I hope somebody can help me I've bricked my zenpad 8 I have tpwr installed which I can access I have a backup from another z380m I also have the Asus flash tool, I have also downloaded what should be the stock Android 7 raw file however when I tried to flash it using the Asus flash tool it said it couldn't find the raw so I don't know if there is a problem with the raw file I downloaded. I have since wiped the cache, data, and system with a view to installing the back up from my other device however twrp wouldn't recognize the back up maybe because the serial numbers are different so can anyone give me some step by step instructions on how I can turn the backup into a zip file that I can flash or turn the stock raw file into a twrp flashable zip

I have erase the entire OS from the phone...
what can I do?
HELP me please...
if I flash TWRP the recovery works but all the other stuff desn't work...
have I to send in assistance the phone?:crying:
someone has a fullworking twrp backup ?
Just flash a stock rom back from fastboot, with the stock recovery.
Run fastboot and flash the system.app and the recovery.app from a stock rom, many tutorials are on the forum, for the several EMui versions.
I flash stock recovery but doesn't work
I have the same problem yume-smart has.
I tried to flash through fastboot any possible file extracted from every update.app available on internet.
No way! Of course we must have done something terribly wrong, our fault.
As far as I can see I must have broken 3rdmodem partition and someone suggested that also curver partition must be messed up.
Only thing working: Fastboot, TWRP recovery (if flashed from fastboot) and the Honor 7 is trying to download something through the USB if i do the three button dance to force update. But it hangs at 90%.
I fear I should try to find (if exists) a FULL FLASHABLE ROM like Nexus has or a TWRP Nandroid backup from someone willing to share.
Thanks for suggestions.

I wanna go to the RR MM version ROM for Zenfone 5, but fewmsome days before I decide to do it, my microusb got some kind of bug, anyway, it doesn't connect to pc (I tried everything). So, in the tutorial says to flash the new recovery made by them, but i don't have how to connect it on pc to flash the new TWRP recovery, but I have a funcional system working (the stock .87 version from asus) and I want to know if there's a way that I can flash the recovery without using pc (once that my microusb jack is f*kd). I saw in other forum that "recovery.img" is inside the /factory partition, so apps like Flashify cannot read and write on it. Just droidboot can do that. So this is what I want to know, of there's a way to flash the recovery trough the booted Android and if I can make a script to Droidboot run. (Of course, all of them without pc). Or even if I can flash RRMM on my current twrp version (2.8.7.0)
Thanks xda.
Try to flash it via TWRP 2.8.7.0
"Error flashing image, no partition specified".
Twrp actually doesn't show any partitions to install the image.

I provided flashable zip for my RR MM rom. So you shoudl just choose zip archvie with rom to flash it.
It is not a image.

Oh, I read your post again, i'll try to flash with twrp 2.8.7.0
Sucessful installing ROM, really fast and battery management. Thx
Hello everyone,
I have moto xt1572, it unlockbootloader and rooted. I am using TruPureXMM rom.
Yesterday I flash Dual Stock rom using ADB/Fastboot. After flashed, my phone's internal storage was interrupted. When I boot into TWRP, it show 0 MB, it look like the patition not fomat yet. And I can't flash any rom.zip.
I found there are topic: Restore to stock tool.
So is that work for my XT1572 case
Please help me to fix that.
Thank you so much
Were you using the sd card as internally adopted? That can cause the issue you got when you change rom's. I don't think there is a solution to this.
I've never had a similar problem with this phone, but on some other devices I've had no amount of wiping in TWRP was as effective as a full wipe in the stock recovery. Wiping with stock recovery would fix the internal file system, encryption issues, etc. You might try fastboot flashing the stock recovery and giving it a try, if TWRP isn't working for you.
I fixed this problem by follow guide from this page Rootjunky.
1st
I use RSD lite but it fails
2nd
I use fastboot/adb follow guide
- download file MotoXPureClarkbatchfiles.zip.
- Download stock firmware of moto XT1572
- Extract MotoXPureClarkbatchfiles.zip and stock firmware in same folder
- Boot my phone in bootloader mode, then connect to PC
- And run file FullRestore.bat
It's worked.
Last working state :
1. Android O version WW-15.0410.1803.55
2. Bootloader unofficial unlocked
3. Rooted with magisk
Reason for flashing :
Update to latest Oreo then re-root but flashing failed due to magisk not being uninstalled first
Current state :
1. Able to enter fastboot
2. Twrp is intact
3. Magisk uninstalled using twrp
Actions already taken :
1. Uninstall magisk via TWRP
2. Re-flash WW-15.0410.1803.55 via TWRP
3. Wipe dalvik/cache
4. Factory reset via twrp swipe
Still stuck in bootloop
I'm thinking of flashing Oreo stock recovery prior to reflash Oreo firmware via Asus flash tool. Found Oreo stock recovery image from 15.04.10.1711.6. Is this usable? (Edit : found suitable version and bunch of other versions, big thanks to Iceboy91 on following thread : https://forum.xda-developers.com/zenfone-3/help/request-stock-recovery-boot-img-stock-t3763381 )
But before I do anything even more stupid, I need your advise on correct next moves, guys.
Flash raw oreo via Asus flash tool and all will be fine.

