Hy, I own an S5 G900F. I flashed a stock rom latest version then my S5 root before flashing a rom Omega 2. Everything worked perfectly until I decided to change my sdcard having taken care to move all the files present on my old sd card on news.
At start of my S5 nothing worked, I have the screen that lights up with the SAMSUNG GALAXY S5 logo, powered by ANDROID but the top right I have the following message in red: kernel is not enforced seandroid and yellow: set warranty bit kernel.
I can not switch to recovery since disappeared, I just can enter download mode.
With odin so I tried to flash my S5 with stock rom (XEF-G900FXXU1ANE2-20140519102224).
Here is the odin message when I load this rom:
<OSM> Enter CS for MD5 ..
<OSM> Check MD5 .. Do not unplug the cable ..
<OSM> Please wait ..
<OSM> 900FXXU1ANE2_G900FOXX1AND3_G900FXXU1ANE2_HOME.tar.md5 is valid.
Checking MD5 finished Sucessfully
<OSM> ..
<OSM> Leave CS.
My S5 is well recognized by odin, it tells me blue com port 3 and
<ID:0/003> Added!
Top right of the screen of my S5 I have these messages:
ODIN MODE

KNOX WARRANTY VOID: 0x1 (4)
QUALCOMM SECUREBOOT: ENABLE (CBS)
SWREV RP: S1, T1, R1, A1, P1
UDC: START
I run flash with odin:
<ID:0/003> Odin v.3 engine (ID: 3) ..
<ID:0/003> File analysis ..
<ID:0/003> SetupConnection ..
<ID:0/003> Initialzation ..
<ID:0/003> Get PIT for mapping ..
<ID:0/003>
<ID:0/003> There is no PIT partition.
<OSM> All threads completed. (succeed 0 / failed 1)
The flash stops with S5 on the screen messages:
MMC: mmc_read fail
ODIN: flash read failure
I do not know what to do! Is it a hardware brick or a simple software problem??
Thank you for trying to help me if it is possible. I hope to have been clear
best regards,
Sorry for my english, this is a google translation
Not bricked but you need to flash a pit file along with the firmware, look here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2737448 for the correct pit file or how to extract one if yours isn`t listed (need root for that).
Thank you for your quick response but I already tried to flash the pit with odin without success always with the same message MMC: mmc_read fail etc ...
SM-G900F_pit_16GB.zip (fail)
SM-G900F_pit_16GB_SER.zip (fail)
SM-G900F_pit_16GB_ETL.zip (fail)
Something, some glitch apparerently corrupted your kernel. And that (probably subsequently) corrupted your partition structure. You are soft bricked at this point.
As gee2012 suggested, you now need to flash both the PIT and a full stock image. Stop trying to flash random PIT files or you may end up hard bricked. You need to identify the correct PIT and use that one. The PIT file should match your phone model, original carrier (i.e. match your baseband) and ROM size.
Flash the correct PIT in conjunction with a full stock Odin image from the matching carrier. Note that stock firmware is flashed as a tar file, but the PIT file needs to be flashed as a PIT file, if you are trying to flash it while it's still zipped that alone will cause it to fail.
.
i having the same problem
i'm having the same problem with my sm-g3502L, i have the corect pit file and the correct rom, but always failed, please someone help me, its very important
hi
I bought a secondhand galaxy S5. A have been trying to upgrade it to lollipop 5.0 but I have encounter all the possible problems you can. I start with the phones background (i am a new user so i cant post any images) because I am suspecting the first owner did root/update it with the wrong firmware(explain later). the phone is working fine except for the play store that is not working at all. so I just want a clean stock installation and after that I may root it later.
Phone info on the back of the phone when retiring the battery:

From what I understand my phone is a G900F, what i don't understand is why the first owner installed the G900TUVU1ANCH version. I want to put everything as it is supposed to be and also upgrade to 5.0 by doing it. But when trying to flash the stock firmwire i am stuck facing problems....
When trying to flash with odin (using the only the PDA, auto reboot and f.reset time check-boxes) i get the following error:

It's very clear, the previous owner has flashed 3 custom rom's on the device( knox 0x1(3) )and apparently the wrong one and i think that's the reason he sold it.
I think you need the right PIT file, you can google it or ask here for it.
BTW i'm Dutch too from Belgium.

I have never had to flash a pit file, but reading the instructions, it says you need to be rooted and have busybox installed. If your status is official you aren't rooted.
QUOTE from posted thread
Here i will show you how to extract the pit file manually with a simple way using terminal emulator or adb shell command.
your phone must have a proper root access, with busybox installed (preferred).
Even better, why not post your question at the high lighted thread, including all you phone info and request the proper pit file.

