Greetings comrades, after a long review into all the details for the release of HTC Touch, I realized that one of the recommendation s that had given me was to update the IPL and the SPL, well I realize flashing the phone and you install another rom, I thought it changed with the IPL and SPL, it is not so, of course before I realized that little detail, and had attempted to release 14 times, you can upgrade the IPL and SPL to version 3. xxxx both, put the sim from other operator and already has aproximadament and 1 week and waiting a few days to unlock the bar to place the code.
I'm pretty sure that if you let me put the code, unlocking ... p eroo
Question:
There is a way to reset the counter?
I appreciate all the support I can get.
Greetings
Saludos
Hi, I never heard about the counter... The first think u have to do its to cid unlock your device to flash any rom... I dont know how u flashed a onyx rom without cid unlocked (when u cid unlock u change the ipl and spl). Also with the cid unlock u can use any sim, well in my case in Mexico I didnt have any problem with Telcel or Movistar. I recommend u to make a Cid Unlock with a Hspl, the 3.10 recommended. Do first the Hard spl by running the elf-uspl.exe, not by the Romupdateutility.exe. Then Flash a rom, I recommend u the Onyx 5 (WM6.5)
Maybe by doing thinghs right u can unblocked the sim youre trying to use... Also its weird the time u have been waiting. Its too long to wait for a week... Have u tried to use another sim?? maybe the sim ure are trying to unblock its corrupted.

Greetings, ok, if I perform a CID Unlock before flashing my HTC and install the IPL 2.20 and SPL same (I think), then install the ROM onyx 5.0.2, then copy htcmania according to a manual where you copy 2 files on the tyelefono and run, then run a program on the pc with the connected phone (the SIM UNLOCK) which generates a code to me, when you insert another sim from another operator asks for a code which is placed on it throws the sim unlock, I could not unlock it, so try several times with different ROM, the latest was to update the IPL and SPL version 3.xxx. I have not tried in arrears and my sim seems very strange that so late, but I go by the attempt 13.
Thanks for your reviews, carried out, such evidence to see what happens.

Health, held the suggestions that you provided me, I returned to do a CID UNLOCK but this time with the USPL 3.10.00, updated the ipl and spl to version 3.10.02 - 3.10.00 respectively, flashing and install the ONIX ROM 5.0.2 (WMobile 6.5) remains blocked, tests are done to rule out another sim.
Thank you.
Gracias.
Hi, I think its a problem with the program u run from your pc for the sim unlock (I dont know how it works, why u used it, so dont know what to recommend u)... In my case I could use any sim (from any company) with just the Cid Unlock and with the first flash of a new rom from any author... As far as I know the Cid unlock lets u use any rom and sim.
Try using another sim just for in case. good luck
Hi, I have htc touch(gsm) unlocked. Tell Me if I restore to factory settings, will the phone get locked again? I want to do this because when new sms comes the tab on the home screen in sms(where the counter is shown for new sms) the number does not increment it stays at '0'. So to solve this I want to restore to factory setting OR If U have any other process then do let me know.
HardReset
Greetings, that you can do with a hardreset puts you on the phone manufactures, search the forums you will be told how to do not remember as you do, but if you do.

Hello, there will be some way to get a generic firmware ROM just for Latin America? GEL (LATAM)? Someone at Xda Developers can work on it?? Or explain why you can not get it?
I'm confused. Can you help? I have a Xperia Arc, full of junk that they put the telephone company and the android version 2.3.2. Please, can you explain how I can easily remove the phone company's firmware by another generic firmware (for latin america Lt15a) and as I update to version 2.3.4?
Sorry for the bad translation, not English.
Thank you.