Will Asus FT run properly on TWRP i/o stock recovery? Last time I did it booted to TWRP and I can't proceed. Kindly confirm if it's possible and I'll give it another try. I am left with another option which is flashing corresponding stock recovery and boot image.
To save your time from trial and error recovering from similar problem, here's what I do.
Issues :
1. Flashing raw on stock with TWRP stuck on eternal 'unzip image'
2. Flashing raw on stock ROM with stock recovery and wipe data OFF was successfull but could not enter system (stuck on Asus logo with circling progress).
Also unable to enter stock recovery at this point.
Steps taken to recover from bootloop :
1. Flash corresponding recovery and boot image to replace TWRP (BE CAREFUL WITH SOFTWARE VERSION)
2. Firstly, flash basic Oreo RAW firmware which can only boot to fastboot found on this post : https://forum.xda-developers.com/zenfone-3/how-to/updated-unlock-relock-bootloader-t3749456
3. Flash full RAW Oreo firmware found on the very same post mentioned on #2, but with WIPE DATA SELECTED.
Note : Step 2 might be skippable, up to you to try
Hey ,
If you wanna upgrade to latest Oreo update, just follow these steps (most of the users did not report any kind of bootloop)
1) Flash stock recovery
2) Sideload the latest firmware .zip
3) Reboot and flash TWRP & Magisk
Link for stock recovery/boot images by @shakalaca :

If anything happens, RAW firmware is there for you
Note: Do not remove/uninstall Magisk via TWRP. Flashing latest update will remove Magisk automatically.
Thanks for the tip, my problem has been solved, but better solution is certainly welcomed. Will do when caught in the same situation.
Here is what I do:
Skip automatic update and do it manually through TWRP.
First flash update then reinstall latest magisk in order within TWRP.
Reboot.

AFT just needs working fastboot.
Flashing raw via aft will restore all stuff to stock state.
Twrp will be replaced by stock recovery too.
I wouldn't recommend flashing stock zip via twrp.
Another way to get back to. Stock is to replace twrp by stock recovery (after wiping data, cache, system). Then flash boot.img and finally use update via SD card option from the newly installed stock recovery.
Also you can take twrp backup of stock rom (system, data, boot) and restore whenever you want to go to stock (after wiping system, data and cache).
All methods tried and tested.
I attempted to install LineageOS 17.1 on my Mi A1, but while wiping storage, I accidentally also clicked Internal Storage and wiped it too. Now, I tried to restore my backup but when I go to restart to turn on my Mi A1, it gets stuck in a boot loop. I also tried using XiaoMiFlash and the original ROM to get all the firmware settings to stock. Now, I tried also installing custom ROM again, LineageOS 17.1 but it also gets stuck in a boot loop. Is there anything else I can do?? I'm very frustrated... I hope my device isn't completely bricked. Any help is appreciated.

I have already tried that, the only issue now is that the Custom ROM after installing (LineageOS 17.1) will not boot properly. Maybe this is because I skipped TWRP Recovery? Well, I don't know why but TWRP Recovery zip will not copy into phone storage. it is originally .img file, but the guide I'm following has .zip file so I converted into zip via Windows Explorer (file manager). But, it does not copy and when I use img to zip website converter iand it does copy, but it says "invalid zip file format" once flashing.
One thing I should note, the backup does work now. I had a typo when making the folder so it wouldn't work. Backup does work now, but something really stupid is happening. When I go to turn on screen lock, it will keep looping me into "which type do you want to choose, fingerprint + pin, password, pattern" after completing the process. If I don't choose fingerprint, it finishes but the screen lock isn't effective. Any help on this?

You cannot just convert that image file into a zip file like that.
Where did you get that twrp file from?
If you want to install twrp, you need to flash the twrp.img file via fastboot, then sideload the twrp.zip via trwp.
(maybe just flashing the img file works too, but I often read that you have to do both).
