Allowing Audio Notifications for individual Apps through Do Not Disturb Mode - Samsung Galaxy S10+ Questions & Answers

Does anyone know if there is a way to allow audio notifications from individual apps when unrooted s10+ is in DND mode?
I'm using One UI 2.0 beta 2

Don't worry I've sussed it!

S7 Edge with 7.0 - lacking Power Notification Controls and screen wake notifications

Why the hells samsung removed System UI tuner? Or it's me that cannot find this controls outside?
Now we cannot control the notifications properly... with the levels. Whatsapp for ex gives annoying previews over each and every message and now only exist 2 options on notifications or put it silently (no preview + no sound) or preview+ sound... what a stupid move.
Also each notification wakes the screen... any way to turn this off?
If this is true, I'll happily skip the nougat update

Yeah but you see. Like thread starter mentioned. If enable show silently ur apps will completely silence. No notification sound and vibrate. He just want to disable the heads up notification only. Not the sound. Marshmallow seeting is better because they separate it.
ive been having issues with this as well ever since i bought my S7 Edge, coming from Nexus 6 i really miss the advance notification control inside AOSP. anyway to enable it in s7 nougat roms?
thanks

App optimisation?

If you go into your battery stats there is an option to select certain apps you want to optimise/ put to sleep! Does anyone know if you will still receive notifications from apps that are in sleep mode? Iam guessing notifications would NOT come through?
I had this problem on my S7 edge a few months ago : I didn't recieve Whatsapp notifications when this app was "optimised" in battery settings.
However, I don't have the problem on my S8

I just re-check, and yes. I recieve my whatsapp notification on my S8, and yet the app is in the list of the optimized apps. It goes in sleep mode after 3 days of inactivity like every other app, and yet I still recieve notification at the right time.
I can't explain how, because on my former S7 edge I had to remove it from the list of the optimized apps to keep recieving notifications. Maybe Touchwiz made progress
Btw, I'm using SM-G950F (AQDD)

It depends on how an app triggers notifications. Some apps still use non-push notifications that require them to refresh in the background. Most apps, however, receive notifications via a listening port that's built into Android. Consequently, background app refresh can be disabled and the separate notification service still functions.
Just because your Whats app is under the list for optimisation, doesn't mean is actually optimised as yet. For an app to be optimised and put to sleep, has to be not used 3 days in a row. Every time you check it, you restart the process.

App overrides Silent and DND mode?!

Hello, I have a certain app on my device (app for setting up home alarm system and notifying if the alarm is activated) which produces sound notification when a sensor is triggered. App works fine, BUT, when I put my phone in silent mode, or in DND mode, app still makes sound notification disregarding the mode. I've tried messing with permissions, and even disabling all notifications for that app via phone settings, but it keeps making a sound. Am I missing some option on my phone (because app doesn't have setting for that), because I really need that app, but without annoying sounds
nobody had similar situation?
fixed with media-mute app

Any way to re-enable do not disturb mode on slider after OOS upgrade

Hi,
I really liked the do not disturb mode that would silence all calls except those contacts that were stared. Is there a mod or hack that will bring this back?
It is still on the latest update, what do you mean. Dnd is still present
Its in the sound settings

Quick Tile Sound App

Hi all,can some one suggest an app that has these features for the s10+ android 10
-multiple sound profile (create different sound profiles,Normal,Medium,Low,Vibrate only,Mute) with the option to define volume of all "channels" to users liking.like Ringer, media, notifications etc.
-quick settings tile (like the default Samsung one rotating/cycling)
after testing a couple of apps i think i answered my own question
here is a link for anyone else looking for same functionality