Just use the generic world rom indicated at namaste guide and update from there, the rom includes spanish language, and its almost free from junk (bloatware), whatever u dont like just remove it, there's also guides for that.
PD: Soy de México y no he tenido problemas tras haber seguido esa guia.
Gracias
Hello friend, thanks for your answer. But tell me, I read here that the World Generic ROM is actually the ROM of the Nordic region (East Europe) and is therefore LT15i. You say you did flash the ARC with this ROM; but, you have a problem with this with the 3G? Since your Arc is LT15a and as we know the international version (LT15i) does not support 3G in America.
Now, if you can flash this ROM, you could upgrade to 2.3.4 android?? And if you did, as you did?
Thanks and excuse my English.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
*In order to get 3G it doesn't matter if the ROM is LT15i or LT15a, it's the same. What it truly matters is the hardware, if you bought like me an european phone, you'll never get 3G, to get 3G in America you need to buy it with the hardware version for America, for example any phone company who sells Xperia Arcs in Mexico or the US is selling the Arc with the hardware 3G capable.
The best way is buy it in America, making sure its 3G capable beforehand, from there it doesn't matter if you install ROM LT15i or LT15a or if you personalize it, it will keep having 3G anyways. Imagine, my phone without bloatware goes from off to ready in 30 secs or less.
Now, on the update to 2.3.4, personally i wouldn't reccomend it, i stayed at 2.3.3 compilation 3.0.1.A.0.145, why? because of the following:
2.3.4 doesn't support some widgets, like extended controls for example.
2.3.4 can't be done via OTA (from the phone, using WIFI), the only way is with PC companion, which means you'll be losing root.
2.3.4 is seeming to cause some hardware modification, in such a way that if you want root someday, and decide to flash downgrade to get root afterwards, it will cause the problem with battery 0% and the "RED Led of Death", and as today there is no solution for that.
I'd reccomend not take the risk, follow the namaste guide and root your phone, then do OTA upgrade, and stay there, the PC Companion will keep telling you there's an update available to 2.3.4, but always do reject it since you would lose root.
EDIT: I just checked, seems like 2.3.4 is available via OTA when following namaste guide, but i wont be risking it, from my actual version i can easily flash another rom or downgrades for reparations with no danger at all.
Amigo!!! Hermano!!!
Ayudeme, porfavor. Soy algo despistado.
Gracias
Friend! Brother!
You do not know how much you have clarified many of my doubts. but I've read the guide, this takes you directly to upgrade to 2.3.4. In that part of the guide then I must stay to stay at v. 2.3.3, given that I have the v. 2.3.2?? I have my Arc en v. rooter 2.3.2 and then update OTA? But this did not lead directly to 2.3.4? Help me, please. I am somewhat confused.
thanks
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
That's right, as 2.3.4 is recently available via OTA, theres's the possibility of reaching that version with root and getting the 0% battery problem which its very risky.
Better flash LT15i_3.0.A.2.181_Generic_World (without unlocking bootloader), then root with gingerbreak. Staying there for safety, surely with time a solution is bound to appear in order to get 2.3.4 rooted and without being afraid of the battery problem or Red Led.
Follow the guides to get rid of all the bloatware so your phone can run a lot faster and better.
Or, just if you dare, read carefully about the process and you could unlock the bootloader and install DoomLord's rom which is awesome.
You decide the limit of what can be risked, but whatever you do, read carefully and verify all the steps before actually doing them.
Regards
PD: There's a thread from datagubben, which explains how to get 2.3.4 rooted, it has worked for many ppl, but it seems even the slightest error can be fatal, that could be another choice, with it's risks of course.
And for contract bound phones
Is there any problem flashing either 2.3.3. or .4 on a contract bound phone (I got a lt15a contract bound to telcel, orunning 2.3.2.)?

i dont think there's a problem, since u would get rid of the telcel bloatware and ur phone can be free for using it on another phone companies if desired.
But im not sure if after flashing the full warranty with telcel is still valid.
I would strongly reccomend to avoid 2.3.4 until someone finds a safe solution for the 0% battery problem.
Mil gracias amigo.

Ok, I decided to do what you recommended. Then I will flash to version 2.3.3, but I read that first we must make a copy of my current and build.prop ROM in order to use backup and if necessary to return to the custom firmware Claro - Peru. Can you help me and tell me what is the procedure to accomplish this? Thanks friend.
Lo siento, no lo sé amigo, desde que instale la rom world generic .181, root, y OTA a la .145, no me he movido de ahi, nunca he tenido necesidad de respaldar mi rom pues ya estaba decidido a quedarme con la world generic.
-------------------------------------------
Sorry, i don't know buddy, ever since i installed wold generic .181, rooted, and OTA to .145, i stayed there, i've never had the need of backup my rom cuz i had already decided to stick to world generic.

Did you flash your phone yet, how was your experience? Was it contract bound to an operator?

