I tried Pixel experience, arrow OS, Hovoc but in none of these ROMs cast was working properly.
it shared the screen but audio was not shared.
The screen was shown on the TV screen but the audio was played in the phone itself.
Cast from Youtube works fine though.
Please suggest a Pie ROM with working cast option, both screen and audio working.
Thanks
Cheers

I've seen similar issues addressed elsewhere but with no explicit solution:
When I play music on any player (i've tried 3 of them so far) the playback stutters and stops only to resume when the screen's turned on again. Similar posts said the issue happened at the end of the song but not in my case. The playback sometimes restarts with long gaps an stutters.
Has anyone had this issue? Found a fix or a workaround?
Ps: Stock hc 3.2.1.
player
i had this issue too with google play music and some other players
i now use n7player and it works fine for me
its so light beautifull and usefull
u can use handsfree buttons with it and lock screen controls
its available on play store
thanks, in the meantime I had also found out that double twist did the trick as well, unfortunately it didn't work with zimly which is by far my favorite player on a tablet. Double twist is nice on a phone but ugly when stretched to fit a tablet's screen and n7 is really nice too but you have to pay to get features you can get for free elsewhere and it's missing a landscape orientation which is the one I most commonly use on my tab.
I suddenly have no sound while doing screen mirroring with my Samsung ShareCast Hub. It was working fine, and then it just stopped outputting sound. I have verified that the device is working properly with my girlfriends Note 2. All other sound components working properly, verified with MHL adapter, headphones, and built-in speaker. All video streaming looks normal, as it did before the issue. I think it stopped working after an xposed framework update, but I forgot to take a backup. I am currently running 4.4.2 stock NC1 Rom and have verified every audio setting that I can think of but can't get it to work. I'm thinking that I may need to replace some of the screen mirroring components at the OS level from the original files, but I've not done much modification of this type before and could use some guidance.
Hi my name is Bill. I purchased a screen mirroring stick called (castpro) i use it with my Galaxy S5 G900T1. Before rooting it everything worked fine with netflix, but after rooting it netflix shows black screen, I see the title bars and play bar and hear the sound but no picture on screen. But everything else works I get pictures on YouTube and other video players, need help for this problem I would really appreciate it

Did you ever find a fix. Read my issue HERE
Found an answer HERE I had come across the fix of disabling hdcp in build.prop but didn't know own what it really meant. Basically hdcp is DRM or copyright protection and when you alter your stock software the apps that use hdcp will not function properly. There is no current or expected fix.
For some reason when I cast screen, the audio comes out of the phone speaker instead of the TV. Has anyone had this problem?
Casting through the YouTube app works fine.
If it matters, I am rooted, stock rom, and I have Viper4ARISE installed.
I have Chromecast set up on my Sony TV. I regularly cast screen from my Moto x, picture quality is superb.
On my new 6t, upon connection of the screen casting, I get a toast that says "screen casting not optimized for this device.". . I can see my phone screen on the TV but it looks very pixelated and just general awful quality - nowhere near acceptable.
Has anyone else had this issue and if not, what method do you use for screen casting? My TV also supports Miracast which is screen mirroring(the 'enable wireless display' option under cast menu) and that fails to connect whatsoever with this device (6t).
Any input would be much appreciated, thank you
&Mod please move to q&a if you can. Accidentally posted in wrong section
I don't have any issues and I cast everything. I have a TMO 6t and I don't have regular cable. It could be an issue with your app? Have you been tied uninstalling and reinstalling? Make sure you are using the official Google app for screen mirroring. It works a lot better than other apps out there
I'm not using an app .I'm using the cast option under connection settings..
Yeah. This is something that has been bugging me since I noticed it a week or so ago. I have a Vizio 4k TV with a Chromecast built in. When I cast the screen of my 6t using the Cast button in Quick Settings, my TV reports it's only receiving a 720p signal. If I cast from YouTube Vanced, Netflix, HBO Go, the TV will report 1080p. If I cast a game from the NHL or MLB app those too are only 720p, although they do appear to be higher quality. However what bugs me the most is when I try to view photos or video taken with the phone's camera. I took some video at 1080p/60fps and when I cast it to the TV using Google Photos it will only cast at 720p and the video looks horrible. Same with pictures.
I tried VLC and it would cast in 1080p but 60fps video was really choppy. Also, if the video is recorded in portrait, it's rotated to landscape on the tv.
I tried AllCast and it cast in 1080p and was smooth with 60fps video. However, it doesn't handle videos in portrait properly either.
Any recommendations for an app that can handle casting local files at it's full resolution that also handles portrait video properly?
I tried it after seeing you having problems, but it works fine for me. It's not as smooth as regular casting (as in streaming via Chromecast, rather than screen mirroring) but there's not much in it. I wasn't expecting much, to be honest, so I was pleasantly surprised.
Hmm interesting..well thank you for the input
My new Oneplus 8pro China 11In2020 build has problem too. Cast quality very poor. What to do? My recent Poco F1 was top notch with little delay. But 8 pro, I did not expect.
