This method doesn't work any more on the latest version of Windows Insider app, Microsoft has fixed the vulnerability.
-------------------------------------
I post this method several hours after the release of Windows 10 for phone.
It original wrote in Chinese, I decided not to post on XDA, because I'm lazy to translate, I posted it on Chinese WP forum WPXAP.com and wish someone will translate it.
Today I noticed that there only a complicated method was posted here, so finally I decided to post an English version of my method.
What you need to do is: Download a file, Set a proxy and Get update.
No PC needed, you can done it within 2 minutes.
Details step for noobs (Read notice below before you really follow the steps) :
0.Open http://upwp10.chinacloudapp.cn:7777 in IE on your phone (My server is in China, maybe slow)
1.Tap 'Open', then 'Install'
2.Open Wifi Settings
3.Tap Wifi network you connected
4.Turn on Proxy
5.Server: upwp10.chinacloudapp.cn
6.Port: 7777, and save
7.Open Windows Insider
8.Tap 'Get preview builds'
9.Two or three options will show up (1st time you use this method, you'll get only 2 options. Otherwise, you will see 'Restore' additional)
10.Long-press Back key, back to Wifi settings, turn off proxy, then back to Windows Insider
11.Tap 'Insider Fast', then tap 'Accept' (Ignore any Chinese text you see)
12.You will get update
Notice:
Use at your own risk. Strongly recommend you test it on your second phone, do not update your primary phone.
Your token information(not password) of Live ID may be sent to my server automatically by phone, if you don't trust me, don't trust this method.
You can't use my proxy server to access internet, so don't forget to turn it off.
Make Backup, you may need Rest or Reflash your phone.
Huawei and Duo-SIM phone are not supported according to Microsoft.
Your phone model infomation will be changed to Lumia 636 after using this method. If you want to revert to your phone's original model, tap the 3rd option in step 9 and apply.
Check your 'Sys free space' in 'about' in Windows Insider. You need at least 250MB to install WP 10, or you will get 0x80188308 error (Sys free space show in Bytes, you need devide 1024 twice to get MB value. e.g. 556,646,400=530.86MB).
The only way to enlarge 'Sys free space' is Reset Phone or Reflash ROM. Reset only enlarge a little space usually, so I recommend Reflash ROM using Windows Phone Recovery Tool by Microsoft.
You will need about 500-700MB Phone free space (not Sys free space) to download the update, or you'll get 8018830f error.
DO NOT reset your phone if failed to update WP10, Windows Insider will broken(crash), it's a bug of Microsoft.
If you didn't join Preview for Developers program before (Means your OS version is below 341, usually 200), you will get WP8.1/341 update first, reboot twice follow the tips of Windows Insider, finally you'll receive WP10 update.
A lot of users repotered that OS version higher than 341(like 359 on new Lumias), you'll not receive WP10 update.
Damn. I thought I needed more system space, so I did a hard reset. Damn it I'm screwed. Anyway to fix it?
Thank u work grate

If you own a Nokia pone, you can try following this tutorial and reflash with Nokia Care Suite your original, or some generic firmware, if you need help getting your product code, you can get it looking under your battery there should be an RM-XXX code followed by another code of some 17 numbers (not your IMEI) and then you put on the "Data PAckage Manager" your Product Type (RM-SOMETHING) and your Product Code that are the first 7 numbers from that long code... Hope this helps to you
Help me :c

Reker,
I couldn't understand this part. I need to hard reset my phone via Windows Phone Recovery Tool, but I can't do it if i fail to update my phone to WP10? And my Windows Insider app will break?
Can you please clarify that part to me and send me some screenshots of your device too?
Thanks
~imatheussm
Factory resetting your phone will break the windows insider app, as per Reker's instructions. Reflashing your ROM is the only way to increase your system space if you're below the minimum required system space. It's a pain in the ass, another step to make you think twice about it.
So, has anyone tried this on a Lumia 521?
If not I will try it.
EDIT: Not enough System free space, about 124MB.
EDIT #2: Trying a clean flash of the ROM, as suggested.

Changed my settings to 1040_1021 (for Lumia 730). I have Lumia 930 RM-1045. How to change it to original ?

