[Q] Replace S III motherboard from another country

Hey there!
Like many of you here, i have a S3 with a sudden death.
The thing is: i'm from Brazil and bought my phone in China, so the local authorized technical support refuses to help me, because he says it's very hard to register the IMEI number from a imported phone.
I think my only way out is to buy another motherboard and replace it myself, but again, i can't find any here in Brazil, so i'll have to buy from eBay on US and Canada or UK.
Anyone here knows to do it? I already teared my phone apart and know how to manually replace the board, but what about the IMEI number? It´s possible to do that?
There's any other problems or difficulties i might find on the way?

My gf's sister will come from NY at the beggining of april probably first week so i need to order a g2 soon. Smartphones are very expensive in my country due to nonsense taxes for example unlocked LG G2 32GB D802 is nearly $818 So you would understand why i want to buy phone from abroad.
I've considered three phones including Nexus 5 (actually ordered one and than cancelled), Sony Xperia Z1 Compact and finally choose to get a LG G2. I have some questions for you...
1- Where can i get a genuine unlocked 32GB LG G2 D802 with good price from a trusted seller ? By good price i mean under $500.

But in the comments of amazon a buyer wrote that this is not a D802, it is a D801 so i loose my trust on amazon seller. Problem here is i need to buy from a trusted seller because i may not have enough time to return a phone and get a new one plus i don't want to cause trouble to my gf's sister. She recently had a baby and last thing i want is to bother her with shipping it back than and checking a new phone if it is proper.
2- - I will be using G2 in Turkey and in here market is full of D802. I guess best suitable option is D802 isn't it ? What is main difference between unlocked variants of G2 ? I searched a little bit and found out network bands are different and most capable one is D802. Am i right ?
3- One more quick question. What is amount of user available space in 16gb and 32gb versions ?

I know swappa but the only 32gb D802 phone there is white and it is used considering that i am looking for a black , new phone there is no choice for me in swappa.

Korean version warranty in the UK

I am thinking of biting the bullet and going for the G6. The more I look at it, the more I like it.
I am thinking of the DS model, the korean one with the HiDac but my concern is simple - warranty.
Anyone knows what the warranty policy is in LG UK for products that come from Asia?

I don't think there would be any LG warranty.
eBay listings of V20 H990ds (Korean) models for sale in the UK all state that the warranty is that offered by the seller and not LG. This suggests the LG warranty is null. So I'd guess it would be the same for the G6.
Ofc the best way to know is reading the LG warranty itself.... good luck with that lol

You have to pay at your cost to return it to the seller . So make sure the seller offers a warranty. LG will do nothing in the UK.

My experience of LG in the UK is that they do nothing regardless of where the phone came from. I have a LG-G4 with the boot-loop issue. LG pointed me to my supplier who told me that it was an LG issue that they didn't cover after 6 months. I am also tempted by the G6 but LG's quality control and warranty issues have stalled me for now.

It’s looks super. Just few thinks ,,, I check Imei online and say that is LG G6 H780K
On the box it’s just LG G6 H780
Imei on phone and box they match,
But SN not. SN from box show on website is not available.
And SN from phone show on website that few people have it in other LG or Huawei phones. Pleas help.

Dude, why its so hard to figure out in google, what H870K stands for. Whats wrong in this world.... Go on google and you directly see, its the Australian version.

I had a similar thing with an LG G4 I bought 2 years ago.
Suggest you just call LG themselves.
That's what I did, turned out that the same serial number had been sold (and registered) in Germany a year before, so mine definately wasn't new.
