I have a Fire10 tablet (7th gen) that is systemlessly rooted with magisk.
Everything works fine on it apart from When i try to open the amazon shopping app, it shows a white screen and then closes.
I have tried;
Force stopping the app
Clearing data & cache
Uninstalling and loading from the google play store & side loading the apk
converting the freshly installed apk to system app then Clearing data & cache
none of this has helped.
The time and date is correct, and magisk is set to hide from the app aswell.
Any ideas ?
Did you run FireToolBox, a de-bloating script or do manual de-bloating on this device?
My Fire is completely divorced from Amazon, so I can't check this, but as you run the Amazon shopping app, do you see the Location Services icon (triangular compass pointer to the left of WiFi indicator) light up momentarily before the crash?
If your Location Services are broken, or you have disabled any or all of:
com.amazon.device.messaging
com.amazon.device.messaging.sdk.internal.library
com.amazon.device.messaging.sdk.library
Then some apps that access Location Services will crash (and I bet Amazon shopping wants to know where you are to offer targeted deals). For example, Instagram pings Location Services on startup, if any of these items are disabled, then Instagram crashes before it can fully start.
These 3 items are usually recommended to disable or delete in most of the de-bloating guides I've seen, and they should NOT be.

I'm trying to use the Square app on the Fire but it won't let me proceed without location settings. There doesn't seem to be an option on the menu that let's me make that change.
I know GPS usually takes care of this and there is no GPS but you can use wifi for location settings too.
I suppose that amazon could have removed the location manager from this build. Hat would disable all location Providers including wifi. I did manage to get google maps and the stock android news and weather app installed. Maps displays the maps just fine, but cant show even a rough location. I had to input my zip code to get weather working.

I don't think Amazon has their own location services and by default, android uses google's location services. Since it does, Amazon was not allowed to use them. Perhaps later, Amazon will roll their own, but for now, there are no location services built into the fire.
The Amazon Market now has a custom edition of Mapquest for the Fire which does include a form of Skyhook-based location services. But this is different from the Google location services, which still don't seem to work. In fact, I have APKs for a couple of other apps that are location-aware and they won't even install. (The ADB console says [INSTALL_FAILED_MISSING_SHARED_LIBRARY].)
Hey guys. My S8 is contantly remind me that I can opt-into (and subsequently "restore") Instant Apps instead of needing to install entire apps whenever I open certain videos or links, but attempting to activate Instant Apps causes the phone to get stuck on a loading bar; "Just a moment while we set up your device. Downloading Google Play services for instant apps."
I don't quite understand why it's hanging here. I've left it to "download" for about 40 minutes but no luck. Rebooting, clearing Google Play cache etc. doesn't seem to help.
Any advice?
I am on an Amazon Fire Table 7 (5th Generation) I thought I would try out Yalp Store since I have no Google apps on the device, I use YouTube Vanced etc. Anyways I downloaded Yalp store and chose the option to show system apps, it let me reset all the huge apps to the factory version freeing up a whole gig of storage. I only have the 8 gig and only had 2.4 left with just my primary apps installed. It also gave me about 40-50 free RAM which is a big deal to me on this little device.
This is the only way I have found to do this with this tablet as there is no option to disable the apps. The apps I reset were Appstore, amazon video, Alexa, home pages, kindle app I believe, and a few others. All the ones it would let me and I NEVER EVER use any of them. It is amazing how huge those useless apps were, now I just wait and see if they will ever try to automatically update again. I have appstore updates turned off and I never registered the device as I use it as a secondary. (thank God) I thought I would share. It doesn't disable the app but it gives you back all the precious forced storage it took.
AppMgr III also does the same job.
Fire HD 10 is rooted and looking for a list of apps or services that should be uninstalled without crash the system.
I'd like to keep the minimal Amazon service, I do use shop, book, video, music, emails, but just trying to optimize/speed up the system. Any suggestions? Thanks
HOW I DISABLED Google Playservices for INSTANT Apps
DISCLAIMER: Tweaking these apps and services can leave you with a broken, non-functional, steaming, smoking, screaming device; proceed at your own
risk. Just because I got it to work, doesn't mean it will work for you. I am not responsible for your PEBKAC errors. All Google stuff on my devices is extensively neutered, if it's not on your this may not work. I prevent updates to Play Store and Play services and the brunt of services run by those apps are disabled there's too much there to be covered in a simple guide but this instruction is what FINALLY clipped INSTANT APP'S wings.
I thought I'd found a way to prevent it from re-installing itself, but after two days it did, but at least this turns it off and keeps it from hogging battery and as much memory. As many have pointed out, freezing doesn't, but but turning off the SERVICES as outlined here, it slows it down a lot.
ROOT IS REQUIRED, the only way to block it without root I know of is disable the Play Store, go someplace else for that and don't hijack this information, it's not about using 3C, facebook, Play store, relationship problems or political unrest, it's about STOPPING Google's Apps: Play Store & Play Services from installing "Playservices for INSTANT Apps"
I think the PLAY STORE downloads and installs “Playservices for INSTANT Apps” under control of services run by PLAY Services
RECOMMENDATION: Every release of Play Store and Play services potentinally includes NEW services that might affect this solution. I recommend each time they are updated you check for NEW items that might trigger installation of Instant apps.

This is working for me on Samsung Galaxy S5 (G900V Lollipop), Core Prime (G360T), Core Prime G360V, J1 (J100M), LG VS810P and MemuPlay Emulator.
Call it what you want, Malware, Spyware, Shovelware, Vaporware, Bloatware to me Google Playservices for INSTANT Apps is all those things. I saw Google Playservices for INSTANT Apps on my phone December 2018 and cringed. It's taken me almost 4 months to come up with this working solution. When I say WORKING, I mean it prevents Google Playservices for INSTANT Apps from reinstalling and still leaves Google Play Store functional.
THANK YOU! to the dev of 3C All-in-One Toolbox for providing their awesome tools.
