Hi guys here is my case
I live in Mexico and my brother who lives in California is coming to Mexico at august 10th.
I know that for buying the N7 you need to be in the us and use a domestic credit card so my plan is to ask my brother to use his card to order it directly from the playstore. Now my question is, since he doesn't have a Google account linked to any card he would need to create an account and link his card to Google wallet? Or anyone with a credit card in he US can order the N7 without a Google account just like buying it in some store location?
Is there different versions just like the Gnex TAKJU, YAKJU etc from the ones you order from the Google play and the ones you order in sites like best buy or other retailers?

so basically i have about another 9 days that i can exchange my nexus for a 32gb at the store i bought it from, anyone have any ideas i the 3g model will be out in london by then?
edit: just found this this site saying The Google Nexus 10 tablet and the Google Nexus 4 smartphone, made by LG will hit the UK Google Play store at 8am on Tuesday.

It's pretty much the same price everywhere (except for a few places over-charging compared to the Google Play Store). This web page has a list of availability which is probably reasonably complete: http://www.stockinformer.co.uk/checker-nexus-7-tablet
Some of the stores on that page are online only, but the majority have bricks and mortar outlets.

I figured out currys.co.uk but I wanted to know if there was any other site selling it at a lesser price.

Argos is fairly good, got mine from there.
Also extremely easy to return to, no questions asked sort of place.
Check for currys voucher codes online...or Argos/HMV in store deals...Asda is aswell but 180-199 is usually the range anyways for 32 gb

If you goto a Currys/PCWorld store then do NOT be fooled by their £20 off the 32Gb Nexus 7 because it's a con. Basically, it's £199, yet they say you can purchase ANY case (Their own wording) and get £20. Now if you can truly get ANY case then they sell £5 - £10 cheap phone cases so you get one of those and save £10 - £15, but it's not, it's buy any TABLET case and they start at £20. So you pay £20 and get £20 back, and their own proper Nexus 7 cases are £25, so you would be £5 out of pocket for a cheap plastic case.
This was in my own local super store, so yours may differ for offers + you might get a doofus serving you (like most Currys/PCWorld staff on commision) so you might be able to talk the talk.
You could also try a local Comet, they're shutting down their stores and they sell the Nexus 7, so you might see 20% off if you're lucky.

Just seen my local 'Carphone Warehouse' has the 32Gb N7 for £195, they also had some cheap decent case/pouches from £6.
If there is a local Carphone Warehouse near you I would send your friend in there, hopefully they have stock left, and they are the cheapest for 32Gb N7 on the highstreet.
I agree with what John said, I ordered mine last saturday and by the monday or tuesday I had it £195 with free delivery too!

Seen a number of deals as above for US customers, not a lot for those of us outside the US! Some retailers offered the VR for free but not all.
I know this isn't much but I'm from Canada and my pre-order includes the Gear VR, and a 128gb microsd. I'm used to not getting anything.

Just the VR in The Netherlands. And it seems to look like it that those who got the phone thru a carrier here and didn't pay the full 800 Euro (it comes free with a 2-year subscription of about 50 Euro a month) are not getting the VR. Samsung declined my girlfriends promotion registration !
I bought it carrier free for the full amount and just got confirmation my VR will arrive within 8 weeks.
In UK you get the Gear VR with it, either ourright (which I did), or through some of the operators. VR was delivered together with the phone on 8/Mar (I pre-ordered).
That part is good, and by itself no issues.
however, it is a shame that the US is getting more freebies.
Here in Puerto Rico we got The new Samsung OnLive Bluetooth Headphones, Gear VR and $50 Oculus cupon on the spot for people that reserved the S7 or S7 Edge. Didn't have to wait for freebies Nice package if you ask me.

In Turkey, we don't get anything except the phone and shamelessly they charge those people who preordered the vr for 30$. What a lame company, The S7 Edge costs about 1100 USD here, total ripoff.

Did you sent the right invoice and filled in the right information like where you bought it etc.
Oh and I got 100GB onedrive for free (Temporary)
The Free Gear VR deal was worldwide..anyone had access to it if they wanted to, one way or another. Sometimes via operators.
However, is the wireless charger deal for the new, angled charger ? Because otherwise it doesn't look like a good deal to me.
I'll trade the VR gear for your root!

Yes Jef, she filled in the form in the exact same matter as me, the reason in the email from Samsung was:
"we need an invoice that proofs that you paid the phone in advance in full", of course her invoice doesn't say that cause she got it with a subscription.
So this leads me to believe the previous statement I made: 'only VR if you paid full'. Another option is that they made a mistake and treated her in the same matter as me and didn't see she prolonged her subscription
