ADMIN PLEASE DELETE, FOUND PROPER THREAD... SORRY
I don't know if anyone else found this problem.
I am on o2 and Friday evening installed the HTC HD2 Sim Contact update on my phone which also updates the radio.
It seems every text I sent since the update had not been recieved (although it was shown as sent). I uninstalled the update about 30 minutes ago and reset the phone and all the text were then recieved; it was as if they were just backed up.
I was, however, able to recieve texts to my phone.
About 30mins ago my gf tells me here phone is showing a new update icon, so she shows me and I see it, kinda strange since the AT&T version never gets an update. So it says we need to have a mobile connection to update, so I turn the wifi off and put the mobile connection on and tap the update. Nothing happens.
I than realize I need to plug the phone to my laptop and use the software, so I do that and now its saying I can only check for updates once every 24hrs. So I set the clock up a few days, some error message. I mess with time, same error message.
So looks like im waiting 24hrs, but did anybody get this update today too? My gf has the AT&T version of the Xperia x10, 2.1-update 1 base.
I guess u got the update for gingerbread.
I have been using my S7 Edge since March 2016 and has been refusing new updates, including the Nougat 7.0 update successfully with no issue until recently. It started a few days ago,, when all of a sudden it started to download the OTA on its own without my knowledge, initially using my home WIFI but but two days ago, it started to download OTA using mobile 4G data, depleting more than half of my monthly data quota. this is totally insane and secret downloading process keep coming back everynight to download god know what. I noticed that the notification message shows that the Nougat Update is only 1.3gig in size but since last Wednesday, the SAMSUNG SOFTWARE UPDATE service has downloading a whopping over 10gig of data, all tracked down and recorded by MY DATA MANAGER app, which I had running constantly to monitor my mobile data usage.
Anyone has encounter similar force-feed update and/or know what could possibly be wrong and where should I start looking for a possible solution ?
P/S: I am not rooted and already has BK Package Disabler to disable the Software Update service, which manage to remove the notification message and pop-up, but doesnt seem to be able to disable the unauthorised, unrequested package download by the SOFTWARE UPDATE service.. HELP !!!!!
My S10+ will not detect the day one OTA update. I check every day and it says software up to date even thought its still on G975USQU1ASAT. AT&T says to contact Samsung and Samsung says to contact AT&T. Anyone else had this problem or have any idea how to fix it? I've already tried factory reset, clearing cache and data on the updater apps with no luck.
Do you need to be connected to WiFi or have a certain battery level? Try charging to 100% and connecting to WiFi then manually search for the update.
What I had to do is go into the date and time and shut off auto time update and manually set it 2 days a head then mine found the update.

Two options:
1) Borrow someone else's sim or ask At&t for another
2) Download the S10+ OTA and update via SD
Did you put the sim that came with it in? I used my old sim and had the same problem till I changed the sim card.
Sorry for the late response and thanks for the suggestions. Just returned from vacation so I will try the suggestions. Also yes I used the sim they sent me. I suspect something got messed up in the sim provisioning as I came in as a new line then ported my number in. I will try putting my wife's sim in and report back. Thanks again!
Mine wouldn't detect an update. I'm only using mine on wifi as this one is just a spare phone for now.
To get the update though I needed to put in my att dim and put the date a week in the future. That's the only way I was able to actually get it to check the server.
I'm having the same exact problem. I purchased my S10+ directly from Samsung, but it was the AT&T model. I've been stuck on the ASAT baseband with the Feb 1 Security patch since day 1. I've been on the phone/chat with AT&T for the last 3 days. Each time they've promised that they have pushed the update to my phone, and every time I check, I get the "Software is up to date" message. I just tried setting the date to next week, restarted, and checked for the update..still nothing.
The same thing happened to me with my Note 8, but I was able to get around it using ODIN. I've told AT&T that I'm not paying my bill until this is resolved (like that's gonna do anything). Anyway, I'm at the breaking point on this, and not getting anywhere fast.
I don't know what's going on with my phone Nokia 6.1 Plus but I'm facing trouble with the Google News Application since a month!
I had disabled Google News on my phone. Previously, it was getting Enabled by itself @ exact 6.20am. when I visited the service centre, they took it for around 3-4 days and returned to me saying that they found no issue with my phone. But now, I'm facing the same issue again but the application gets ENABLED exactly @ 10.55am
My phone's still under warranty and if I remove the application using root access, upcoming OTA updates will be disabled. I don't know how to get rid of this.
Any suggestions?
