I bought the LG Spirit H440n a while ago for my dad. It worked for a short while but was not in use for some years, after it had some issues - I never found out which.
Now, after trying to get TWRP on it and maybe LOS I couldn't proceed: NOTHING WORKS!
If I start it, there's always the start screen with the LG logo / LIfe's good / Powered by android.
There it is stuck...
If I start in Download Mode there is this:
Loading...
Press the Volum Up key untill you see the download screen
ERROR : boot certification verify
------------------------------------------------
[940] Secure booting Error!
[940] Cause: boot certification verify
---------------------------------------------------
Click to collapse
Sadly, I don't come far with fastboot either ("list of devices attached" stays empty).
.,..and if I do the factory reset there is the icon of the dead android robot with a red warning triangle with an exclamation mark in it and its stomach is open.
Any ideas what I could do?

Hello everybody,
I'm having a problem : after failing to flash a rom with cmw on my F320S, i got stuck in bootloop : when i turn it on, i only have the LG logo with LED on. I can go to download mode, but then the phone isn't recognized anymore by my pc.
So i tried everything i could from this forum :
- with LG mobile support tool (from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476) : it says "upgrade is stopped because of an error". The phone is plugged with LG logo on, and as i said before if i go to download mode it keeps telling me to plug the phone.
- with flashtool v1.5 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2475045) : if i plug the phone and turn it on, it asks me to go to download mode. But then the phone isn't recognized, and it says "download failed".
- with lg mobile support tool (the official one), it says my phone is up to date, and if i try the recovery after error option, the download never starts (i left it all night long).
I also tried to reinstall the drivers, with no effect.
As i said i'm on F320S, so all i have for startup is normal boot (stuck on LG logo), download mode (not recognized by computer), and if i push all 3 buttons a strange korean menu (google translation says it's "external structural mode" or something like that).
So if anyone had an idea, a solution, well anything that could help, i would be very grateful.
Thanks you all!

If anyone could even give me an idea, a hint, something? Did i miss something? Or is it bricked forever? Thanks!
can you boot into recovery?
If you can. either do adb sideload or flash a custom rom
Nope can't load into recovery... And in download mode phone isn't recognized, that's the main problem i guess, otherwise i would flash back to stock
Hey i finally maanged to get into recovery. But factory reset doesn't seem to work (unknown volume "/sdcard/ .andoid_secure). Wipe data didn't fix bootloop. Adb says no device. So what can i do?
Well after a whole day trying to get adb to work, i finally ended connecting to my G2. I followed all the steps to install twrp from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2449670 . But now when i boot i don't have twrp, and if i push vol+ and power i don't have cwm either (says recovery mode, loading, and never loads)...
I guess i'm in trouble, could anyone help?
hello anyone?
I am stuck in an installation loop that started while updating to KitKat.
I was happy with my LG G2 (T-mobile, D801G), but wanted to use root apps. So, I rooted and installed TWRP, but did not flash a custom rom.
Tuesday when I woke up there was a message saying I could download KitKat. After installing my last system update I lost root, so just had to unroot and re-root – took me about 15 minutes. So, I decided to go ahead and install KitKat.
It downloaded and began to install, but got stuck in a loop. The LG logo flashes for 5 seconds, the little droid pops up with his stomach spinning and the message “Installing system updates” but shows for only about ½-second. Then the screen goes black for 2 seconds and it starts again.
I can get it into the factory reset screen, but when I say yes-yes, it puts up the message :
Error: Boot certification verify
341120
341170
341220 Secure booting error!
341270 Cause: boot certification verify
341320
341370
(the nunbers are different each time, but always 6 numbers in increments of 50)
Then it sits in a black, but not quite off screen until I hold down the power button to turn it off. When I turn it back on, it shows the logo, then the droid showing the message ‘Erasing…’ for a full second, then switches to the ½-second ‘installing system updates’ loop.
It will go into download mode. When I connect it to the LG flash tool ‘Up Test’ it says all firmware is up-to-date.
I tried this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2582142 but I couldn’t get Ubuntu 12.04 to install gdisk. Then I noticed that
ls /dev/sd*
returned the same values whether my phone was plugged in in download mode or unplugged completely. The values were
/dev/sda, /dev/sda1, /dev/sda2, /dev/sda3, /dev/sda4.
I tried the next step anyway
gdisk -l /dev/sdb
and got the error saying gdisk was not found, but I could install it with… etc. I tried to install it, but it wouldn’t work.
This is the second phone I’ve rooted – I had my HTC Sensation rooted for years, and flashed many ROMs. I hadn’t played much with the G2 because I liked it just the way it was – but had to have some rooted apps. I also have an HP Touchpad running Cyanogenmod. My experience with Linux is limited. So I’m just one step up from a noob.
Any advice would be appreciated! I bought a go phone so that I can take my time and fix my G2 right. :-/
Today I tried installing the new Paranoid Android but something went wrong during first boot and I am now the proud owner of a oneplus semi-brick. It seems to start and briefly shows the oneplus logo, then goes black, however, when plugged into my pc I can see it in the device manager.
I tried the Qualcomm unbrick guide but the downloadtool just puts the phone into a boot loop, briefly showing the logo before it reboots, again and again.
What else can I do?
Can you boot into fastboot?