Changing back means having the registry information back as your phone originally had? the manufacturermodelname: RM-1045_1006 for eg. instead of the information this patch is applying.
Work with Lumia 920? If i do this how to back to 8.1?

Work. And you can go back with Lumia Software Recovery Tool or Nokia Care Suite.
And the Software Recovery tool back to 920 firmware not 636?
Windows Phone Recovery Tool will 100% return your phone to the correct OS
I had mine set to the L635, used the Windows Phone Recovery Tool and it recovered my phone back to the L625 100% working as it should
Some information is incorrect in the OP of this thread. You don't need at least 700 Mb, you only need at least 510-520mb for the wp10 update to install.
Also, as a reminder to users. When you set a phonemanufacturername, the mobile operator that the phone model appears on MUST ALSO match for you to receive the updates
Thanks loads. This worked perfectly on my Lumia 1320. Far simpler than that other method posted. This is in desperate need of a sticky.
I have followed the steps to the dot.. but my 930 keeps rebooting and receiving nothing.. I turn off the proxy, tap Insider (Fast).. I get "configuring your device..." screen, ajfnajksnfk in chinese, tap accept.. your device will reboot and so far it has rebooted 5 times, but no update yet.. what am I doing wrong?

Same to me
Now lets suppose, I successfully get W10 without resetting my phone. Will my 920 be known as 635 forever or will it get the right 920 software once W10 preview will be available for every phone??
Will I be forced to do the rollback to WP8.1???
Thanks!
With many thanks to @TaylorofCanada for acquiring and sharing this ROM, I would like to share with you a method to downgrade a Samsung ATIV SE to Windows Phone 8.0 GDR3. This method can be used to completely remove the Preview for Developers configuration from your device. This method wipes all of your data, and you cannot restore 8.1 backups on 8.0; if you are not experiencing significant issues with the current preview release, it may be ideal to wait patiently until another PFD update is pushed to this device. Another reason to flash 8.0 would be to take the OTA updates to 8.1 when they are released, in the event that the updates (or at least the firmware update) are not initially available to users with PFD installed (and you grow impatient). I have compiled a .zip file which contains everything that is necessary for downgrading your device. The .zip contains a README.txt file which contains detailed instructions on following the correct process; read it carefully and completely before attempting to follow.
If this method has brought you enough relief to feel like making a donation, I would suggest you donate to @TaylorofCanada. Without his release, this would not be possible, especially with such ease:
Code:
[URL="http://forum.xda-developers.com/windows-phone-8/development/taylors-super-rom-tool-dump-sgh-t899m-t3037789"]Taylor's Super ROM and Tool Dump![/URL]
I have created a thread for discussion of development with this device, so if you have an ATIV SE and you're into this kind of stuff, take a gander over yonder:
Code:
[URL="http://forum.xda-developers.com/windows-phone-8/development/research-reference-samsung-ativ-se-sm-t3044123"]Samsung ATIV SE (SM-W750V) - Research and Development Hub[/URL]
Please understand that following this tutorial may permanently brick your device or make it unusable in another way, even if you follow it correctly. It probably voids your warranty, as well. If this concerns you and/or you do not have a second device to use in the event of a mishap, I would suggest closing this page now. Following this process is of your own accord, and I will not be held responsible for any form of damage, losses, or anything else you may experience from proceeding. This phone has limited availability due to its Verizon-exclusive release, and as a result, there is minimal public research and development for it. I cannot guarantee that there will ever be a consumer-friendly way to de-brick your device in the future other than this, which can only do so much, so please proceed with caution:

Did you follow this tutorial when installing the drivers?

Also, download mode on this phone is Vol Up + Home.
Yes the unsigned drivers are installed ok. i have two laptops one win 10 64 bit and the other i put a fresh copy of win 7 32 bit on just to compare. both act like they see the phone but do nothing when it gets plugged in.
On Both systems the phone shows up as Samsung Windows 8 Phone , under universal serial bus controllers

I don't think MBN Creator works with this phone, but let me know if you get it working. Here are some helpful guides:
MMS/Internet sharing (haven't tested, I'm on VZW): http://forums.windowscentral.com/samsung-ativ-se/339425-6.htm#post3309723
Upgrade to Windows 10 (this is partially incorrect; once at Windows 10 you can and should do a Hard Reset): http://forums.windowscentral.com/sa...rading-samsung-ativ-se-windows-10-mobile.html
Mbm creator works i have changed tge csc code to match what my older ativ s had.

