Hi, thank you for cooking this DotOS for redmi 4x.
However I have some questions related to the Treble development.
I think that the advantage of treble (from custom rom point of view) is the cross-platform development of roms through GSI's.
So I thought that after the release of the now stable Treble variant of LineageOS (again, thank you for your hard work), there will be a flashable vendor zip/image/something; and on the top of that we can use GSI's.
My point is that I don't really understand why is this Redmi4x DotOS released now, when there is a GSI DotOS.
Of course you are free to do what you want, I just don't see the reason here.
Since the description is rather void about the background, I don't know if this Rom uses the same vendor implementation as your LineageOS build or not. Or is it more up to date? Will your Lineage build be maintained in the future or just this DotOs build? Will (or already is) the vendor part be the same in the 2 roms? Do you plan to release a separate vendor implemantation (headless, without Rom) in the future for Redmi 4x?
Until things do not become clearer I'll use your Lineage build instead. :angel:

Edit : In the meantime I got it repaired by doing a reboot.

Everytime I try to install dotOS, I am faced to the same boring issue : after flashing OpenGapps ARM64 for 8.1 (last version) the Google Services don't work!! Why?? I want to try this custom rom but I can't...

which variant? i've installed pico and i don't have that issue.
did you flashed the gapps right after flashing the rom?

When I flash gapps right after the ROM, it is impossible to boot, it's stuck on bootlogo... So I have to boot once and then install gapps .
I tried with nano, pico and aroma variants, with previous versions too (may 17th) and still the same...
With other custom rom too! But it's weird, last week I installed AOSPExtended with no problem and now it does the same thing! I don't understand...

charging very slow, more than 4 hours use stock charger and QC 3.0 charger --- both 4 hour +

I noticed on every Android 10 custom rom for rosy has this fingerprint bug which you need touch the sensor more than once to make it work. How about this rom?

Well I didn't noticed something like this
Neither I heard anyone reporting this bug/issue in Rosy_Global so I suggest you to go to miui global via fastboot (don't lock your bootloader) and then reflash twrp and rom. If there's something wrong with software of the device, this should fix it (

so you don't see any frameskipping when you pull down notification and open up recent apps? because the stuttering is definitely there. there are many people on this forum and on 4pda that say they have this problem and it happens on ALL 10 roms. so definitely not a problem with the device or flavour of roms. and i always flash fastboot rom before flashing new roms. i guess this phone simply can't handle android 10.

Tho Android 10 roms aren't perfect for now so yeah there can be some shutters possibly

The ROM is very nice but one main problem is about the recovery.?.
It shows 0 MB and says unable to mount /data.
I tried formatting data but no use . Whenever i formatted and flashed the ROM and reboot to recovery it goes back to the same place.
I also tried several methods like flashing lazyflasher after installing the ROM but no change in it .
Plz help me

Use TWRP by doge. It will help you!

Yeah me too, after reboot the os, the sim card not detected. But in my case it could be solved with ejecting and re-inserting both the sim card (sim 1 and 2, dont forget to eject the micro sd 1st)

After eject all sim and micro problem fix permanent or not??

Look... The rom as a whole is pretty complete, I'm still testing a few things, so I can not complete anything for now, but has something sharp bothering me that can not take, even trying to move the keyboard, when reaching that black gap, the keyboard stops before going to the real bottom corner :/ I hope they will launch a fix as soon as possible or give me a solution.
Obs: With the print of the other keyboard to see better.

Edit1: Sometimes when you hit the recent button inside an app, it only shows a screen with a few apps in the dock and the mobile wallpaper.
Edit2: Sometimes I get the feeling that the keyboard or any part of the screen does not work properly on this rom.
Edit3: When splitting the screen, the same problem occurs as "edit1".

this version of gcam solamentw uses google photos, does not allow to use the normal gallery

yes iknow but turn off so soon about 1 minutes or earlier!!

I want to note that this firmware is the best of all on the 10 android
which i tried, others also have problems with the front camera in gcam, I tested extended ui, aex and pixel - the phone can get very hot and restart, everything is fine here, thanks again for the work and I apologize for my bad english

Anyone have any luck getting a PS4 controller to work with this rom? I can get it to connect but it doesn't recognize and button presses.
Thinking may need to try a different kernel but not positive that will help...
Edit - got this working. Needed to put a custom kernel on it and a magisk module.

android auto not working and when connect to car phone hang on balck screen and need to restar
hotspot not share sim data
usb thetring not share sim data

In Redmi 5a with latest magisk and nikgapps, i am getting some bugs:
1) Sound goes dead after some use
2) Youtube is not working properly (both official and vanced youtube, both of them have a stutter lag, without any sound).
3) Same the faced problem in Wave OS 4.3 in redmi 5a
4) Since thago is gone, should we use these roms? or use android 10 roms for redmi 5a?