No. When I try it just freezes when the fastboot text appears.
No access to recovery neither.
Phone Model: AT&T LG G2 (D800)
Recovery: Custom TWRP Recovery
ROM: CM12 Official ROM
My phone was working fine from last 3-4 months, until today it restarted and got stuck on 'LG' logo, I left it for some time and it shows the demigod green screen of death with option to access download mode and restart.
What I already did!
1) Full hard reset, I can access the TWRP.
2) Flashed the ROM again.
Current Situation!
Stuck on LG logo from last 10mins.
Thanks in advance.
Edit #1: Reflashed the same ROM (CM12) and it booted into the language selection page, freezes and restarted. Stuck on black screen, I turned it off by pressing the power button for 10-15 secs. I kept it in a freezer for 10-15secs and turned it on, same happened.
Edit #2 I flashed a stock based ROM through TWRP, it was going fine but it froze in between, I waited for some time and it went black. I waited for 1 hr and it was still black so I hold the power button and restarted the phone.
Now its showing "Secure Boot Error" which remains for some secs and a black screen comes, I can't open TWRP, Download mode is accessible but after 2 secs into download mode, secure boot error comes. Whenever I try to connect it to Windows PC(I installed all the required drivers and all) it starting popping up drives(with option to format) which never stops until I remove the USB cable.
Hi!
In this thread someone posted a solution.

Steps to perform.
1. While in critical error screen you have an option to press volume up button to boot into download mode( although it will not boot to download mode) but still press volume up button so your Pc can detect your phone.
2. Now flash a kdz file of your lg g2 with flash tool. ( you can google for it to download flash file for your lg g2 and how to flash it with lg flass tool.)
3. When you will try to flash it will fail..
4. Now power off your phone by pressing power button.
5. Now boot to download mode and flash the correct kdz with lg flash tool and u r good to go..
To acess download mode power off your phone immediately press volume up button and while keep pressing it and plug in usb cable and you will be in download mode
I performed all this on lg g2 d801 but i hope u can try it on other varients as well. As i was scared of short circut method and srk tool didn't help..

Thanks for replying.
My case is a bit different now, I reflashed the same ROM(CM12) and it successfully booted, worked for 10 secs and it was frozen, restarted automatically, stuck on LG Logo.
I notice that there's some heat issue, I kept it in freezer for 10 secs, rebooted it, it booted till language selection page and freeze after 10-15secs.
Also the link is for DemiGod Critical Crash, mine is DemiGod Kernel Crash.
Updated!!
First post updated, please check the current situation before posting anything.
I don't have a computer or laptop to connect it to so how can I fix it?
Hello everyone,
It's the second time I have a problem with my LG Spirit but now I seem unable to do anything
About month ago my LG was getting stuck on LG loading animation but then I managed to flash it via Download Mode and LG Flash Tool. Everything went fine and the phone was operational till today.
After battery had gone flat I plugged it to recharge but "Security Error" occured.
While plugged in it constantly shows the error message and reboots again and again.
Of course, I tried flashing via Download Mode but in vain. Although Download Mode shows up, a message "Secure booting error. Cause: Boot certification verify." appears, the screen blinks in blue colour and turns off.
Any PC with any USB wire recognizes the LG. Debugging mode is switched on, but no modifications such as TWRP, etc. were ever made.
I also managed to restore default settings, but with no results.
Any ideas what to do?
Thanks in advance
