Clock reset after batery changed

Date/time sets to default (9 May 2005) when I just remove/pushback my battery. It seems that it the hardware problem...
Any ideas?

How to check it? When I am going to Settings->System->Power I can see status only for main battery. With my previous one S110 it was also status for backup battery.

How long PDA was w/o battary pack? In my observations, PDA can saves time for a 30-60 seconds.
May be, i'm wrong.....

I've done the experiment.
The phone is fully charged (was on USB charger for a couple of hours). When I remove the battery just for 2-3 seconds - clock reset.

I think something wrong in PDA. Visit a Service Centre.

bad backup battery!

If you look into the setting>system>power, there is only the main battery. So atom does not have any backup battery.

There's a battery inside of ATOM. Size of it - like in women watches.
Capasitors arent' use for backup settings of device, ionistors does it.

Короче. Нет там кондёра. Есть батарейка. Маленькая, 4-5 мм в диаметре. Находится примерно где левый верхний угол экрана. А кондёры не применяют для поддержания часов. Для этого есть ионисторы.

The O2 website does not say anything about backup Battery in their SPECIFICATION Sheet.

Да, я его разбирал....гарантии лишился из-за этого
Всё равно она московская, а я в иркутске....ладно, не суть....
Там такая батарейка, что она вряд ли что-то кроме часов тянет....хотя тот же SDRAM в IDLE потребляет очень мало для обновления "страниц" (своих)....
В общем, я бы это бэкап батарейкой не назвал бы.....

Don't trust techspecs on the web. It's need to see schematic diagramm. After this only you can say that there is in the device and that there is not.
Something, like backup battery there is in the ATOM, but IMHO it's for RTC(Real Time Clock) only.

My atom resets the clock even if I took out the battery for less than a sec. My friends atom's too. I think Qwanta didnt make the effort to put a tiny battery to keep the time. What a shame!

No, my unit has been resetting the clock when I remove the battery for a few seconds ever since I bought it new, so there probably is no backup battery.

Hello, many Zc551kl users (sample me) are waiting for the custom ROM. But there is no development. Please do something. Kernel, Custom Rom or Port rom. I tried porting Rom, but it failed. Is there someone to do?

After searching each forum i came to result that their is so far no custom rom for the asus zenfone 3 laser

I'm also waiting for a ROM for ZC551KL / Z01BDC... Really nothing so far for this phone I tried some builds of Viper, Lineage, CM for other Zenfone 3 but nothing worked on Zenfone 3 Laser. Please, if anyone can port a Nougat or Oreo for us, will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

The Lazer uses the Qualcomm 430 instead of the 625, this is why you are having issues with the roms. I don't think you will find much support here... there weren't many people working on the Zenfone 3 Rom before and I'm not sure that will change.
