Tried adding your APN Settings?
Can someone that have the LTE option in settings upload the build.prop?

Temporary solution.
I found a temporary solution. With ROM Toolbox Pro i edited the build.prop. In the entry ro.telephony.default_network i changed the default number(9) and put 11 (you could try with 13). If i reboot i lost the 4g and i should setting in mobile networks.
It´s a good idea someone with no problems in 4G to post the build.prop file. Cheers.
You need be root.
There is no toggle for just 4G. In network preferences, where you restrict what kind of networks it can connect to, you need to set it to the one at the top which accepts LTE. The others do not.
I don't know how it is at your end, but in Sweden you need to pay for a 4G plan as well. If you don't have one, no 4G, AFAIK.

I have a UK 4G ( EE) enabled sim already. I know this because EE is a 4G Network and it works great in Samsung S4 but i still have this problem with the G2.

It is a pleasure to be able to help you.
A friend who also has the LG G2 (D802 EUR) has the option displayed in its LTE network settings.
I don't have this option. Our software versions are different, he bought his G2 in an operator, I buy unlocked in the shop.

I think its a software problem. Maybe next updates solve the issue.
I have an unlocked D802 and had the same problem, with no option for LTE althoguh I had a 4G sim.
I found this on another thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2443169
"1) Go to Phone, just enter following command,
*#*#4636#*#* (no need to press Green Dial Button after this).
2) Once you enter last *, Testing menu will appear. From that menu, select "Phone Information"
3) Scoll down little and you will see "Set Preferred network type". There is dropdown at this location which shows all the networks.
Just note,This is testing menu. It will show all the options like CDMA/WCDMA, GSM, LTE etc. It does not mean that all the networks are supported.
Just insert LTE sim and change option of preferred network from above list to LTE only and check if that works."
I tried it and it works! - went straight on to 4G.
Big thanks to member yogG2 for that

I had the same issue with d80210b-SEA, until i flashed the EUR after following the guide and downloading the stock image from
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476
i was able to then enable LTE from prefered networks. which stays after reboot.
Well temporery solutions are good, but I just flashed a stock rom for EUROPE, as i had some TWN istead of EUR, this solved all prolems. 4G is eneable, visible in wireless settings etc.

I then flashed it with UK open D80210B however still don't have the LTE option so just curious what stock you downloaded
Anyone's help greatly appreciated
Thanks

My phone is gt-I9505 and its on 4.2.2 XXUBMEA JDQ39

Hi. I am guessing you are on ee. I had same thing when I flashed a custom rom. Turned out I just had to setup manually. Just Google ee settings or what ever network you are on and setup. Hope this helps!!
Thanks I'm actually on the o2 network if this makes a difference?

Wouldn't of thought so mate. Just Google O2 apn settings and follow instructions. Usually quite simple..
Thanks for the advice tried the different apn settings but nothing happened
Ended up getting no data network at all
Sent from my GT-I9505 using xda app-developers app
Sorry to here that mate. Did you press the + sign before setting up new apn?. If you did you should be able to go back to original apn settings.. otherwise you can just reset apn settings.. setting up manually worked for me..sorry

Thank, but I'm not so noob in this things. I've done all of standart procedures, that allways recomended in this cases.
So I've been reading about how users here are able to edit their apn under settings on firmware PF2 but im on PF2 also and all my apn's are greyed out, along with the "add" button. I've read that users dont have to be rooted in order to change their apn's, so im not rooted either and I still cant edit them. Is there something that I'm missing? Does it have something to do with a my msl and a edit in my dialer under the ##data## menu?

you have to be rooted now to do it. Supposedly some people had access to it straight out of the box but lost access to the apn settings after updating there software.

So wait a minute, other users are on the same firmware im on, which is PF2, and they claim to be able to change their apn settings without root, so how can they change their apn settings without root on firmware PF2 when im on the same firmware, PF2 , and i still cannot change those damn apn settings? Im not rooted either... what the heck is going on? Lmao....

I had this problem as well. Once I rooted the phone, I lost the APN settings. Still, I had root so I downloaded Xposed Framework then installed the Gravity Box module.
Once in Gravity Box it will allow you to alter your APN settings accordingly. Give it a try.
or you can use the app shortcut master lite to change apn settings without Xposed and gravity box.
