Hey guys, So i am having a problem with the OTG. It was working fine Lieage OS official and unofficial both as well as RR. But with Tesla and AOSP extended the OTG is detected but when i go to open it it says failed to open file. When i restart the OTG works fine but i have to restart to make it work. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
Hello,
First of all Nice to meet You !!
Lastly I rooted my p9 lite and activated USB OTG. It is possible to plug in pendrive mouse etc and it works fine :good: .
The problem is that I cannot make my portable DAC xDuoo XD05 working with P9 Lite. I tired everything.
When I plug it in there is no reaction I tired different usb option /cables - no result. Apps like USB AUDIO PLAYER give notification that android did not find any devices and probably my device does not support USB host mode. I'm asking You for help as I am totally disoriented what can be done as I'm not expert for sure.. to make a use of DAC / USB AUDIO option.
HUAWEI VNS-L21
EMUI 4.1.1
Android 6.0
This DAC xDuoo XD05 is connected by usb OTG right? The phone may not have the driver to support the DAC, it happens with a lot of device if the phone does not have native usb OTG support.

Hello,
Yes exactly it is connected by usb otg. Maybe it is possible to get and install driver or any other way to make it working? I saw on the forum similiar cases for other phones so I just wonedring if it is possible to make it working on p 9 lite
I don't think it's possible to manually install drivers. Some kernel and custom ROMs are build with every driver available in the kernel source. You may try Veno Kernel but they said that it is not very stable on EMUI.

Ok I will try it. But firstly I need to find some instruction how to do it thx
Take a backup of boot partition on TWRP and flash the zip that you can find in the ROMs&Kernel section of Veno Kernel. If something does not work good you can restore the backup
I have error while flashing unsupported device
I think it's because you are on EMUI 4, it is still not fully supported.
I'm still looking for solution so if anyone has any ideas please share with me
Hello,
Finally I found solution.
I connected Xduoo via usb hub to my p9 lite. Usb audio player pro found my device and it works perfectly now. Please share this tip to anyone having similar issue.
Nice!
Jakiego huba użyłeś ? Mam ten sam problem z Dragonfly Black i Samsungiem A5 2016 .
Hello everyone,
first sorry for my english.
I have Nexus 2012 with 3G modem. I had android 5.1.1 witch root and twrp, but was slowly and i made wipe. Then system doesn't work. I decide to install again 5.1.1 via nexus tool kit - tablet work. I connected rtl sdr dongle install sdr scanner - it's working. Reboot tablet and it doesn't work. So i tryed to install android 4.4.4 - and i have the same situation (of course have root) first install and sdr is working, reboot and it doesn't work. I have info " no connected device". Before i made wipe and tablet work slow everything worked fine. I use active hub, connect directly to otg cable - the same problem.
I don't have any idea. Could you help me? Dongle sdr connected to computer work.
Regards
Zbigniew
Hello,
i am desperatley in need of a ROM for the 2012 Nexus that supports USB UTG and Charging.
I would be thankfull for every Info with a working Download-Link to a ROM.
Thanks!
I need it too. And I'd like to have undervolting feature. But looks like you should find ROM by yourself and then flash kernel with OTG+power
FWIW I flashed my 2012 N7 with LN14.1 build 20180625-UNOFFICIAL, OTG and charging work fine, however MTP connectivity to Win PC only works when the N7 is booted into TWRP recovery.
See https://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-7/development/rom-lineageos-14-1-nexus-7-2012-t3530261 for download and installation info.
I am also looking for a way to use a music player from usb/powered usb hub/fat32 60G card in dash car mount.
hello guys,
my problem is obvious..
i was using otg to plug my xbox 360 controller and play when i was on latest oreo.
then after i updated to pie, it seems that it doesn't work anymore, when i plug it in and turn on otg, the controller just keeps switching lights and can't be used.
i tried with other controllers (generic joystick controller) and still same problem..
i also tried a mouse & keyboard nd seemed to work fine so its not a connector issue, tried with different otg cables too,.. everything seems to work except controllers..
im on oos pie 9.0.3 (unlocked bootloader & rooted with latest magisk) + blue_sparks TWRP recovery.
soo please help me guys as i can't afford to buy any Bluetooth controllers (
and thanks!
