LineageOS 14.1 from Daniel.Stuart ( 25th Oct Build is by far best or go for next one which is supposed to be fully stable )
Pros --> Rom having active development and developer is very interactive in replies.
Cons --> No video call in Volte but that is general for all.
[OREO][8.0.0_r33]XPerience 12.0.0 by TeamMex --> It's Oreo so have few bugs but the developer is the best on for Redmi 3s.
Pros --> OTA and latest from Google (oreo 8.0)
Cons --> VOLTE won't work
Most stable ones are below but they are abandoned ( no future development)
Lineage 14.1 from KarthikMostWanted
Darkness Redefined from XiaomiDev
Note --> No rom would give Video calling thr dialer for Volte.
I personally have used all of above for atleast 2 weeks ( except Oreo one which was for a week)
All are good battery and smooth but video calling is must for me I am on MIUI9 Global Developer ROM.

no work on official Lineage OS 15.1 despite several oreo ROMs?

Hi,
I use (official) LinageOS 14.1 in my athene and wonder if there will be ever an official Lineage OS 15.1. In https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g4-plus/how-to/oreo-roms-table-t3717226 I see some activity on several ROMs but non of them seems to be what could be LinageOS 15.1.
Are there plans to get one of the ROMs ready to be official LinageOS 15.1?
Do the creators of these ROMs work together or does everybody tries to solve the same problems again and again?
Are the "LineageOS Device Support Requirements" (https://github.com/LineageOS/charter/blob/master/device-support-requirements.md) to difficult to achieve? If yes what are the exact problems?
Unless blobs for Oreo are out which can be ported to athene it'll be problematic. Lineage 15.1 needs came proper camera working along with twrp and so on as of now without proper blobs those are impossible.
Also, I recall that most Oreo based custom ROMs appear to have permissive SELinux (relaxed permissions about what apps can access from the system). That's not permitted by the LineageOS Device Support Requirements which require devices to be running enforcing SELinux. I'm not sure if custom Oreo ROMs are yet booting with a working enforcing SELinux.

In the official Lineage OS download website there is no more S3 ROMs but I need it... :/ Can someone help?
S3 is no longer officially supported by Lineage OS
You should try the unofficial builds. They are stable and have the latest security patches :good:
LOS 14.1 Unofficial [NZedPred]
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=80066060&postcount=5498 (August 2019)
My post will be outdated, so just search for the latest versions, on the profile of the creator: https://forum.xda-developers.com/search.php?searchid=457449880
LOS 14.1 Unofficial Experimental [orgert]
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=80073598&postcount=265 (August 2019)
Same as above, for the latest versions, go to the orgert profile: https://forum.xda-developers.com/search.php?searchid=457449886
They're both recommended. I was using @NZedPred build for months, they worked perfectly for me. Now I'm testing @orgert experimental builds, and they're also very good.
In both cases, not a single freeze, reboot, error etc., everything works great. Unofficial LOS 14.1 builds are the best choice for Galaxy S3, in my humble opinion.
Experimental version have partial HWC (which in theory could provide better performance and battery consumption, but I don't feel any difference).
If for some reason you need the old (February 2019), last official version, here it is:
LOS 14.1 Official nightly signed 2019.02.17

Thank you very much!

Is there a kernel LineageOS 18.1 which has zram module

Currently, the stock 18.1 LineageOS kernel does not have the zram support (may be upstream should add it??).
Is there a kernel that I can use on Samsung S4 with LOS 18.1 which has zram support? I think with 2GB, its essential that we have zram, otherwise the system seems to become slow with more uptime.

IDK if there is any kernel with zram support compatible with los.
I found this init.d script for zram:
[MOD][for KT kernel TW] Turbo ZRAM 4X swaps!
>>> Welcome to Turbo ZRAM!! turbo ZRAM Script V1.2
forum.xda-developers.com
But it needs a kt kernel for TouchWiz based ROMs.