Ok I checked forums and apparently it is not possible if you have a locked boot loader (which a contract bound phone has). Unlocking is either very time consuming or costs money (Im paying for mine lol...).
Its all detailed in this thread:

I have a Huawei U8800Pro bought in China and I would like to change the Rom because this is a chinese version, although I can change the language into english.
Well, the steps to follow are:
1.- Root
2.- Install a recovery
3.- Install new Rom
1. For the rooting I have red about the Super Boot. Is there any other specific system for U8800Pro to root it?
2. About the recovery, I have seen the Unofficial CWM Recovery 5.0.2.3, but I'm not sure if this is compatible with the U8800Pro or just the U8800.
3. And finally, about the new Rom, I see that the custom Roms are still developing and they are not completly compatible with Pro version, so I decided to install the official Overseas General version, instead the Chinese version that I have now. But I don't know where to get the Pro official Rom. I found the U8800 V100R001C00B136 (Overseas General version) 2011-05-17, but I'm afraid this is for the non Pro version.
Any help, please?
Hey, I have bricked U8800 PRO. Read this two themes:
[Q] [HELP] phone bricked by flashing the latest frimware from Huawei
[Q] Bricked my phone. Need help!
Well, really thank you for your answer. Then I think that I will continue with the original rom at the moment.
Does it brick with the rooting or installing the recovery as well?

Hi,
First of all I'm a spanish user with u8800PRO (ideos X5 Movistar)
It's possible to be root user with SuperOneClick app, it's really easy.
You can check the way in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=803682
For install the CVM, follow this instructions: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1291848
Works perfectly.
At this moment there isn't any custom ROM, we are still waiting really exciting!! I hope 2.3 official update will be at November.

Muchas gracias.

Moved To Q&A

I'll comment a little, buy a Motorola Moto G6 plus here in Argentina, is from Tierra del Fuego, the software version is RETAR. All very well with the updates and others. It turns out that I want to root it to try to modify something in the system. All this with Android 9 already. Then to root it I had to unlock the bootloader. I unlocked it, I made it root and ready.
Then after I want to have it again as a factory, find out the system version that I had thanks to another person who bought the same and ordered it to be installed using the fastboot commands. the install of 0. I deleted the root, I remain factory but only with the bootloader unlocked that I wanted to block and could not. And now this poster appears to me when I want to update it and it does not let me receive updates. How can I get back to having my factory terminal and that I throw away the updates well? Thank you.
Here I attach the image:
I tell them what they say in case they can not visualize the image:
"Because the integrity of your device's system is at risk, it is no longer eligible to install software updates, please contact the customer service to reprogram the device with the official software."
My software is:
Channel: RETAR

Thanks. I wait for answers
Mod edit: [google translate] I have exactly the same problem, have you solved it?
Mod edit: [google translate] You cannot re-lock the bootloader, once you request the unlock code and unlock the bootloader you lose the warranty and there is no turning back, there is a way to hide that message but if you want to make the guarantee valid it will no longer be possible .
Now to return to the ROM stock it is very easy once installed twrp or with adb you just have to look for the ROM and update manually that the truth is easier for me than to walk waiting for it to arrive automatically.
Please guys, use English, as per as per XDA Rules

hello, here I bring you a simple way to update our mate 9 to android 8 if you are in 7 and android 9 if you are in 8.
To start the procedure we need to have the fastboot drivers installed correctly, this step only applies if you do not know the region of your device. now we will download this program called HalabTech: https://mega.nz/file/QctGVbzD#IK4QcYNHxZyy_K47n5hlUgDXb69DDKYZ4-XCQpuW-DU
Important note: this step also applies to the failure that Huawei has in the NRD90M TEST KEY compilations since the region or which firmware to install is not known.
Once the tool is installed, we open it and we will go to the huawei section and fastboot section. there connected our device in fastboot mode and we will touch on information, in this way the program will give us all the information of the phone, what interests us is the region section, if it comes out eu, it is European for example. once we know our region we will go to this page which is a compilation of firmware for our mate 9.

Now search for your corresponding model according to your region and download it,
Important note in this step: if your mate 9 is European you have to put the updater.app in the dload folder. the updater is inside the updater.zip and if mate 9 is from an operator, for example C25 of course, download it and leave it as it comes in the zip. all this must be put on an sd card in exfat format.
Then we turn off our mobile and press the + and - buttons and power on at the same time and in this way our huawei will be updated.
It is also important to follow the order of compilations by android version, that is, if you are in 7 you must go to 8 and then to 9, not from 7 to 9, another important thing is to install the compilations closest to yours but with the version of new android.
well this would be all from me, leave your comment for any questions.

hello, here I bring you a simple way to update our mate 9 to android 8 if you are in 7 and android 9 if you are in 8.
