I currently have my phone through ATT. I have tried to disable getting the emergency text notifications but inside the settings it is grayed out. I am sure this is locked by ATT. Do I need to root the phone in order to silence this notificaiton or will unlocking the phone remove the ATT restrictions? I would love to remove some of the ATT added apps.

I am trying to figure out if there is a way to turn off the feature of my phone that allows the incoming calls to pop up on the screen. I am have a rooted note 3. I found an app called notifications off on the google market but I don't know what to uncheck. I tried the regular phone app and it did not work. Is it even possible to turn this feature off?

I find that when Im using my phone (messaging etc..) and i get a reply or anything, it prompts up on my watch.
Im already on my phone so its a bit unnecessary to get a notification about it on my watch..
Is there a way to disable watch notifications while Im on phone, and then have them re-enabled when my phone is locked

Hi everyone. I just received a new OPT. I have yet to put my sim card in it since I am waiting for a case and some USB-C adaptors, but I have set up all my apps and wifi etc.
The phone is rooted and I have side-loaded Oxygen OS 3.0. There are no other modifications to the phone (xposed, etc.)
When I have any phone lock option active, such as pin, password, or pattern, I am not receiving notifications until I unlock my device. I have tested this with emails, CNN updates, TheScore app updates, and Facebook updates. I will have my Nexus 5 (also locked with a pattern) and my OPT sitting on a table, and my Nexus 5 will vibrate and the LED light will indicate a notification, whereas my OPT will not. As soon as I use my fingerprint or pattern to unlock my OPT, I will get all of the notifications coming in bulk.
When setting the lock parameters, I have ensured to check the "allow all notifications on lock screen" option.
I have tested that this is not a WiFi problem in two ways:
1. When my unlock option is set to none, or swipe, I receive all notifications promptly.
2. When I have enabled Smart Lock, and am in a location or near a device which keeps my device unlocked, I receive all notifications promptly.
I have run out of ideas and would appreciate any assistance.
Change - Settings>Notification > When device is locked > Don't show notification
To - Settings>Notification > When device is locked > Hide sensitive notification content / show all notification content

Edit 2; called the carrier, swore at them for 20 minutes and boom, no more voicemail for me!

I want to get rid of this damn voicemail notification. Clearing data and cache from settings worked for a while but now it's not working.
None of my other notifications will expand because of it and to be frank it's a pain in my tits with or without other notifications, taking up space on the bar with its fugly icon.
Any way via xposed or even changing code somewhere that would stop this pain in my rear end from showing up again?
Edit; disabled voicemail on one carrier, the other carrier won't let me disable it so if there is a way to disable the notifications that'd be swell
What did you say to them that finally had them fix it? It's driving me crazy!!!
I have a Fi eSim and Verizon physical. Both work as designed except for voicemail notification and missed calls. This is on either DSDS line. I can receive calls, pick up voicemail but it won't notify me in the status bar or anywhere else. I've tried pretty much everything out there. Is this a known issue or am I missing something simple?
So I figured out that when I have my esim on Fi and VZW physical sim I don't get VZW vm notifications. If I erase my esim then notifications come thru. Anyone confirm or solution?
edit: Since everyone is so concerned with this issue I'll post the solution. There are a bunch of different notification options in the various programs like Messages and Phone. I was wondering how to change the notification sound in Messages without changing system notification. I was pointed to where you can do that and thought... hmm let me check the phone app. And there was a secondary notification option in the voicemail tab that said "Pop on screen when device is unlocked.. show as a banner on top of screen" That was unticked and when I enabled it the voicemails show up on the notification bar. I'm not sure if it's the default with a single sim but I'm not messing with it any longer.
