I have two Wii Remote Plus(not normal wiimotes) lying around is it possible to use them as vr controllers (like daydream controllers and gear controllers) since they have gyroscope and accelerometer in them?

I wanted to post a quick note about game controllers for the Note.
Can't speak for everybody, but I have found in hard to find definitive information on what gamepads will or won't work with the Note. I had previously tried all different combinations. Xbox wired controllers. Wiimotes over bluetooth, and even 2 different Onlive controllers. In all cases the results were mixed.
So, I sort of gambled and bought a Wired Sony Sixaxis controller. It works perfectly! This is a Sony branded official Playstation controller.
For the record, its a wired version, I connected to the Note with an USB OTB adapter. It connects from the mini USB port with a female USB end.
I was able to use the controller for several Android Market games, including Grand Theft Auto, and Shadowgun. Also, I connected to Onlive and was able to use the controller without issue.
I have not tried any emulators (not my thing) and I found at least one game that "should" work does not. That's PES 2012. In fairness, I may not have the right version. In theory, anything Xperia Play Optimized on the Market should work.
The best part was that I got the controller for $30 at my local gamestop.
Hope this helps someone.
Don't know if this works with wired controllers but has some nice extra features for wireless sixaxis controllers.
- Keyboard emulation. Map all buttons and sticks to almost any key available in Android.
- Mouse emulation. Configure a button to activate the mouse pointer on devices that support mice (most tablets, and many phones should work).
- Touch emulation allows you to map buttons and analog sticks to the screen. Play all your favourite games with full analog support, even those without built-in controller support!

Have seen this but haven't tried it, looks like it adds the same features as the sixaxis app.

How did you get SixAxis and the PS3 controller to work on Shadowgun?
I have the app, PS3 controller and connect wirelessly via Bluetooth. The controller paired just fine with my AT&T Note. I fired up Grand Theft Auto and the controller works just fine with no additional setup.
For Shadowgun, though, nothing works.
I was thinking you could connect the classic controller to the wiimote as it's paired to the nexus? please go into decent detail as I'm new to the emulator/ controller game with the nexus 7

Classic controller works well on all my emulators.
Sent from the matrix. (or my phone)
Im at wits here, I tried Sixaxis with no luck to get DualShock 4 controller to work and so as the Wiimote and Wired PS2 controller.
Anyone know or have got it working themselves?
or I have to spend $80-100 for a controller for it?
thanks!
Samsung has blocked Sony's ds4 controller since their marshmallow update on Samsung devices.
It only makes sense to force consumers to purchase Samsung's own gamepad, unfortunately.
I can confirm it used to work with Android Lollipop.
I have a MOGA pocket bluetooth controller somewhere , but it's nowhere near as nice as the nvidia shield controller. I have sideloaded a couple apps that want to use a moga controller , and while I'm sure I could attach a moga controller to the Shield Android TV, it seems ridiculous to have to do that when a superior controller exists as standard. Some games (I own the Need for speed game) only allow touch, motion, or moga.. and it would not allow me to use the shield controller. Anyone got any ideas? there are apps that make the moga work on games not made for it, but I've yet to find a way for the shield controller to pretend to be a MOGA
This would be very useful for what i need it for too, i want to play NOVA 3 and it has moga support and sort of recognises the shiled controller as moga wierdly, but again the issue with the right analog stick being a mouse and not being able to map the buttons. So the app to make shield tv think shield controller is MOGA would work for a lot of games we otherwise would not be able to play. very useful
is there anywhere I should request such a thing be made? I mean, I can't donate toward it right now... but I'd be interested in proving there is interest for such a feature or app made available to shield devices.
Yeah I think it has to do with the Shield being Wi-Fi direct instead of Bluetooth. Im pretty sure someone could hack it via root.
Here are my devices:
1. Vizio 4k V series TV (no BT only IR and WiFi)
2. Vizio Soundbar (SB4020E-AO; IR)
3. Playstation 4
4. Nvidia Shield 2017
I'd like to control everything with a remote. I understand I could go the Harmony route but was wondering if there was a solution by purchasing an older tablet with a IR blaster in which I could download a Universal TV remote app. Controlling the PS4 with a remote is not a big deal as I only use the PS4 for gaming so when using it I'm going to grab the DS4 controller anyway.
This would provide a large remote that is well lite in a dark environment and would allow me to controll all the devices, give me a BT keyboard for kodi searching, perform Chrome casting on the Nvidia Shield etc.
Does anyone have any thoughts as to:
1. What would be the best tablet with an IR blaster to purchase (would prefer a 8" sized screen)
2. What would be the best app to use to control the TV, soundbar and Nvidia Shield.
Thanks!