Any chance of being able to flush the ativ se with the ativ s ROM? I am in UK, want to buy the ativ se from USA but if its not working correctly or something it would be nice to know that I could use the ativ s rom UK and be done with it.
I already own the ativ s its been 3 years now, but its time to let it rest, plus I cracked the screen.
Thanks in advance people and thanks for the hard work on setting ROMs and everything.
Also a quick one. Is Samsung backing away from the ativ phones? I love windows phones but Microsoft etc are not quite the same as my trustworthy ativ s. Screen is not gorilla so it feels cheap etc.

No, it won't run a rom for a different device. Why do you need it to run an Ativ S rom? If the problem is setting it up for a different carrier, you can adjust that through the registry, as long as the phone's hardware supports your carrier.

Is not only the carrier i am worried. So since my Ativ S works perfectly fine (to what i need it to do) i thought if something goes wrong with the SE i could use the S ROM and be fine.
Oh well. i guess we will see???
I am using Ativ SE in India (got it from US) and it works flawlessly.. I am sure it would work on any GSM without any issues.. Worst case you may have some challenges in setting up APN but for that you don't need to port Ativ S ROM.. There are multiple tweaks which will take care of such issues

Hallo everyone,
to unlock the bootloader on the P8 lite is a individual code necessary and I'm asking me, if is possible to change the code. Has everyone information about the encryption methods of the Stock bootloader? I'm currently waiting for my code to unlock the bootloader and root the device.
Thanks and best regards,
Pucciano
We mentioned a few times before, you don't have to wait for the response. I sent my email to them about 1 month ago, still no reply.
This is only works for the ALE-L21 model, by the way:
Get this program, and extract it somwehere, then open it.
In the program, select HUAWEI C8812 and enter your IMEI. It'll give you a Product ID. Copy that ID.
Now open this site, and fill it out:
-Type: Smart Phone
-Model: HUAWEI C8812
-Serial: Settings->About phone->Status scroll to bottom.
-IMEI: Settings->About phone->Status scroll to bottom.
-Product ID: the one, you've generated a moment ago.
-Verification code: as shown on the picture.
Thats it. You should get your code instantly, if your press Submit.
I know, but for the online tool is a mobile Account necessery and don't work with an email regretted Huawei ID. And only a couple of Asia country's ar supported. I try some free SMS receive services but there numbers are consumed (only two codes in 6 months) I have to wait if one of them get free or order an Hong Kong prepayed SIM card. But my question is, it's possible to change the code or bypass it? Thanks
I wasn't able to register either, but the social login via Facebook works just fine. Give it a shot login with your Google+ or Facebook account, it should let you in.
Okay, i don't know that's possible with an Social media account. I try this today's evening. Back to my core question: If I get the Code, if is possible to change it?
Thanks Ante
I think it's not possible to change it without unlocking your phone at least once, but after unlocking, you'll not need the code again, so there's no point in changing the code at all.
The bootloader will remain unlocked, and I haven't found a way to relock it again.
I tried these commands:
Code:
fastboot oem lock 16digit_code_here
AND
fastboot oem relock 16digit_code_here
Sadly non of them worked.
Okay, i copy that but I think it`s sounds bad. I only open the bootloader of an device to root it or to install a custom ROM. After I finished my work I close it to prevent hijacking or bypass my device encryption keys. Btw I have only use nVidia Shield Tabs and there are Dev friendly. At the point when you open the bootloader all data is wiped! Is this on all Huawei device? I think I looking for a new device. The new Lumia 950 sounds good, but Windows? I hope there are possible to open the bootloader and install Android with an custom Kernel ?
For bussiness use I only recommend Microsoft phones or iPhones. These are well protected all round, almost with no customization options and the system works so well by default you don't even need it at all.
For personal use, I recommend Android. The most customizable OS nowadays.
As I said, my bootloader is unlocked, and I was afraid to lose all my data as well, but everything was in place after the unlock.
The Huawei crew is pretty developer friendly, I think. They put out the kernel sources, made the bootloader unlockable via the site(yes, it's not fully functional, but hey )
I've had a S3 mini before this and we had to beg for Samsung to release some drivers in order to get CM11 working fully.
I don't trust Microsoft in this case. A whole OS for free as a upgrade? Come on, realy? There are much more behind the scene as you and i can see. Windows 10 talk a lot with unknowen Servers. Try it yourself: Install Win 10 as a VM, disable all settings in the privacy settings and capture all with Wireshark. You see a lot of encrypted connections to unknowen (by RIPE, not Microsoft) IP addresses. Apple earn his profit with selling hardware, Google with seling Ads based on user Data and Microsoft with seling Software. I like the hardware of the 950, but it be only usefull for me when i can install any linux based operating system.
But enough oftopic
I have give away my Huawei P8 lite and looking around for a new one, but out there is not "my perfect" device.
I remember, reclosing and changing bootloader code are (currently) not possible.
Thanks for the conversation daviddosa

