my s10+ rear camera is more than perfect while the selfy camera before taking the picture the pic is very sharp and looks great but after i take the pic and open it in gallery it is really bad and pixelated what could be the issue?
when i installed a 3rd party camera app it worked fine so i am assuming it is samsung camera app problem
clearing app cache and data didn't help

People, i seem to have a problem, up until a few hours ago picture thumbnails in the album app looked fine... now for some reason they look horrible and discoloured and not in focus but when i tap the thumbnail the picture is fine.. what the hell has happened here? This is just with pictures taken with the inbuilt camera btw, all the other picture thumbnails are fine.
Any help would be appreciated.

We used to get that up until the camera fix from HTC came out, once installed, everything was fine and dandy.

Any photos you have taken prior to installing the fix will still look crappy all the ones after look ok.
I have this too and it effects photos taken AFTER the htofix was installed!
Stock latest lollipop camera works fine, after camera update takes black picture with flash. Uninstalling update fixed the issue.
Cm12.1 same issue with ROM default camera.
Chroma same issue with default camera.
EDIT: found using latest camera on kitkat is flawless. only when on lollipop and latest camera this issue occurs.
Uninstall google camera...use camera360 instead

what i want is a simple no blabla camera that do picture and video, or a fix to this flash issue that takes black picture.
iv got an older google camera and it works fine, but it auto updates so i disabled auto update for now.

here what i found according to my need that is..
1 old version of Google camera
2 open camera (ui is not great specially settings)
3 better camera (paid but worth it)
Google camera and better camera takes same quality pictures, video is better on better camera on low light condition.
i was facing same issue , but i found a solution . you have to press anywhere on the screen first , 2nd time you press on capture button . it works for me
no that just add inconvenience, i found using older version of google camera is far better, just have to see i don't update it by mistake.

So yesterday I was out and I took a few pictures and noticed the camera app was NOT saving them. The front camera worked fine and saved correctly but every time I take a picture with the back camera it seems as though it's taking the picture but doesn't save it.
I updated today to 7.1 and same issue. I tried uninstalling the app updates but still same issue. Any idea? Can I flash the camera app somehow?

You may want to try to download another camera app, or use another app you may already have (i.e.: Snapchat), to see if it's the camera app or the camera itself.

for a few weeks I got a problem with my exynos S7 edge running SuperMan-Rom 2.9.0 (Android 7).
When I use the stock camera app or the camera function of Instagram, WhatsApp etc. the images are very blurry (doesnt look like a problem with the focus). First I thought that the camera module is broken, but when I use the GCam App all works fine and the pictures are very good.
And surprisingly the front camera has the same problem....
Any ideas?
So, facebook messenger's camera vs the phone's camera is laggy.. i never noticed this on any other phone except the LG v20, Iphone 6s+ its fine, and samsung phones its fine, when i record or go to take a picture it lags very bad vs the main camera app on the phone, it only lags when you are in picture mode... Any idea why? And if there is a fix please let me know! ♥
