Hi, I'm wondering if anyone would be so nice to upload a backup of the original, unchanged build.prop for the a500 tablet... I've made a few changes to mine but failed to backup the original. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

how to edit
I have mounted my system dir as r/w and I am unable to rename the build.prop file. I found the orignal backup in the same place as build.prop.backup. I just want to rename them temporarily so I can get the OS update just released. How do I rename the files. I have ES File Explorer installed. and system dir mounted as r/w.
Can anyone walk through a newbie to this on how to change the build.prop to let the market know I am not on an Acer A500 but a Samsung Galaxy S or other device that is supported on the App I am trying to download? (already paid for and working on my droid inc).
Thanks.
Can someone upload this file for me? I managed to delete it while messing with my Adhoc settings and what have you.
It's found in system/etc/wifi
Here you go, just change the extension. This is from the Stock ROM.
Fantastic! Thanks.
I've created a MOD and a flashable zip file to install it.
The issue, for which I cant seem to find any help on is:
On certain devices it is required to edit the /system/csc/feature.xml file.
I dont want to replace the file all together, but just add some lines (if the set isnt there) or edit the lines (if it already is there).
I figure its just some code i need to add into the updater-script, but dont know where to start?
Any help would be appreciated.
TIA.

Thanks for the reply.
I've already created a working flashable zip though.
My issue is that after someone flashes it, they then need to go into /system/etc/feature.xml and look for a few lines of code to edit or add.
What Im trying to do is to put those edits into my zip file so that the user won't need to manually edit the file afterwards.
I cant include the feature.xml along in my zip though, because in doing so it would completely overwrite the users current file --which has other important code inside of it.
I need someone that hasn't modified the following file to upload yours for me. Thanks!
/system/etc/htc_audio_effects.conf
