User claims to have not attempted to root, but cleared the cache via recovery mode previous to it bricking.
Device does not power on nor has any indication of start-up.
Android 5.0 installed, but not sure which of the VZW FWs it has installed.
No download mode (Pwr+Vol-Down+Home) nor Recovery mode
Again, the only indication is when I connect it to my PC via usb, a "QHSUSB_BULK" appears but cannot install.
Have tried this solution,
Flashing an Unbrick.img w/ Win32DiskImager:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/verizon-galaxy-note-3/general/howto-recover-hard-brick-t2834419
*For Note 3, not S5, but didn't quite understand the instructions fully, but tried various settings accordingly.
-Should the SD be a specific format? (ExFat/Fat32)
-Upon running the unbrick creator in recovery on another VZW S5, errors reported were "footer is wrong" and "signature verification failed".
-Specific firmware compatibility?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
From what I understand, you must use a class 10 MicroSD card, and the unbrick image must be from the same model and firmware version as the one you're trying to restore.
Use this Unbrick creator script, if you can't find one for download
If you're not getting ANY display, though, it could be that the phone has truly died, or that the display has died. Keep this possibility in mind.
There is something missing. Wiping cache WILL NOT hardbrick ANY S5.
Alright here you go this is my unbrick image made from my G900V:

Hi, I think I f***** up badly...
I wanted to root my S7 Edge SM-G935F running android 7.0 so I enabled USB debugging and OEM unlock.
I used Odin to flash a CF auto-root I found for the 935F for android 7 and the site just said I had to install SuperSU after that but it was just boot looping.
After that I installed TWRP for my phone and installed the zip with Superuser. I kept receiving the error "failed to mount /data (invalid argument)".
I googled it and found a video that said I had to change my system "file system" from EXT4 to FAT. It was stuck so I rebooted the phone...
Now I can't load TWRP (it's stuck at the loading screen) to do a factory reset and when I do a normal boot it doens't go further than the S7 Edge screen, it doesn't go to the flashing SAMSUNG screen.
Now when I choose to reboot in Odin mode it says "An error has occurred while updating the device software. Use the Emergency recovery function in the Smart Switch PC software."
I tried to do that but it says "unsupported device" and it doesn't see my phone in the Emergency Software Recovery tab.
I could have done a factory reset before but it's not the first time I root a phone and I never had a problem so I didn't back anything up but I have some very important pictures on my phone for school.
I enabled adoptable storage so I couldn't just take out the 128gb Samsung Pro + micro sd and copy the pictures on my pc.
Can somebody please tell me how to factory reset my S7 Edge even if I lose all my data. Sorry for my English it's my third language.
Thanks in advance
If I can remember correctly the "An error has occurred while updating th......." screen is actually the same as download/odin mode, so you can odin flash back stock rom.
Your data has probably already been lost during file system changing which automatically format /data.
Also I have never seen any phone run on FAT file system. S7 only support EXT4 and F2FS(required custom rom and kernel). So be careful next time.
AFAIK, there's currently no root available on stock nougat touchwiz rom unless you use modified kernel&rom.
For TWRP to be able to read /data.
/Data need to be FORMAT in TWRP once to remove encryption, so that TWRP can read it.

yeah iv done the same
so turns out i have done exactly the same as you did here
what did u do to fix this

Hello my friends,
I recently tried to root this device using Chainfire root through Odin and it succeeded, but sadly the device entered a restart loop and didn't recognized the stock recovery.
A guy flashed a sort of firmware on it (i don't know how) and it works but the something wrong with the storage: at the "Device Maintenance" window from the device it show 16GB but through the Smart Switch and the PC it shows 9.77GB????
Moreover, I tried to flash TWRP recovery, it works but the storage is 0mb??????????
Any suggestion please?
Thank you

Hello,
I rooted my s8 a few months back, and recently had no use for it, so decided to uninstall it.
I uninstalled root from Magisk Manager (I tapped the Uninstall button after opening the app), and it restarted my phone. That's when the boot loop started.
My phone kept on showing the Samsung logo, but I could open the TWRP recovery screen.
I tried to follow some steps and flash the stock firmware onto my Samsung, but windows refused to recognize my s8, telling me that the "USB device is not recognized". and that the "Last USB device you connected to this computer malfunctioned". So I'm basically screwed. I should also mention that I also have access to the Download screen.
Is there any way to send the firmware over to my phone without connecting it to my laptop?
Thanks!

A few things you could try :
In recovery :
wipe cache,/dalvik.
Reinstall magisk and see if it boots. If it does then flash the uninstaller through TWRP.
Factory reset
Flash full firmware with Odin.
With the error on windows I have had this issue because of the USB lead try a different one and make sure your Samsung drivers are up to date.

Hey!
I wiped the cache/dalvik and factory reset, but it still put my phone in boot loop.
As for reinstalling Magisk, I have no idea how to do that since I have no access to the Magisk zip and whenever I search in the Install section of the TWRP menu I cant find it either.
Also, my Samsung drivers are up to date, and I even bought myself a new data cable but windows still shows the error message, so I cant flash stock firmware using Odin.
What should I do?

To re-install magisk you will need a SD card. Put card into PC copy files ( magisk zip, magisk app and uninstaller ) from this link below then put the card back into the phone. Flash magisk zip in twrp or try the uninstaller zip.
https://github.com/topjohnwu/Magisk/releases
As for the PC issue without seeing the pc it's a bit hard to diagnose.
Others things you could try;
Re-install latest Samsung drivers ( and reboot PC )
Make sure you are plugged directly into a USB 2 port on PC ( no USB hubs )
Try another USB lead ( I know you bought a new one )
Try another PC ( will need Samsung drivers )
Also since you have done a factory reset does TRWP still read you data partition ( a factory reset will re-encrypt your phone )