I managed to get the drivers from their website after a lot of struggle. I uploaded them to mega just in case others need them:

The decryption key is the following: !9fQTHbIb-H812jw2MwVOAPZoZvDGKuywgiRBkjkOwEE
The wifi driver is giving some security warning when you try to install it. I already had it working yesterday (using other drivers I found) so I decided to not install it when I saw the warning. The rest of them made my camera and touchscreen work properly though so they are good.

Hi, I've recently bought the core m3 version off Gearbest, but ran into a ton of issues out of the box. As with all chinese tablets/laptops/convertibles I buy, the first thing I did was do a Windows reset (to get rid of any potential bloatware/localization issues/ etc/). However, since the reset, I have been unable to charge the device beyond 80%, the pen that came with it is not registering any input, and the touch screen input is waaaaay off (closer to my finger at the top left corner, then deviates further off the further I get from that point).
Now, I'm unsure whether these issues existed prior to the reset, or whether they were caused by it (since I didn't really use the device long enough before the reset). The easiest way would probably be to send it back to claim warranty, but the whole claim procedure through Gearbest is a nightmare at best. I would prefer to try everything possible before actually attempting that ordeal.
I would like to try installing a fresh copy of windows over the "reset" version to see if the potential driver issues are resolved, but am unable to find the proper installer for this device from the myvoyo website. The one available is apparently for the atom x5-Z8300 version of the device, not for the core M version. I did try the drivers from the link above in this thread, but it caused a WDF_VIOLATION bsod.
tl:dr Does anyone have ANY suggestions as to what I can try to fix these issues, or potentially have a link pointing to the correct drivers/windows installer I will need to get the device back to the factory settings? (I speak neither Chinese nor Russian so the company's website and the apparently thorough 4pda forum was of limited use to me - google translate is wonky at best)
Thanks and sorry for the long rant.
WooHoo!! Thanks that fixed my touch and wifi issues!
Do not hesitate to contact them directly via e-mail (the voyo manufacturer). I just did and they seem very helpful (or I am just lucky). I am currently trying to install Android on the machine with their help. If I get all the drivers to work I will post here everything needed + instructions in case anyone wants to do it as well.

Hi guys
The drivers doesn't work anymore.. someone has them?
i recently bought the voyo v3 ultrabook from gearbest and it constantly just shuts off without warning. this kills windows after a while so have reset it multiple times.
tried to return it to gearbest but the cost was like £60 and then the post office wouldnt touch it because it contained a lithium battery.
basically gave up and accepted £15 compensation from gearbest - would like to try android on this as i have some suspicion that the device could be ok. it can go for hours when windows is not fully booted ie when restoring windows so this could well be on OS thing. trying android would be a good test of this.
big waste of money and time really, note to self is only buy from local stores in the future! doh.
Voyo stays in blackscreen
Hi together,
I need your help. I have the v3 flagship with m3-6y30 and it stays in blackscreen.
I changed the win10 boot options to safe mode and now the screen stays black only. The 'caps lock' led is working. I tried to enter bios or uefi, but it does not work, or at least the screen stays black.
Next I will try to connect micro hdmi to a monitor and I hope that it will work. Another solution would be to write a new originial voyo win10 image to the m2 ssd. Could anyone provide me his ssd image? Maybe someone saved it after resetting win10? I asked voyo for that image, but they did not answer..
It would be great if someone could help me.
Regards

