Hi everyone,
My friend owns a note 4 910c (exynos edition) anf yesterday he saw me his battery stats and told me he has a prob but i couldnt help him so i visiti my beloved xda and its beloved communication. I saw that his android system used about 33% of the battery life and his SOT only 15%. The phone had that perticular moment 24% battery with 1 hour SOT and 11 hours after last charged. I havent seen such poor battery life, ever! I had a note 3 and i had 6 hours SOT with 24 hours usage, my nexus 6 now has about 4 SOT and 24 hours usage. Any help would be super

note 4 low battery drastically drains
Hi. Ive been noticing some anomaly on my galaxy note 4(sm-n910c/lollipop) battery. When it goes down to about 20%, it starts to drastically drain itself. So rapid like 1% per 10sec. Maybe there's someone out there who encountered the same problem or knows the fix. Advanced thanks
No Samsung Again
I have the same problems.
I made a factory reset but the issue didnt solve.
Samsung should be shame and we should stop buying Samsung.

Minor battery drain in note 5 pro
I have noticed 5-6% battery drop in idle 8-9 hours which i feel is on much higher side from nougat viewpoint.
I had lineage OS 7.1.2 in redmi note 3 previously and battery drain was only upto 1-2% overnight.
Well, even I've experienced a 5% of battery drain overnight. May be it's the issue with the stock kernel. Guess it'll be fixed soon by Xiaomi else a custom kernel will do the job.
Im using redmi nite 5 pro 6 gb variant. Im a moderate user and I face a heavy standby drain. It drains 5% while I use it just for watching videos in 15-20 minutes. Kindly reply if you face the same problem
I am on redmi Note 5 Pro 6 GB variant
Night time battery drain is as you mentioned shamefull
5-10%
And even with Battery Scene as sleeping the drain is not limited much (~5-7%)
rooting phone and coustom recovery affect the battery life of xiaome redmi note 5 pro
i notice like 6 % battery dranage overnight in sleep mode
Has anybody tried Greenify with "Aggressive Doze" and "Doze on the go" enabled?
I had 8% battery drain on wifi on idle for 6 hours. I would call it a fair.
I charge my phone once a day in the evening when in decreases to 20%, not exceeding above 80% takes me about 1 hour.
I have the global version phone, miui V9.5.6.0, I went to sleep with 80% battery, woke up with 79%.

Same for me. Wifi, GPS, data and bluetooth ON. Overnight mine drains 1-2%. Quite impressive
Mines draining quite a bit. I'm on the s636 Note 5 Global. Not sure if it's WhatsApp or Google etc causing it. I'm tempted to do a hard reset and see. I'm on MIUI 9.5.6.0 are there any guides on how to optimize the ROM? With light use I'm getting 1 day+ down to 40% but was expecting it to be better as I can see others have done so too.

No.. without any data... actually im getting good battery life (10hr+ SOT). you can check screen on time thread for battery results
It's amazing how much we actually use our phones in a given day, especially when we watch "videos"! Rate this thread to express how many hours of screen-on time you can get on the Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite before depleting the battery.

Some user on youtube got 10h of screen on time during 2 days of usage. seems so promising.

wake up this morning at 6 am, batt at 100%, now at 7 pm, batt at 4%. screen on time is 6 hrs and 17 minutes.
heavy use of gmaps, Spotify, WhatsApp, few phone calls.
aod on, location on, Bluetooth on.
gmaps 20%, Spotify 20% WhatsApp 20%, rest is misc, browsing, news apps, etc,
put most app to sleep..
signal quality is average using 4g auto, no WiFi at all.
today heavy use as well similar like yesterday, screen on time only 5 hrs, battery is at 11%, probably only reach 5.30 hrs sot.., only difference is. yesterday is charged by slow charger whole night long, whereas today begin with fast charging 1 hr. I will continue the experiment tomorrow with slow charging again tonight
Totally weird this much difference between slow and fast charge. Totally waiting for you additional test results. And sot changes much after first week. Let's see.
today starts at 7 am, slow night charging.. now 10 pm battery at 18%, 5.30 hrs sot.. moderate use today, not so heavy, 50% WiFi use.., probably around 6hrs and 30 min sot again if I wait till zero..
so far so good, battery lasts whole day long during normal moderate use, don't need to charge during the day.. device never get warm as well..
will post again next week and update after a week of adjustment if its get better sot..
starts at 6 am today, now time is 11 pm
battery left 16%, screen on time is 6 hrs and 30 minutes..
moderate office use, WiFi about 70%, location on, aod on, a bit of gaming as well, very good indeed..

is it the smaller note 10 exynos? there are few sacrifices u have to make though, I believe spec wise beside exynos and battery life, note 10 is above s10 lite.., and also do use s pen?
is carrying an extra charger or charging at the office /car not possible? I would recommend you to wait and upgrade to the note 11 snapdragon instead
if u don't use s pen and some spec downgrade, then u can make the switch as trade in price is quite good. do it now before price is going down by the day..
I was using note 9 exynos, and I don't use s pen that much..

