GT540 unusual bricked

Well I know you are tired of this kind of threads but this is really strange. Im going to tell the thigs Ive done and hope to resolve this.
Last week I bought this phone and update android from 1.6 to 2.1 successfully and rooted. Used for a day and realised that the phone memory was low because of the apps and games Ive installed so I decided to use app2sd. Completed all the steps and selected Full app2sd and after a few hours noticed that the apps run slow because of the sd speed so I tried to run again app2sd and selected Basic app2sd (without removing, maybe that was the big mistake).
After that my phone is stucked in android loading screen. I can accses to download mode and tried differents ways of reflashing but nothing works (I noticed when flashing with KDZ that the phone reset after the KDZ show FINISHED) and sometimes the "conect to pc animation" apeared or lg screen stuck. Now im trying in XP instead of 7.

I have the same problem (phone stuck in loop at android logo afters app2
sd ) only think worked was flashing it with one of ROMs with Fastboot and recovering image in fastboot mode (in my case I need to install phone again on my PC when in Fastboot mode diffrent drivers) PM me if you have problems gathering things to do that.

Well to resolve this what Ive did was using the 2.1 Black quarx rom with recovery, so after install booted with fastboot and installed the black screen drivers after that open flash.cmd and the phone boot with the rom.

Hard brick which cannot be unbricked by following forum tutorials.

Hi, I spotted a big problem today.
After getting installed my cloudy g2 with dorimanx kernel and some tweaks I decided to reflash those in cause of that I thought I regret installing one of the mods which I prepared to install before. I made factory reset and installed stuff, after this my phone boot loops, no entering recovery mode and also fast boot mode is starting with those white titles, not normally. I mean that is showing Fastboot mode started etc.
The biggest problem is that my computer is ain't recognizing my phone in device manager and also in disk manager I can't see this disk with many partitions. Because of that all two tutorials which were made for getting out of that brick, I mean no recovery, no download mode demanding to get device in disk manager or see this device in device manager as qualcomm or qhsusb_bulk I can't do nothing.
Also they want to get some of files included into stock firmware depending on that which version I had before brick, there is next problem because I had cloudy.
I would be grateful if someone can help me, thanks in advance.

Hi everyone i was trying to upgrade my phone's os which is 6.1 to 7.1. i did it with the help of TWRP which failed and my phone was working in recovery mode and. Later was strucked in boot loop. Later i was trying to flash stock rom. But my phone got bricked. It's off for several days it doesn't respond to pressing power buttons nor does it responds to connecting to charger. But while i connect it to computer the new usb added sound comes from computer.
I'm really strucked guys help me out. Every video i see online is for phone which are strucked in boot loop. I'm sure if I'm able to reach that state I'll make it working but for instance ineed to revive it. My friend says i have deleted bootloader how can i put it back ?. Also we disassembled it and assembled it again. It also didn't work.

Well you did something stupid. Upgrading from MM to Nougat without clean flash? Also flashing stock rom with TWRP? Well you can't revive anymore.. If you really Hard bricked buy new phone

any luck reviving your phone? isn't there something like Odin for ASUS to reflash stock rom back?

Search youtube for asus zenfone max 8939 you will find twrp and 7.0 custom rom. My phone is zenfone max 2016 and I'm using resurrection remix rom.

SM-950F Hard bricked, JTAG?

So I was flashing android 7.0 to an S8 and it completely died, this is how completely:
- No screen/LED/vibration motor
- No safety/recovery/download mode (and don't ask about button combos, I've tried them all)
- No USB recognition from device manager (not even as exynos in other devices, just nothing)
- USB jig does nothing
- It is however recognised by wireless chargers (but I doubt that has any real significance)
At this point my question is would a JTAG even work on it? Or is my only hope a complete motherboard replacement?

same happened to me ......dont worry i will help u....
i think u flashed aosp rom
phone is not hard bricked its still not turned off believe me........
do the following:
donot charge phone for atlesat 24 hours .......
after 24 hours try to boot into download mode press button for like a minute it will work in multiple tries,,
immediately flash twrp and when flashed successfully suddenly press vol down + bixby + power it will boot into recovery
charge for 1 -2 hours , clear system and every thing if you have backup thats good other wise flash firmware......donot turn in till flashing the system and data in recovery mood......boot into download mood from recovery and there you go....if still a problem inbox me

Jtag dead phone to life and rewrite IMEI
I had the same thing, sent it to Fonefunshop in England, they said they could fix it, the didn't even open it as discovered by the guys who fixed it and is necessary to use jtag.
Fonefunshop said eMMC chip was bad, which is not true, but that led me to search for someone to replace the chip. I found A2Z cellular in Ottawa, Canada. They got the phone to boot up, but IMMEI was null( I did this trying to flash back to stock after TWRP screwed up). They rewrote original IMEI , now phone works like new. These guys are amazing.

But I have now managed to unbrick and reflash the firmware. khawarjaved's advice turned out to be what fixed it in the end.
That was close, nearly lost £30

I'm in kind of a similar situation....I think I flashed MY 950U PIE with wrong BL
This phone is dead....Doesn't boot...no download mode....No recovery mode....
When connected to pc....device manager Recognises device as QUALCOMM HS USB 9008
Any way to brig it back to life...?

Your phone is connected in edl download mod. It will accept special files which will allow it to boot to download mode and let you flash stock firmware
The tool used for this is emmcdl.exe
It has to come with phone specific files
No idea where to get it. Ask people here, those who root phones. They know.

ALE-L21 Board Software Bricked please help!

Hello, Dear XDA-Developers.
I was trying some custom ROMs but when I installed Viper4Android and flashed it using Magisk the phone stucks on boot
However I have another problem, I found out that the internal storage of my phone got too small after upgrading into another version of Android, so I wanted to get back to Android 5 stock firmware completed to format the internal storage and not partitioning it as I thought so I tried to flash it in TWRP recovery but sadly after that I bricked the bootloader and the recovery. Next, I decided to flash a board image ALE-L02&L21&L23_MAA001077_Board_Software_general_05021SJN using IMAGE Download Software - IDTML01Ver1001, Still, the process got interrupted maybe because the phone was restarting itself and now I'm getting a screen that shows error after showing Huawei Ascend logo. Is there any chance to fix this dead phone but consider that my pc is no longer detecting the driver that I used to flash the board image, and I can't even turn off the phone now except if I let the battery dies.
Notice: I don't dare to use test points if there is no other choice how much it usually costs to fix it?