Could solve it. I can enter Uefi by pressing Esc and I had to use an external monitor.
hi dschingi86
i have a similar problem - I did a clean re-install of windows 10 pro and the screen stopped working. The backlight is definitely working - i can see it come on, but nothing is displayed on the screen. the screen still works for touch though.
It only displays when connected to an external monitor via hdmi.
i've tried reinstalling drivers etc, but nothing works - how do i get the screen to start working again?
How do you enter BIOS?
please help

What type of m.2 ssd drive does the Voyo v3 Pro use sata iii or pcie? What is the maximum size in gigabytes that the Voyo V3 Pro can use? Do you happen to have a image file of Windows 10 for the Voyo v3 Pro? The link to the image file on the Voyo web site no longer works.
The WileyFox Swift 2 Plus is not a bad looking phone, the case feels good in my hand. It is almost small and light enough to fit into my shirt pocket should I need to.
It runs CyanogenOS which is an improvement on the standard bloated Google Android and is to be applauded.
3Gb for the System and 32Gb Storage, 2.4GHz WiFi, Dual Sim, External SDCard, NFC, Android Pay, Android Beam , FingerPrint recognition, 4G, 16Mp/8Mp cameras, 5" screen - great stuff especially for the price. It is however, designed as a city phone not an everywhere phone that much is apparent.
There are a number of downsides :crying:
The second SIM slot doubles up as the Ext SDRam slot - one or the other not both - what an epic fail !!!
Can't actually use the SDcard for backups or data or media - bit of a waste of space really. You need to root the phone and install SD Fix or similar.
It only works with 2.4GHz WiFi which is a disgrace given my ancient Xperia T covers 5GHz as well.
There is no real GPS only A-GPS which needs an internet connection to work - no good if you have a poor or zero mobile signal. This is really such a waste of time even implementing this instead of the real thing.
Only the Google versions of photo album and media player (which don't find local files), mail(gmail) , calendar, calculator etc are installed. If you like having to use a data connection and Google knowing everything you do then fine. I don't which means I have to install apps covering those functions. Shame I can't just install those I used on my Sony Xperia. If you already have favourites its not a big deal. If you don't then you have to start loading and trying out Apps to find the one you like.
Having set up the phone to your liking it would be nice to be able to save it that way. Which you can't without Rooting the phone.
To make the best of it you need to Root the phone - this is to be able to install effective anti-virus, firewall and anti-theft software. To be able to install Titanium Backup in order to actually backup the current state of the phone including apps and data to the SDcard as well as the cloud.
And remove the Apps that you don't use or don't care to have installed.
Would you use a PC without that type of software ? I suspect not - So why make a phone that you can't install the protective software on to ?
It is very simple to unlock the Bootloader and then Root the phone using SuperSU just using the phones developer options. No need to install ADB on the PC or install TWRP on the phone if you don't want to use a custom ROM. Unfortunately it invalidates the manufacturers warranties. :crying::crying::crying:
This could have so easily been a perfect phone, unfortunately a couple of poor cost cutting decisions have more or less ruined it.
Me ? I have already given away this phone after just 3 days, much to my disappointment.
Isn't A-GPS built on top of GPS and purely there for lock startup speed?
You're right, this "review" is full of nonsenses
1. The SD card slot is shared with second SIM slot, it is right. But SD card can be use to backup data or to extend the internal storage space (marsmallow feature)! You don't really need root and SD fix...
2. A-GPS is used to improve startup speed, which is really impressive (snapdragon!)
3. Photo album and media player, mail, ...? You could install whatever you want, there is a google play store
4. Root. No phones come with builtin root, but if you really need it, it is possible and easy to install.
I believe that there will be a community CaynogenMod ROM in the future - just like for the original Wileyfox Swift 1...
I'm very satisfied with this phone. Yeah there are some drawbacks - it has only 720p display (instead of full HD), it can be a bit smaller (just like the previous Swift) and the CyanogenOS has some bugs (for example the theme provider is time to time crashing...), but I hope it will be fixed in the future...
Even better
You can delete easily what you want with titanium backup. And whitout lag (not like a Miui rom).
The bootloader is probably one of the most easier than I've done in my life (not like a xiaomi one).
The SD cart can be use to save your backup, even my 128gb is working.
The screen it's just the perfect size & definition is the perfect combo for not to drain the battery.
Waiting the LineagOS for the marmite :fingers-crossed:
Just managed to pick up one of these practically brand new for only £100 for a friend.
Really nice build quality and look of the phone and packaging. CM13.1 looks nice and any bloat can be quickly disabled or even uninstalled. 3GB Ram is great as sitting here now, this phone has 2GB just sat there free. (Unlike the Nexus 9 for example!) If I was nit picking, the screen could be better and the fingerprint reader isn't as fast as my One Plus 3, (Not to be expected given the price.)
If I had this in front of me, a P9 Lite, and the standard Moto G4 for the same cash, I'd pick the P9 Lite due to its better screen. I'd pick this second due to the extra RAM and fingerprint reader, and the Moto last. If I had to pick a phone to last 2 years, I'd pick this over the P9 as CM13 is better than the strange Huawei stuff.
If Wileyfox could drop the price to £160, I think they'd be onto a real winner.

