile data, My display went and not responding even after trying all the key combination(Power button+volume Key,etc). But when I plugged to charger, suddenly the battery display came and later booted normally. Charge was showing 80%. After that frequently it showed this issue. I thought it was battery calibration issue and drained battery and make it 100% 4-5 times. Then I formatted/factory reset it once. But still the problem is there. If I connected turbo charger,To become 2% it was taking more than 30 minute, That too when I unplugged and plugged again only it was increasing to 3%.
Also some times when we press power button, display will not go off. We need to click 2-3 times to make display off. Also when press to unlock the phone,it will not come other than we press suddenly with some pressure.
Recently I Changed display of my mobile due to a issue like display was flickering with we move and only one fourth of display was visible on screen. Please help me in this.
seems like a water/fog or mechanical damage

Battery is fully discharged and doesn't charging - only access is to Fastboot

Hello,
I wasn't using my Moto X Style for some time. I've took it yesterday, and it has a problem with loading.
Battery is fully discharged. I can't turn on my phone.
When I plug phone to charger (I've tried 4 different charges, with different cables), screen is blinking - white screen with battery icon on it. It's showing for around 1-3 seconds, turn off, and again. I left it for whole night, but it doesn't help. Still nothing.
I can get into Fastboot. When I choose any option like Start / Reset Bootloader/ Recovery Mode etc. is showing white screen with Moto logo, than turn off and screen is black, after that I can't get into Fastboot mode, I need to unplug and plug cable again.
I've noticed, that when I get first time in Fastboot mode, I saw red information "Battery is low". Now, after my trying to turn on the phone, there is green information "Battery is OK"
When I left telephone in Fastboot mode, it restart after some seconds, and start blinking with white screen and battery icon.
Any ideas how to turn it on?
I saw in internet one option, to disassembly phone, cut USB cable, and put (+) and (-) wires directly to battery to load it. What do You think?
It sounds like your battery may be completely shot. Battery replacement may be your only option.

Click to collapse
I'm thinking, that You are right
I'll replace battery
Thank You
Almost sure your battery is dead, or in a weird case it may be disconnected
I got an used X Style that wasn't turning on at all and it did the same things you described, i popped out the back cover and saw that indeed the battery was disconnected, after putting the connector in place it booted up normally (btw, the battery didn't last too long, it couldn't last more than 20 min and would turn off, so yeah you should change it for better)
