Hi a while ago I've imported a redmi note 3 pro from China to Canada. Everything else is working fine but I've had this for a month already and the updater app tells me that I have no new OTA updates which is rather weird, since we're supposed to get miui updates very often. Do u guys know why it's happening? Is it due to a locked bootloader or the fact that some resellers have blocked OTA updates via the updater app? By the way I also tried to flash a ROM from the miui website for this device but it didn't work either so please help

Hi,
i'm having the same problem but mine is running the miui global 7.1.99.99 and is quite weird since there is the global 7.2.9 version available... if i try to force updating it trough flash or the same update app downloading the mentioned version it say "can't verify update" wich is weird since i downloaded it from the xiaomi official website...
Anyone know anything about this?

Bro Your Device is running Reseller custom ROM you need to Flash Official ROM manually using Mi Flash Tool and then you can get Regular OTA updates...!!
you and OP both can Follow this guide
http://en.miui.com/thread-235865-1-1.html
Just Flash Global stable or Chinese Stable as per your Preference and then you should be able to get Regular Updates....!!
Hello.
So I got the pie ota about a week ago but I didn't update. It was available for a few days but now it is gone.
I'm still on October 5 version.
Phone is all stock - locked bootloader.
Anyone with the same issue? Was that supposed to be the official global rollout so everyone has it now?
Tried some googling but I can't find any similar reports.
Probably removed, had a lot of bugs. Dont worry
Sent from my Mi A2 using Tapatalk
Flash last version.
the same here update came i was on cafe wifi downloades about half but did not complete
went home after some hours and update was gone
tried to check for update and says there is no update
hope that was removed due to bugs

I've been waiting for version 10.3.9 for days and today I find it, that the truth was not waiting for me one more number being the same xD, but I saw that this version only came out in 7 Pro (India) (10.3.10 PFHINXM) But im global, It's nothing alarming, but I would like to know if there is any reason
I just got it too
Still on 10.3.6 here with the Global version
Got the OTA, rebooted, OrangeFox quit with an error, and now I'm on 10.3.6 and says no new updates available.
This update just came out today. Patch notes state April security patch and "general" improvements. I installed it and surprise surprise, STILL no Always-On Display (AOD) 6 months after unlocked version got it. Lesson learned, never buying a carrier branded device again.
No issues with the update otherwise I take it?
This is why I finally did a bootloader unlock and flashed the international software. Now I'm on the beta have a more up to date security update and all the features.

It's as stable as any of the other Android 11 updates. Rarely it loses bluetooth connection to my car but it's been like that for me since the first Android 11 update. Launcher still stops responding for 15 seconds if I try to lock the screen right after disabling work profile. That's been a problem since the first Android 11 update too though.

Are you on Tmo? Still getting 5g service? I need to switch from this new update to a global ROM - any advice on which steps to take?
Check this thread to convert to global. Happy modding!
[ROM][STOCK][FASTBOOT][OP8] Stock Fastboot ROMs for OnePlus 8

Yes OTA update works just fine if you convert tmo device
I bought few Poco M3 (for old family member) and after MIUI 12.0.11.0 just one of them is getting 12.5 update (bought all of them from Poco/Xiaomi and all EAA/EU).
What I can do?
Yesterday I call the Xiaomi Support. They said "it's normal, you will get it later". Stable release was 07.03.2022 and 4 weeks later no update here :/

They said with unlocking the bootloader I will lose my warranty and when I try to install it (downloading from official site) it's not possible (EAA Rom)
Same issue here. I wonder if they have paused the updates until they release a MIUI 13 version.

The support told me from the release date (firmware) up to 90 days until it get activated for getting the update. So if 12.5 is released on 01.03 you need to wait up to 01.06
HI ; Same issue here... 4 poco m3 on family ,all locked bootloader, only one stop update at 12.0.11, I try to download full 12.5.2 ,12.5.3 and 12.5.5 from xiaomifirmware (also 12.5.5 downloaded from other poco m3 that is autoupdate) and I force update manually ,but I get message can't downgrade firmware ...

You can't. I send 2 back to Xiaomi and get both with new mainboards and 12.5 update.
Same here, Poco M3 global, still haven't received the update to 12.5 . What is going on?
It's almost September and I am still not getting the 12.5 on the updater app. I am on 12.0.11.0 (QJFEUXM) so its the European version. After trying to flash recovery and fastboot MIUI roms nothing has worked so far with bootloader locked. I have applied to unlock it.
Like I told ya

The main issue is, they haven't yet released an OTA for 12.0.11 to any of the 12.5 releases. I think there was a temporary one from 12.0.9 (or so), but not for the EU models I think. At least I can't find it anymore.
At the moment we can only wait and hope for an OTA update.

honestly I'm tired... poco m3 was not the most expensive model but it was not cheap either, I expect a phone on this price range to get at least the next android version. Otherwise what to do the nice specs if I can't have the nice software?

I have no idea whats the problem but I can't update. Xiaomi change the mainboard and now it works
Anyway as said, I'm tired. I will just change xiaomi/poco and get something else next time.
If I wanted subpar software support I could get some unknown brand for less.

But even trying to download and flashing the oficial ROMs yourself doesn't work. The updater app says "can't verify ROM" or sth and I have tried both EU and global ROMs. My roms are not corrupted and they are for Poco M3 citrus - I am sure. Fastboot flashing via MIUI flash tool also doesn't work. Basically unless you unlock the bootloader nothing seems to work.

does the OTA update work if you unlock the bootlader? I mean by downloading yourself the update.

I don't know. Still waiting for my bootloader unlock permission. I downloaded recovery and fastboot roms only. Plus OTA updates need you to be on specific MIUI versions in order to use them.