On the Nougat ROM:
Enabled developer options (tap build number several times)
Go to developer options
Enable the "OEM unlocking" option
Not so sure about the rest:
reboot into fastboot (adb reboot bootloader)
fastboot oem unlock
It seems like unlocking will wipe your phone... (At the fastboot step... I only recently got mine, haven't tried this yet)

Nope A-GPS is a cheap replacement for real GPS.
http://www.diffen.com/difference/A-GPS_vs_GPS
If you are running a WileyFox Swift with Cyanogen you will find that any of the GPS test apps will say there is no GPS.
A-GPS does NOT work without an internet connection.
Some phone use A-GPS to speed up their lock within built up areas.
Having said that the Swift running the Android v7.1.1 Nougat package the GPS has been enabled and the GPS Test tools now work.
Go figure why it wasn't enabled in the first place.

Depends what you want to use the SD card for, maybe something like saving your Titatium backups which can be removed from the phone if it is dead. And if you want dual SIM you can't use the SD card. And you need to root the phone to use the Marchmallow SD card unlock.
If you let the phone use the SD card as extended memory it is encrypted and you can't read it without that phone - thanks Google.

check your facts.
3. Photo album and media player, mail, ...? You could install whatever you want, there is a google play store
And if you don't like the pre-installed versions you need something like Titanium to remove them.
4. Root. No phones come with builtin root, but if you really need it, it is possible and easy to install.
And the UPDATES stop the moment you unlock the BootLoader let alone Root the phone.
Anti-Theft, Anti-Virus, Anti-Malware, Titanium Backup, Nandroid Backup all need ROOT.
The Cyanogen Anti-Theft stopped working when the website closed.
The point I was making is why should you have to 'break' your phone to protect your investment?"
I believe that there will be a community CaynogenMod ROM in the future - just like for the original Wileyfox Swift 1...
LOL - no Cyanogen is no more , although there is a movement to Lineage which may grow into a Cyanogen replacement

Yes I also like the phone and its even better running v7.1.1 Nougat - even though the Zen app is not needed.

Get your facts right, just about all phones use aGPS. And all phones lose updates when rooted. You make generic points and a tribute them to a particular device. Sad.

Hi,
I choose to unlock my swift 2 bootloader and flash TWRP using fastboot commands. If you have unlocked bootloader then using minimal ADB and fastboot command use: fastboot flash recovery recovery.img replacing recovery.img with the one you downloaded. So mine was fastboot flash recovery twrp-3.1.1-0-marmite.img as I am on the current official build.

Minimal ADB and Fastboot is a PC based program. I have provided link below for you.
https://freeandroidroot.com/download-minimal-adb-and-fastboot-all-versions/
Once installed you place the file to be flashed in the program folder with the other installed core program files in directory.
If you run the program you get the command prompt window as displayed in post. This is where you run the Fastboot common I advised you about in earlier post.
So in the command window type and execute:
fastboot flash recovery twrp-3.1.1-0-marmite.img