How can i bypass this secure check?? maybe this is the problem?
Any ideas??? I appreciate all your help guys even if what we tried haven't solve the problem
*#06#
Enter *#06# in dialpad to check if the IMEI of your mainboard match with IMEI numbers printed in the back... maybe your mainboard was replaced with G900T's mainboard.
i just did what you said.... the imei are the same except for the last two digits after the slash....
the emei on the sticker ends with: ........56401/03
when using the *#06# code: ......56401/10
is this normal? of is this going to be the explanation to the problem??
also when i use *#1234# i get this:
AP: G900FZHU1AND1
CP: G900TUVU1CNK2
CSC: G900FZZH1AND1
so i think the CP doesn't match with my phone model right?
I also tried to do a firmware upgrade and initialization with ODIN 3 by putting my phone model and s/n and i get this message:
So I downloaded this firmware apparently for Hong Kong at sammobile. I tried to flash it with ODIN but... i still have the same problem i am unable to flash anything to the phone. the only thing i have manage to flash until now is PhilZ Touch 6.59.0 and this firmware which is FULL of bloatware:

Download the ROM pakage (ZIP file) and don't extract... Copy the zip file to the root of External SDcard... Enter recovery mode, choose "install zip from External sdcard", browse the zip file, final choose install. Done! You should choose "wipe data/factory reset" in recovery to make sure the new ROM clean and not face any compatibility problem between old and new ROM.
Thank you very much!! Last question. Can i flash a european stock rom this way without any problems also? or does it only work with custom roms?
got a little overzealous with some settings and made it so my phone doesn't boot past the Verizon screen. I wiped cache and didn't help, factory reset, didn't work. Tried to flash back to 0k3, finally tried to flash back to pb1. When I try pb1, it hangs at the samsung animation and when I go into recovery mode it still says system recovery is 0k3. Every rom I try to flash does not change that so I dont think my falshes are actually flashing. I'm using odin 3.10. I really just want a complete clean re-install, but cant seem to figure out how to get that to work. It's probably something very easy, but I cant find a thread that sounds 100% similar
So everything during Odin flashes looks normal, but it still doesn't take? This is very strange behavior.
Try using another USB cable/port, and if you have access to one, another computer.
Odin logs? Screenshots? Not really enough information. Maybe find a new .tar.md5?
Everything looks like it flashes normal. I've used the same files on a different device with same files and hardware and that's worked fine. It passes but when I reboot to softloader it's still ok3

Will I still be able to root with stock pd1?
What is your CID? 15 or 11
Having trouble getting adb commands to work. Can only seem to get it recognized if I go into "apply update from ADB" and then its only sideloaded and flashboot just "waits for device." is their another way I can get that info without being able to boot the device up fully?

Not as of now, as the bootloader has been updated on exynos variants in january update patch. If you haven't updated to january patch, you could downgrade using odin, but be sure to check repartition and select CSC in csc tab of odin, NOT THE CSC_HOME.
Sent from my S7 Edge using XDA Labs
Thanx for answer !
I don't update the patch january

Well, in theory it is. I just done it, after I upgraded to newest bootloader. The only thing is (at the moment) vibration does not work on Marshmallow. Everything else seems to be fine.
I'm surprised they would block downgrading with the january update patch.

No issue with camera here, at all.

Just flash now newest firmware (all files) and make sure you use CSC files (not home_csc).

I have made it and now we are at the point 0.
my phone is looked with FRP and the problem is that I have forgotten the last email and I want to open it ?also i have updeted it with January 2018 update accidentally
Frp lock lasts something between 24 and 72 hours. So you have to wait. In the meantime, you can try flashing again (BL and CP you just used, and AP and CSC, not home_csc, of old software of you desire).
Thanks for the guide I used it successfully to get to Marshmallow as I wanted to get the Galaxy Labs feature, I now want to get back to Nougat but when I use the automatic update it says that I am on the latest version.
Hey, i have a S7 Edge, but my issue is the same: odin.
I try to root S7 Edge, now my Wlan, my Camera doesn’t work and my screen is to half red.
Now i try to flash my phone to 6.0.1 with G935FXXU1BPLB
The driver of Smart Switch and Kies are installed, but deinstalled and the Driver Booster installed the last driver what i need.

It's a mystery to me..
But flash custom rom MM over newest Nougat is possible? I reached max 2h40min with last update, battery is new, 3 full chargings. On MM battery life was much better ...
LE : After flashing SupermanROM V1.15.5 over stock rooted nougat, with last security patch from march(i think), vibration doesn't work and on "Always On Display" no icon for notifications.. I tried to flash BL and CP but not working .. I will try more next week ...

initially when the phone stopped working we took it to nearby mobile repair shop. he said this is software issue and i will intall its software. he tried software installation and failed to install. then he said i will change its motherboard if you want. i refused and took it back to home. than i tried to install firmware by using odin by myself and the results i have posted in my subject problem. after posting this issue in xda forum i waited for 4,5 days for someones reply. yesterday i took it back to some other mobile repair shop. some how this new technician was able to intall its software and phone starts. but a new problem shown. it keeps on restarting again and again. he removed battery, reboot, facory reset every thing tried. now he is saying its hardware issue. he want to replace its power IC.
im not sure what i should do. will replacing IC solve problem ?
