Does anyone know if anyone has looked into trying to pull the apk that allows multi window on the note, and trying to port the feature to other devices. The note 2 is an awesome phone and having an upgrade available I'm considering getting it for that feature alone. I am still interested, however, in trying to find out how to get this feature to other devices in the meantime.

I know that if the Note 2 is rooted, there are problems outputting to an HDTV via MHL (e.g., system status cannot be 'modified').
For anyone who has rooted their Note 3, can you still successfully output to an HDTV via MHL? Any issues?

I had a note 2 rooted and had no problem using the adaptor. If I will have time I will test this on my rooted N9005.

Hmm, maybe it was the way I rooted my Note 2 that caused it issues with MHL output. I do know that when I unrooted, I was once again able to output via MHL.

It may have been a ROM issue rather than root as the ROM I used supported it

Please could someone confirm that mhl works also with root? I'm also curious to know if allshare cast dongle works with root.

Just to double-check, with your rooted N3, you can still output to HDTV via MHL without having to plug in the power cord into the MHL adapter, correct?

Been quite a while now and there are still no roms based on CM or AOSP for the N9005?
There's three devs working on it ATM, but I can only remember one guy : Utkanos. Last I heard he got RIL figured out.
I'm getting kinda worried too. But if they could bring CM to the Note 2 (with all the Exynos shenanigans) the Qualcomm Note 3 shouldn't be a problem.

N9005 4.4 Rom
Im a Gummy fan, great work and nice and stable for a 4.4 Rom for QCom Variant of the i9505/i9507.
I'm pushing the Devs to work the N9005 model with this great ROM.
Just purchased the N9005 and cant be without my Gummy!
I m not not a fan of Touch Wiz either Blancos4Lyf, it gives me the S**ts

I was thinking about it but the note 5 is honestly no different in software to our phones now. Note 5 is honestly a fail. Samsung is going down iPhones route, same design and software in every new phone. I'm switching to the Moto X Pure Edition.

Isnt the note 5 sofware a revamped version of our note 4 i much prefer that version of TW
I believe it has theme store in it like s6 i could be wrong but i noticed the apks are there when i was digging around the system dump

They already managed to port some of the S6's apps over to the Note 4, didn't they?
Just give the devs some time, we'll probably get the Note 5 software enhancements soon enough.

What rom?
these should work on almost any samsung 5.1.1 deodexed rom and some seem to work on odexed as well but to my surprise i have read some work on 5.0.x based tw roms as well. To be on the safe side always back up your original apk files

You can check with aida64( from play) - under devices section if you're not sure.

aida tell me that no vulkan device is found
There is a commit in SonyAosp/device_sony_loire for "add vulkan support"
It's been part of a pull request to sonyxperiadev/device-sony-loire since September
Not sure if it works, though
