I bought S10+ then make it rooted. Now I can access all potential development as well but loose Samsung Pass, Secure Folder and Software Update.
1-) I am using Google instead of Samsung Pass. its OK
2-) I had huawei P20 pro and I loved Private Space different finger opens different accounts its awesome. With S10+ can not use SF anymore now. Is there anything usable APP for android like Huawei's PS?
3-) I can not use software update tools
One UI: 1.1
Android Ver: 9
Kernel:4.14.85-16887086
how can I update my OS?
2) use Hades rom is has sf
3) the room gets updated periodically just flash the updates as they come

I always liked to use custom roms but in case of mi devices I don't want a custom roms. The reasons are
1. MIUI provide find my device service.
2. Mi cloud services eg: picture backup, remote backup, etc
3. Smart card. #makes android looks cool
4. Strong security. #some one with few android knowledge cannot access ur device.
5. Share wifi password via qr code.
6. Miui security app and internet messaging service.
So what's ur opinion? Which one do u prefer custom or stock?

1. Custom ROMs also provide 'find device' service.(search in google 'Find my device' and the first thing that pops is your device location and options to lock or ring it)
2. Google photos provide unlimited photo storage(compared to 5GB limit on Mi cloud). Google drive provides 17GB storage for users in India.
4. Custom ROMs provide latest security patches while miui is stuck on april 2017 patch. I can unlock any device with twrp alone.
6. The security app provides what? Cleaning junk? So does a lot of apps in playstore. (I use boost+ by HTC corporation).
Extra benefits- Stock android experience (The smoothest interface ever on android)
2. Much more performance ( 43K for Miui 9 (2GB RAM/16GB internal) vs 48K for Custom roms(average) on antutu benchmarks)
3. Pixel portrait mode(awesome photo-centric feature)
4. Better RAM management.
5. Latest Android version.
6. HDR+ enhanced photography only for custom ROMs.

Correct me if I'm wrong.
1) Find my device will not work if hard reset is done.
2) MIUI based phone requires previous mi id and password if anyone reinstalls the stock rom. Like the iCloud lock in iphones.
? Suggestions appreciated?

But you can lock the device and a locked device is no good to anybody who stole it. It's better to screw up the person who stole it rather than letting him get away with it.

They don't need the device functional if functional then great or they will sell all part by part (hardware) ? of a costly phone they don't need to crack it.. Just like when a car is stolen. ??
And which lock r u talking about all locks can be broken via flashing new software

Correction:
1) Find my device will still work if bootloader is relocked. But that won't be a major use. You can still use find my device by Google if you install other roms. Both of these work only if the device internet is on.
2) you need not require mi id and password to be given if your phone is flashed through edl mode (which most of the thieves would do)...
Hello everyone,
Xiaomi is not bothered to update Redmi 3S Prime and its still stuck on old version of android and security patch. I'm preparing for examination and I mostly download pdf from online and need split window feature in order to keep both tabs open to see the answers while studying. So since Redmi 3S Prime is stuck on Marshmallow, it does not have split screen option. So I want to update my phone to at least stable Nougat ROM which can also support Banking apps. Its okay if it doesn't have root but just need a stable Rom with minimum glitches. I know there are tons and tons of customized ROM available and I did tried couple of them and all turned out to be unstable and most of them have issues with Banking applications. I haven't kept myself updated with this sub cause I never had that urge to update phone's software but now situation demands me to update phone, so need your expert guidance in updating phone with minimal hassle. Thanks.

I'll suggest Lineage OS by nichcream,
Although you should try other roms too on your own.
banking apps work in every ROM
follow these:-
1. use magisk hide if ur device is rooted
2. disable phone permission to google play services by going into app info
now, u r good to go. peace out!
Lineage os by nichcream is perfect for your needs.....without magisk hide all bank apps work....
And google pay which doesnt work in many roms also works in this out of the box....go for nichcream rom
Performance is not that good but everything works

For a while I have been looking for any working custom ROM for the Samsung Tab A 8 (2019) SM-T290
Are there any yet? I've checked every few months since i've got it, and so far nothing. It's such a slow tablet, which is made worse by being bogged down by awful bloatware like google and samsung apps that can't be removed. I'd like to remove them and increase the privacy of the device.
I believe, that it is unfortunately running android 12, since even though I had automatic updates disabled it updated anyways, true to the spirit of scamsung products.
In the case that there are still no supported versions of lineage or aosop.. is it possible to simply remove the bloatware or just obtain root on the device?
If I just remove all the "essential" google nonsense and samsung bloat, it just boot loops. Plus, even if I replace the launcher, it will keep running no matter what. Taking up the already limited 2gb of ram
Hey brap, so i dont have the link to it off hand as im at work but andy yans linage os builds will work on the sm-t290. The one with out gapps is pretty peppy version 19.1) but the image with gapps isnt nessicarly any better then stock but i havnt really used it for anything except termux and baulders gate.
Also there is a nexus rom out that doesnt seem to work too great. It crashed alot on mine.
Both of these should be easly findable through the search. Im still new but if you need some help, let me know and ill see what i can do.
Edit: forgot to mention that both of these have root. With andy's you have to install the app for it to work.