Exynos version, i dont use the s pen, i deactivated the s pen functions for a better battery life, sync too!
The important things for me are battery life and performance. Previously i had the huawei p30 (no pro) decent battery life and performance, arround a 6 - 6,5hs sot and an average of 1,5days between the charges., always in performance mode.
All day in the office, i can charge before left the office but is very annoying for me, charge twice in a day (in the morning 8am, and in the afternoon 4pm before leave the office) i dont charge overnight.
I'll sacrifice the ip rating, wireless charge, stereo speaker, camera for a better battery life, maybe? Today, huawei is not a option because the newer devices lacks of google services and the paralel intalls methods aren't 100% compatible with the apps like netflx.
I would like the p40 if recover de google services, but for now its a viable option the s10 lite. The reviews of the s20 series are bad in battery life too

yes, forget about Huawei devices for now, s10 lite is actually the best battery life performance device from Samsung right now, beating Huawei p30 even as I know I can reach 7hrs sot with s10 lite..
I use slow charging method for my s10 lite (7-8 hrs slow charge at night) as it improve battery life sot by 1 hour instead of using the 1hr fast charge method..
I don't miss my note 9 exynos, typing with one hand is now possible because of s10 lite weight.. I miss my v30 though.., if only the v30 battery life still good, I probably will still using it till now... it last 3hrs sot before I switch to note 9 exynos..
v60 is coming out so theres that option as well.., I almost got the oneplus 7t before as it has good battery life, however the amoled color and contrast is a bit dull, similar to iPhone 11 pro max display
anyway stay away from exynos if possible.. clearly not worth it, inferior battery life and heat problem as well
starts at 7 am today, now 11pm , battery left 10%, screen on time is 8hrs.., aod on, location on, WiFi 70%, average signal 4g, WhatsApp and Spotify takes around 35%, the rest is etc YouTube gaming, services..., so might last 8.30hrs sot, very good
@dvdwyn Thanks for sharing your SoT and battery life results. Just wanted to let you know, that the community really appreciates you reporting your findings.
Great SOT over period of 72h, AOD tap to show, wifi on, lte, nothing disabled. Currently on feb security update. Mostly Viber, Whatsapp, Youtube, games.:good:

If you are using Exynos 4g model than tough luck. My max sot is 4h
Im testing still (today is the first full day with It)...
...but It seem than It consums several battery in sleep mode.
This night at 3 am It had 100%. At 7:00 am I waked and It had 92%.

I am seeing unusual battery drain with my snapdragon version. 16% in 9 hours is way too much. My S20 plus never used to do that. I also give samsung phones time to settle down with battery usage and it's been 1 week since I got it, so it should have been pretty settled by now.

Yeah, I got my FE 5G a couple of weeks ago and the IDLE battery drain is a bit much... Also, anyone else experiencing a lot of battery drain when in 120hz mode? The reviewers said that it was minimal, but I found at least a 2 hour increase in battery life when I set it back to 60hz...

Hello, I've like 3-4% max overnight in a area with 1-2 out 5 GSM signal strength
Try to put it in Airplane mode and see the consumption in the morning - you should have max 1%

So far I have: 4h40 SOT on 120 hz and 6h20 SOT on 60 Hz - down to 15%, dark mode, WIFI only, Location On, Battery in Optimized mode
As battery drain per hour GSAM Battery shows me 2-3%
I had 5-6% on S20 Plus Exynos
I have mine for several months. First time Samsung user and not a heavy user. I go by the 80% rule, charge to 80% whenever I can using GSM Battery Monitor / AccuBattery. Overnight, battery will drop from 74% to 60% or less. I thought there is something wrong with my phone. I checked battery usage from time to time, system and Android uses upwards to 25%~30% over 8 hour period. This is regardless if I have cell on or in Airplane mode or WiFi off / on.
After reading your comments, I realized it's something that Samsung has done to make it consume more battery than necessary. I am not sure what I would do next. But I am done with Samsung.
